Fetish Fairy Tales: The Emperor's New Clothes

Lumious Constare, Emperor of the Northern Isles, sat discontentedly on his throne. The man was a warchief, formerly the king of a single island nation, who had spent the better part of his life conquering his neighbors and subjecting them to his rule. He was now the undisputed overlord of the entire island chain. Well, perhaps “undisputed” was a little generous, but his navy was quick to quell any disputes that arose from rebellious nobles.

Constare had declared himself emperor scarcely three years ago and then taken over the palace of one of his defeated enemies. The city within which the palace stood had become the capital of the new empire. Artisans, scholars, would-be soldiers, and all manner of others had flocked to the city, eager to be swept up in the prosperity that would attended the birth of a nation. Except the wealth and success never came. The city’s population and borders swelled but it became rife with poverty and crime. The emperor, a military genius, lacked the political guile to safely grow his city, let alone his empire. The city, and the empire as a whole, endured, but it was a far cry from the promised golden age that had filled Constare’s army with hope when he had begun to conquer the other isles.

The emperor began to surround himself with servants and advisers, getting assistance and advice that he had not needed when he was a mere warchief planning his next victory. The empire took a shuddering breath as the leadership gained direction. As conditions began to improve, slowly, across his realm, Emperor Constare started to indulge in the vices of power. He imported animals from across the Northern Isles and held them in a menagerie on the palace grounds. He sampled exotic delicacies prepared by chefs hired from the mainland. He threw lavish parties for nobility and, much less frequently, festivals for peasants. And, in his greatest mistake, he hired a tailor.

Emeret Brindan had petitioned the court for weeks for an audience with the emperor, along with every other musician and craftsman seeking to sell his services to the crown. Brindan used his not inconsiderable talents to pose as a tailor, claiming that he could make the finest clothes in all the lands. The fact that he never demonstrated his wares or skill did not occur to the servants who sorted the talented from the riff-raff. Brindan was eventually granted an audience with Lumious. The emperor expected to weigh the man for suitability as the Imperial Tailor but things turned out quite a bit differently. No one, not the emperor, his wife, nor the guards present could remember exactly what happened at that meeting. Yet somehow Emeret Brindan walked out of the room as Grand Vizier of the Northern Isles, chief adviser to the emperor himself.

That is not to say that Lumious was not happy with the clothes that his Grand Vizier provided. The emperor believed that he wore the finest clothes in the Northern Isles and indeed anyone who met with him would agree that it was so. Only Brindan could see that the emperor was in fact wearing nothing at all. Each day his servants moved about him as though putting on clothes, actually believing that they were putting on clothes, but the emperor remained naked. This past winter he had nearly caught his death when he joined a hunting party, and none of his physicians could explain how Lumious had suffered from frostbite while wearing several layers of wool.

Emperor Constare's nudity was nothing more than Brindan's private joke. Today, that joke became something much more sinister.

The empress frequently wandered in the palace gardens after lunch. The wide paths connecting the flowerbeds were bordered by carefully groomed shrubbery that reached slightly past head height. They offered a measure of seclusion and peace to a woman whose days were filled with meetings of state. Delia Constare could even be without her guards during this time, provided they searched the gardens before allowing her to walk through them alone. Guards remained stationed at each of the four entrances to the gardens until the empress decided to resume her daily schedule.

The Grand Vizier strolled past the guard at the western entrance, who did not register his presence. While the bushy walls obstructed a complete view of the gardens, they were hardly a maze, and Brindan soon found the empress standing by a carefully cultivated willow tree. The woman turned at the sound of Brindan's footsteps and covered her surprise with a smile of greeting. Her time in the gardens was not an occasion for business, and she assumed it was business that had brought the Grand Vizier to her.

“Lord Brindan,” Delia Constare inclined her head slightly. “To what do I owe this pleasure?”

“Forgive me, my empress,” Brindan said, bowing lower than necessary in recognition of his intrusion. When he straightened, the man's fingers wormed through the air in small twitches that the empress ignored. “But I have just heard a troubling sentiment from one of your guards that I thought to bring to your attention at once.”

“Oh?” the woman gave him her full attention. As the Grand Vizier continued moving his hands, his words seemed to grow in importance. When he next spoke, the empress was hanging on his every word.

“Yes, my dear,” Brindan said, dropping any semblance of a formal title. She was too deep in his thrall to notice. “The guard I passed was questioning your wisdom and aptitude as empress. He scoffed at your daily retreat into these gardens. What capable empress, he asked, would need so long each day to recover from a few morning meetings?”

Delia Constare flushed, her pale skin becoming blotchy with patches of red. She shook with anger at the supposed transgression of one of her guards. In a harsh voice, she demanded, “How dare he? Who was this man, Brindan? He will answer for those words! I will see to it myself!”

“There's no need,” the Grand Vizier placated, smoothing the air with his hands.

The empress was abruptly calm. “Of course. There's no need.”

“The solution is obvious,” Brindan explained, stepping closer. “You need to show how capable you are as one of the heads of this new empire.”

“Yes... obvious...” the elegant lady's eyes were glazed, her mind buckling under the force of the spell.

“I can help you with that. I can give you wisdom, my dear, so that no one will ever doubt you again,” the Grand Vizier stood right next to the empress. He pulled her roughly and she slumped against him, still standing. With one free hand, the man continued weaving magic into the air around her.

“Yes... please... wisdom...” Delia Constare looked vacantly across the path as Brindan held her head against his chest.

“As you wish, your highness,” the Grand Vizier said, not managing to completely hide his smile anymore. He snapped his fingers, sealing the spell. The sound was a sharp blade after the softness of their low voices. “It's done.”

The empress stood bolt upright when Brindan snapped his fingers, fully alert in an instant. She remembered their conversation as if she had been responding normally rather than in a daze. She engaged in a moment of reflection, wondering at the counselor's promise. She did not feel suddenly wise. Perhaps it had not worked. Or perhaps the truly wise never believe that they possess wisdom. The Grand Vizier was smiling at her expectantly. Delia Constare did not realize that as the seconds trickled past, her intelligence was rapidly declining.

“I am sorry, lord,” the empress sought a graceful criticism. “It seems that I am, erm, that is- I am not... uh.”

Rather than become impatient as the woman failed to find the words to express herself, Brindan waited politely. As she steadily grew dumber, Delia Constare thought about how much she appreciated Brindan's courtesy. With her limited mental capacity, the empress was distracted by that thought and forgot that she had been in the middle of her sentence. The Grand Vizier held his tongue politely for a few more seconds until it was obvious that the lady was not going to continue.

Brindan wrapped an arm across the empress' shoulders again and pulled her close. The dim woman looked up into his eyes trustingly as he smiled at her. In a kind voice, he said, “There, you see? You are now wise, your highness. Immeasurably so.”

“Oh, yes,” the stupid woman nodded, believing him. She wondered what “immeasurably” meant.

“It's time to take off your clothing, my dear,” Brindan said gently, reaching to untie the lace binding the back of her elegant dress.

“I- what?” Delia Constare asked, unable to make the connection but unsure that there was not one.

“You have to be naked, Delia,” the Grand Vizier explained. “The most brilliant minds are always eccentric. Your eccentricity shall be a penchant for nudity.”

Several of the man's words exceeded the empress' limited vocabulary but he had already finished unlacing her dress and the rich fabric slid down from her shoulders. Brindan helped the lady out of her underclothes while she was still attempting to discern his meaning. By the time she was standing completely naked in her own gardens, Delia Constare had decided that it was easier to accept what her adviser had said than to endeavor to find the flaw that she suspected lay in his reasoning.

“Get on your hands and knees,” Brindan directed the empress. Unable to think of a reason not to do so, she obeyed. Her soft breasts swung several times as she steadied herself before they finally came to a rest hanging at their full size from her chest. The Grand Vizier withdrew a ribbon of expensive black silk from a pocket in his robes. He fastened one end around the empress' neck in a makeshift collar and held the other end as a leash in his hand. “Come along.”

The leash tightened around the woman's neck as Brindan walked forward and she remained in a crouch. Brindan stopped and looked back when she did not move. Fumbling for an explanation for her hesitation, she said, “I, uh, I just don't know. Um, why do I have to?”

Brindan knelt down beside the naked woman and stroked her glossy hair as if she were a pet. “You are wise now, my dear. Now that you are at the peak of intelligence, you do not have to think at all anymore. All you have to do is what I tell you.”

The complete lack of logic was lost on the empress. She relaxed, latching onto the last sentence, which she could at least understand. “Oh, yes. I get it now.”

“Good,” the Grand Vizier stood up and dusted off the knees of his robes. He led the way down the garden path with the naked woman crawling behind him. When they reached an exit to the garden, four guards approached to flank the empress, as they always did when she left the seclusion of the gardens. No one commented on her strange behavior, although later the guards would remark among themselves that the empress had seemed particularly deep in thought when she returned from the gardens with the Grand Vizier.

The empress missed her afternoon appointments. Brindan led her to the palace's kennel, where the hunting dogs were kept. At her adviser's instruction, Delia Constare began pleasuring the massive hounds one by one. Her guards positioned themselves around the kennel to watch for threats. Of course, none of the guards would dream of questioning the empress' wisdom in seeking to become pregnant by a dog. When she was filthy with the bestial steed, the Grand Vizier led the empress to the stables, and she set to work on the horses. She passed out before seeing to all of them, her mouth wrapped around a black shaft thicker than her forearm. The guards barely saved the empress from getting stepped on by the horse when she collapsed. Brindan left the woman in their care and returned to the palace's main building to see about dinner.

Andreia Constare sat slack-jawed in her seat at the imperial family's private dining table. The teenage princess was not alone: her father, Lumious, sat naked at the head of the table and her little sister, Lilith, sat across from her. The empress' seat across from her husband remained vacant; she had sent her regrets with the Grand Vizier after eating something at lunch that disagreed with her. The Grand Vizier himself was standing beside Princess Andreia's seat, his fingers twisting in the air around her. The watching guards, the servants bringing platters of food, and even her own family all ignored Andreia as Brindan spoke in her ear.

“You are the heir to this empire, Princess,” the Grand Vizier said softly, tugging at the 14-year-old's dress. One sleeve fell over her delicate shoulder, exposing a pert breast. Across the table, the younger princess did not even look up from her meal. Brindan continued, “But you know you are not mature enough to handle the weight of all of the Northern Isles.”

“I... need to be more... mature,” Andreia puzzled out the implication. She sat placidly as Brindan began to fondle her breast, his other hand still spreading his insidious spell. A minute later, when the spell was complete and the princess' breast had been thoroughly explored, Brindan snapped his fingers.

At first, Andreia appeared to return to normal. She giggled, perhaps a bit more girlishly than normal, and began eating her previously untouched food. She engaged her father and little sister in spirited conversation, and they made no comment on the simplistic style of her speech. When the first course was nearly gone, though, Andreia suddenly grew quiet and ducked her head.

“Is something wrong, my dear?” the Grand Vizier stepped forward again, next to Andreia's chair, his hands already plucking a new spell from the air.

The princess tilted her head up but would not meet Brindan's eyes. Barely audible, she said, “I peed.”

“I can see that, sweet one,” the Grand Vizier looked meaningfully at the damp patch on the front of Andreia's expensive dress. “It is all right, but it is best to get out of those clothes.”

Andreia bobbed her head, and with all the modesty of a two-year-old, the teenager began stripping out of her dress. Brindan took a step back as the pubescent girl stood and let her soiled garment fall down to her ankles. Her supple body was enough to make him regret not keeping her for himself, but he had already chosen this path for her.

The princess was rubbing at the cleft between her legs, displeased that it had released urine without her permission. The Grand Vizier was careful to take her clean hand as he led the naked teenager around the table to stand next to her father. Lumious looked up from his meal as though surprised to find his adviser there and Andreia similarly looked up at Brindan for direction.

“Your Highness, I'm sure you appreciate how much the princess has matured under my tutelage.” Brindan paused while the naked emperor looked at his naked daughter approvingly. “Yet I believe that your assistance is necessary at this stage.”

“Of course, Brindan,” the emperor blinked owlishly at the Grand Vizier, already under the enchantment. “I would do anything for my daughters, you know that.”

“Quite right,” Brindan agreed. He gave the regressed princess a push and she fell against her father. “Andreia has been having accidents, and I'm sure you will agree that you need to help put a stop to them. If you will plug her vagina up a few times per day, she will outgrow it.”

“Yes... of course...” the emperor's reasoning withered beneath Brindan's spell and he agreed blindly.

“You shall do this every day until you put a baby in her,” Brindan instructed. “That is the only way to stop the accidents for good.”

“Thank you, Daddy,” Princess Andreia said as Lumious lifted her into a better position on his naked lap. His erection throbbed to full length quickly and he claimed her virginity moments after. The Grand Vizier watched the incestuous couple for some minutes before the emperor came inside of Andreia. The girl sagged against him, burbling like a happy toddler, and Lumious continued his meal with his softening cock still wedged inside of her.

The Grand Vizier turned his attention to the only member of the royal family that was still clothed. He wove a gentle spell around her and said, “You will ask to be read a story from the library tonight.”

The last Constare looked up at him, her eyes vacant, and nodded. “Yes...”

“Sherry?” a small voice piped up from the swathe of blankets on the large bed. Nine-year-old Lilith Constare looked up eagerly as the oak door swung inward. Instead of her elderly nursemaid, though, Lily saw her father's Grand Vizier shuffling into the room. Brindan had already waylaid the caretaker on her way to fetch a storybook from the imperial library. The old woman was now taking a much-deserved night off.

Lily pulled a blanket up over her chest, covering her pink nightgown completely. The gesture was for comfort more than modesty: the Grand Vizier had always made Lily uneasy. He never said much to her so Lily had the impression that he did not like her. On the other hand, Lily noticed that the man was smiling tonight and looked pleased with himself.

“I apologize, little one, it's just me,” Brindan said, stopping a short distance from Lily's bed. His hands twitched at his sides, as though he was twining thread around his fingers.

“Oh, that's all right,” Lily said, after a pause. She knew she was expected to be respectful to her father's advisers but she had no idea how to react to one coming into her bedchamber.

“I must apologize again, for visiting so late. I needed to wait until night fell,” Brindan bowed a little. Lily appreciated the bow; it was how someone might address her mother. It made Lily feel a bit like an empress herself.

“It's fine,” Lily said generously, managing a small smile. She wondered if it would be improper to ask why the man needed to wait until nighttime.

“Of course it is,” the Grand Vizier said, stirring the air with his hands. “You are very happy to see me.”

Lily's eyes lit up. She kicked her covers back and crawled to the edge of the bed to be closer to the man, who was still several paces away. The little girl gave a genuine smile and said cheerfully, “I'm really glad you're here!”

“I know,” Brindan walked to the edge of the bed, since Lily showed every indication of getting off to go over to him. “I'm here to help you with your concerns.”

“My... concerns,” Lily echoed, her eyes losing focus. What had begun as a question turned into a statement.

“Yes, you've been so worried that you are not enough of a proper lady, like your mother and sister,” the Grand Vizier said, sitting down on the edge of the bed. Lily did not react to his change in position. Her glazed eyes still stared at the far wall of her room, in the direction that Brindan had been standing moments before.

“I want to be a proper lady,” the little girl said dully as Brindan's hands continued to spin out his enchantment.

“I live to please,” Brindan murmured, teasing the edges of his spell together between his hands. When he was finished, he snapped his fingers, breaking the silence of the room with a sudden crack. The princess collapsed, face first, onto her mattress like a puppet with cut strings. Looking down at her prone form, Brindan wondered if he had been too forceful with such a young mind.

Lily groaned and pushed herself up with her elbows. Her eyes, when she raised them to meet Brindan's, were wild. The little girl threw herself against Brindan, knocking him over so that he was laying on his back. She pressed herself on top of him and slivered up his body so that her face was above his. With their difference in height now compensated for, Lily began kissing the Grand Vizier hungrily. He felt her bucking her undeveloped hips against him, but since she was kissing him, her body was only long enough to hump against his belly rather than his crotch.

The Grand Vizier pushed the princess away from his face; he had no interest in children. The oversexed girl mewled pathetically as she rolled off of him. She began pulling her nightgown over her head, clearly believing that her lack of success came from not showing enough of her prepubescent body. Brindan masked his distaste for her behavior as she threw her bedclothes away and sat naked on her mattress next to him. Lily lunged for him again but this time he stood up from the bed.

Before the princess could jump off of the bed after Brindan, he fell on top of her, pinning her to the mattress. The little girl appeared thrilled by this turn of events but Brindan did not have sex in mind. He told her firmly, “If you will be a good girl and control yourself for a little while, I will take you to a place where you can be a proper lady.”

Lily stopped squirming and looked up at Brindan intently. She obviously interpreted “where you can be a proper lady” to mean “where you can have all the cock you want.” Brindan let go of her wearily but the naked preteen made no move to pounce on him again. She sat up meekly with an eager smile on her face. Brindan suppressed a pang of guilt from his traitorous heart. When he had hatched this plan, he had not fully considered how young Lilith Constare was, but it was too late now.

“I'm going to be a famous lady,” Lily confided, her head full of visions of herself being mercilessly abused by adults. It never occurred to her that the acts in her mind were indecent. To the contrary, she saw them as exemplars of proper behavior.

“Famous or infamous, but well-known to be sure,” the Grand Vizier nodded. He held out a hand and the preteen took it, scooting off of her bed to stand up.

“Huh?”

“It's nothing, little slut,” Brindan soothed. He led the naked princess out of her bedchamber to the anteroom. The four guards who were on duty this night fell into step behind the pair. They were amazed at how polite and regal the normally rambunctious girl was being tonight. The Grand Vizier led the way out of the palace and into the adjacent city. He navigated to the worst neighborhood, which had resisted all of Lumious Constare's efforts to improve it.

When the small party reached the filthiest brothel in the worst neighborhood, the Grand Vizier left them and went inside on his own, his fingers already spinning a spell out into the air. A few minutes later, the door to the tavern opened and Brindan gestured for the naked princess and her guards to come inside. The owner, a balding middle-aged man, was overjoyed at the arrival of such a distinguished young lady. He only had ten women working the sheets upstairs, and they barely earned enough to keep his small business afloat, even with the income from the tavern on the ground level.

Several of the tavern's patrons watched with interest from their tables as the owner led the small party upstairs. Lily's guards arranged themselves in the narrow hallway while she, Brindan, and the owner went into what would be her room. The room was small, stank of sweat and sex, and was furnished by only a narrow bed. The straw of the mattress was probably moldy. The Grand Vizier smiled; it was perfect. The princess certainly seemed pleased with her accommodations, immediately jumping onto the bed and rolling around on the dirty blanket that covered it.

Brindan turned to the brothel owner and asked, “How much is your cheapest whore? And your most expensive one?”

The man wrung his hands nervously, “Three copper bits, mi'lord, for Jenine. And for Savalia, men be glad to pay a silver bit.”

Brindan nodded, his hands unseen behind his back as they wove a spell around the man. “You will only charge two copper bits for the princess. But she is worth a silver bit, so you shall go to the imperial treasury to collect the eight-copper difference for each man that takes her.”

The owner bobbed his head greedily. With that kind of arrangement, Lily would have many customers and he would still pull in huge profits.

“Oh, one more thing,” Brindan paused in the middle of turning to leave. “I assume that business in your fine establishment slows down during the day, yes?”

The man nodded sadly, “Yer right about that.”

“Well, if you yourself have an opportunity to violate the princess during the day, when she is free, it is only fair that you still take compensation from the treasury. In fact, go ahead and take her now,” the Grand Vizier clicked his fingers together and the other man sprung to obey. Brindan closed the door behind him as the princess lost her virginity to her new keeper. He nodded to the guards, who saw nothing out of the ordinary, and continued back downstairs.

Brindan left the brothel, snorting with derision as the girl's childish moans of delight spilled out into the street from her open window. He had brought the whole imperial family to its knees in a single day. It was anticlimactic in many ways. He had spent over a year as the Grand Vizier secretly diverting funds and arms to his private caches. Today's humiliation was bittersweet because he would not be around to appreciate it. With the nature of his spellwork, no one would notice anything unusual about the emperor's family for over a month. By then, Brindan would have raised an army with gold and weapons stolen from the emperor's own provisions. For Brindan was more than a magician; he was the son of a former island king. The so-called emperor had beheaded Brindan's father after conquering his homeland. A month from now, Brindan would be in a position to take everything back.

Killing the emperor would have been both unsatisfying and ineffective, since Brindan's goal was to sway public opinion away from the emperor. When his spells wore off, everyone would understand that the empress fucked animals, the emperor had impregnated his own daughter, and his youngest daughter was a cheap whore. While those scandals still hung heavy in the minds of the people, Brindan would drive the imperial army from his homeland. And who knows what would follow? Brindan might be in a position to become emperor himself.
