She's becoming later and later." A car door slammed and drunken voices shouted, "Goodbye Nikita." A screech of burning rubber indicated a nutter drove the vehicle. "Here she is now Janis said brightly as the hall clock struck 8:00. Claude groaned "Holy fuck!" and the backdoor slammed shut and their bright-faced blonde daughter entered with a cross crookedly painted in purple lipstick on her forehead. She smiled and cooed, "Hi guys... are you still up?" "What day is it?" Claude roared. Nikita's forehead wrinkled. "Fuck dad, start me off with an easier question like who am I?" Another roar from Claude followed, this time insisting his wayward daughter not use such disgusting language in front of her mother. "What's wrong with the word 'question'?" Nikita giggled between hiccups. Janis said, "Shut up Claude, can't you see attempted conversation is useless?" She took Nikita to the shower and pushed her in and told her daughter to remove her clothing after all traces of food, smoke and sex had been removed. When Nikita undressed her mom said, sounding bewildered, "God, how many times did you have sex? You body is covered in scratches and welts." The twenty-four year old said, "I lost count mom, but does it matter? I don't love any of the guys or girlfriends." "Girlfriends, you have sex with females? Oh god Nikita, you are doomed." After putting the delinquent younger child to bed Janis marched out and snatched the newspaper away from her husband. "Claude, we must talk." Nikita came down at 6.45 that evening, smiling and beautifully groomed, acting the role of dutiful daughter. She kissed her apparently happy parents and made them drinks and then set the table for dinner and told her mom to sit, that she would check the meat and if ready remove it from the roasting vegetables to rest. She continued on and served dinner and had opened her father's favorite red wine. Conversation was light and non-combative. No mention was made of Nikita's arrival home that morning until dinner finished. As Nikita rose to clear away her mom said sternly, "Sit down Nikita." Nikita thought oh god, they want her to watch TV with them. "You father and I have been talking," Janis began ominously. "Oh-oh. Pour me more wine dad." "No," said Janis but was ignored. She attempted to grab the glass from Claude but he reacted too quickly and poured more wine for his daughter. Enraged, Janis jettisoned the preliminary talk and dove straight into it. "Your father and I want you to leave home, leave town and leave this county. Since you graduated you have left five jobs and have been without work for five months and fallen into the company of undesirable people." "I don't call your friends undesirable mother; I just keep my mind neutral." "Shut up. Do you hear? Shut up." That venomous retort jolted father and daughter, being so un-Janis like. Nikita shifted her chair closer to her father. They waited in silence for Janis to continue. "I went through hell giving birth to you compared with Jack although he was a pound heavier. I nursed you through your childhood troubles and in the main accepted as being treated like shit during your early teens and then being virtually ignored during your late teens and your interest in me resumed when you began building your wardrobe to go to college and wanted extra financial support. Well I won't standby and watch you spiral into the den of iniquity." "Into what?" "Shut up I said! Nikita Jones, you are fast becoming a loser. You father and I have discussed this. We want you out of here and away from us. We have decided to place $50,000 in your bank account but with the warning it will be a waste of breath asking for any more money. Now please plan your departure." "Daddy?" "I'm sorry dear. Our agreement was I'd let Janis do the talking. Do you have anything to say?" "Well yes. I suppose I should have seen this coming. But mother, I congratulate you on a stunning performance. I'd mistakenly considered you lacked courage. I am sorry to have been so wrong and I apologize. You acted beyond belief but what a time for me to bring out the bitch in you." Janis burst into tears and began running from the room but halted at the door when Nikita shouted, "Mother stop! I have a question." "Yes?" Janis said, wiping her eyes on a sleeve. "What's the bottom line?" "You may return in three years from today as a loser and I'll spend the rest of my life looking after you. But please, oh please Nikita, return sooner if you find your are making a success of your life." "Thank you mother. Understood." Claude returned with another bottle of wine. "This is not a great time for the three of us; it's going to be very traumatic for your mother. I'll suffer for weeks if not months." "Poor you. Now don't continue being a lazy asshole around the house as mom has become used to me helping out. I want a commitment from you dad." "Oh all right and if I'm not doing things good enough for her or not doing enough I'll hire part-time help." "That's my boy. Why $50,000 and not $5000 or $10,000?" "I had suggested ten grand but your mother said no, fifty. I asked why and she said it would be enough to buy a stake in a business if your mind turned in that direction and you saw the opportunity. I had to agree with that." "Me becoming involved in business ownership? Are you kidding?" "You have a master's in business administration." "Yes I took that direction because Macy and Susanne did and because I failed to get into music." "Whatever, the time has come for you to make a career decision my darling; it's your choice: the choice between becoming a bum or pushing into a career. Get some good experience under your belt and you can return home and work for me." "I could do that now." "Sorry darling, but I wouldn't consider engaging anyone with your lack of experience and pitiful attitudes and lax behavior. Cheers, this is good wine." "You're a fucking tough ass dad. I have to concede that will be one reason why you are so successful in business. Finish your glass and go to mum. She'll need comforting." "Some things you are very good at," grinned her father, finishing his glass and kissing her. "Just remember, whatever happens you will remain our daughter and will always be welcomed back here. Just don't rush to come back." Janis padded out to the kitchen next morning for her glass of warm water with a squeeze of lemon. Her scream brought Claude rushing out, his spent dick only just used, swinging. "She's gone," Janis sobbed. She didn't kiss us goodbye. Claude remembered the kiss last night; it had been a mite longer than usual and yes, Nikita had also hugged him. Christ, she'd been saying goodbye. He read the note Janis had thrust at him, her hand shaking. 'Goodbye mom. Thanks for everything. I leave you my high school graduation ring you gave me. It's the first time I've had it off my finger since that afternoon you cried as you gave it to me. Keep it safe. I'll be back for it when I believe I deserve to wear it again. Your loving daughter Nikita. Kisses to you both. I'm picking this trauma will make you guys a closer couple. Bye dad you lovely man.' "This ring was my grandmother's. I believe it was Nikita's prized possession." Claude almost whispered, "Well she doesn't possess it now and right now she's homeless." "Oh god, what have we done?" "The right thing. Now stop your crying and get my breakfast." Janis sniffed. "Well you get that bared thing out of my kitchen." Claude walked off grinning and called he'd make the bed. His wife heard that in disbelief. * * * At 6:00 am Nikita boarded a bus in Indianapolis and later that day, after bus changes, crossed the second state line and considered she was sufficiently distanced from her parents to settle. She left the bus at a city of 54,000 people and checked in her three travel bags, being told the office closed at 8:00 pm. After eating Nikita purchased the morning newspaper and went into a bar to settle in and look for a job. She'd circled four prospects and was folding the newspaper when a freckled faced guy wearing glasses said, "Find what you were looking for?" "Who knows? I guess I'll find out after making some calls." "Agencies?" "Yes." "You must be aiming high. I'm Alec." "Hi, Nikita." He grinned and said that sounded like the name of a Russia princess. "So I've been told before. Mom late in pregnancy was reading a novel and the heroine called Nikita and the name stuck and I ended up with it." "You could have shortened it to Mary." "Yeah but who wants to be called Mary apart from women called Mary?" Alec laughed and asked, "Are you new in Owensboro City?" "Not all that new. I arrived almost two hours ago." He laughed. "Where are you staying?" "Undecided." "Come home with me." "No thank you." "Mom runs a rooming house. When I left this morning one of the girls was moving out." "All right. Give her a call." Alec's mom Mrs Olsen greeted Nikita warmly and the inspection revealed a fairly large and well-lit room with French doors opening to the lawn. The thing that caught Nikita's attention was Agnes Olsen was clean and tidy as were the room and other parts of the house she'd seen. The rental seemed fair so Nikita took the room for the minimum term of one month. "I serve dinner at 6:00. There are four other young women and we eat with my husband Hank and son Alec." The other females ranged in age from early twenties to early thirties and were quick to establish with the newcomer what little commonality there was between them. They were from rural areas and went home at the weekend, the closest being forty miles away. None had ever been more than 500 miles away from home and were astonished to find Nikita had been to New York, Chicago and Miami, Rome, Paris and Berlin with her parents. "I might be able to get you a desk in our word processing pool." "Oh thank you Carole but I'm thinking a position in middle management would be more appropriate. I have a master's in business administration." Everyone gaped. "None of us went to college," Cynthia volunteered. "What does your education entitle you to do?" Hank asked. "Run a company once I have amassed sufficient experience. I am academically competent to build the team, engage in contract negotiations, analyze company strengths and weaknesses, coach managers... just the ordinary every day stuff really." "My brother Mason needs someone like you." Jane said and Cynthia giggled and said, "Mason can't hold on to his girlfriends so what hope has he of supervising a top babe with a top brain like Nikita?" Everyone laughed and the conversation turned to fashion, the two men eating silently. They had coffee in the room Mrs Olsen called the sitting room and then Jennifer went off to the movies with Alec. He invited Nikita to accompany them and she declined politely, knowing she'd made the right decision when she glimpsed the relieved look on Jennifer's face. When Mrs Olsen left the room to help her husband finish clearing away Cynthia said, "Jennifer is allowing Alec to get a leg over." That began a giggling fit and Nikita was happy to join in. The women were less sophisticated than she was used to but they were friendlier and less competitive from what females she was used to, definitely. Three of them began playing cards, leaving the older one, Jane, who'd said she was thirty-two, talking to Nikita. "We all come to work in the city to get decent pay and to find a husband." "How is the search going?" "Not very well. I have been engaged once and had two near misses." "Would you like me to advise you? I have no trouble attracting men." "Yes, but look at you, blonde and beautiful with a great figure." "It's only a matter of degree. I could soon have you looking delectable and if we are together long enough I could perhaps fine-tune you." "Fine-tune me?" Jane whispered and sounded very interested. "Yes. By that I mean make you act more feminine." "I'm one of six children; the other five are guys." "That figures." They giggled. "Come with me to my office tomorrow with your CV and other papers. I'll introduce you to our office manager who's looking for an assistant and has rejected about ten applicants produced by the employment agency." "Well, why not? And then I'll meet you for lunch and begin my grooming program." "Goodness, I'll be so embarrassed. I don't even allow my mother to make suggestions but you seem to have this power." "Power?" "A strength I suppose. I can feel it." About an hour later the others went off to their rooms and Cynthia came back into the room where Nikita was reading and handed her coffee. "Would you like to come home with me this weekend? Mom was a city girl until she married and just loves meeting women from the city. She buys heaps of magazines and watches the Living Channel so is up to date on fashion and social trends. On the farm jere we are into mixed cropping little changes except the seasons." "Yes, I would like that very much. How will we travel?" "We all have vehicles because none of us live on bus routes. I have a Jeep. You might like to go halves when I fill with gas." "No, I'll pay the lot. You are being so good to me." "Half Nikita. Anything more wouldn't be fair." Dumbfounded, Nikita had the brains to realize she was learning something about rural values. * * * Sue Prichard looked over the top of her glasses. "You are over qualified for this position Nikita." "Sue I'm new in town and need a job but even more critical I must amass experience otherwise the value of my degree will die on me." "Very well, you're hired. Come with me to HR. You'll start in the morning at eight-thirty." * * * Jane and Nikita met for lunch. "How did it go?" "Brilliant thanks darling. I won the job. Here, this is a small appreciation." "Oh congratulations, I'm so pleased for you. Oh god, this is French perfume, so hugely expensive." "Jane, stop it. You are practically groveling. You are being kind and appreciative but you've got it all wrong. Now say this after me. "Oh god, this is French perfume. This will become my favorite perfume. It's so sweet of you." Jane said that and asked with a frown what was the difference? "What you just said maintains us as equals and delivers appreciation eloquently. When you said earlier the perfume was so hugely expensive that placed you subserviently. In other words, beneath the person you were addressing. It's only a subtle difference but you do it frequently. Understand Jane people EXPECT you to treat them as your equal and if you don't they begin to wonder. For example, after you've had sex do you say, "Oh I'm so grateful for you doing that to me or' do you grab him by the cock and say, 'Hurry up and recover. I'm ready to be slammed again'." Jane gurgled and grabbed her glass of water and spluttered and choked. "God Nikita, you can't talk to guys like that." "Oh yeah? You don't get fucked very often do you; I wonder why?" Jane looked at the tablecloth and said, "Because I fail to speak up to guys in such situations." "Yes, exactly; you are not telling them what they expect to hear and you must never, never shock them. Tell me Jane, when you have the hots for a guy and he's not switching on to you have you ever said to him, 'Shall we fuck?' No, don't answer. I know you haven't and you probably never have the hots for a guy. Oh do we have work to do." "Help me Nikita, please. Oh please." Nikita arrived at the dinner table at 6:00 and put three bottles of quite expensive sparkling wine on the table. "What's the reason for this celebration?" Hank asked. Carole said, "Nikita had won a job at Jane's office. Jane told me Nikita will be her immediate boss as assistant office manager. "Oh Jane," Nikita cried. "I didn't know, I just didn't think." "It's fine and as you work towards top management I'll claim responsibility for starting you on you career. You have the qualifications and I don't, so how could I grizzle?" "Well answered Jane. You have the makings of a good friend." After the toast to Nikita's success, Cynthia announced, "Nikita's coming home with me this weekend." "Yes and thank you. It's such a lovely invitation. I'm so excited being a city girl." The other three cried they wanted Nikita to come home with them so Jane went off and returned with paper and pen. "Right, let's begin a roster and post it on the notice board. I suggest you time an invitation when something is happening, like monthly market day on a Saturday or a family reunion or a christening or haymaking." Nikita had been considering buying a Mercedes convertible, taking a big chunk out of her money but when been driven to work by Jane in her Jeep next morning she asked how much did that vehicle cost and was astonished at how reasonable the purchase price had been. "It's pre-owned with a fairly high mileage but goes well. Three of us have Jeep Wranglers." "Could you assist me to buy one during our lunch break today?" "Sure, we all purchased them from the same dealership and I know the salesman Max rather well. He... er... God what am I saying?" "He fucked you?" "Oh Nikita, please tone it down. Yes he did on the second time we went out. This is the second Wrangler I've purchased off him." "Is he married?" "No, says he can't find the right woman." They sat with Max in his office, Nikita noting the tag on the door stated sales manager. "Why do you want a Wrangler Nikita?" "Because Cynthia, Jane and Carole have one." "But Jane whispered to me about you and described you as executive class." "That's bullshit." "Then why are you grinning? You know Nikita if it's left to me I don't match a car to what a buyer and his or her friends drive. No I match it to the person I see and that person's charisma." Nikita giggled and in total control said, "That's bullshit and you know it. I'm surprised because Jane told me you were the finest man she'd ever dated and would love to have children by you, providing you two were married." "Jane said that?" Max said, staring at Jane who appeared to be praying to sink through the floor. "Yes," Nikita lied, "but could we please concentrate on me. You can arrange a date with Jane later. I called your claim bullshit." "Excuse me Nikita but I have completed a diploma course over 20 weeks entitled 'The Psychology of Vehicle Buying'. Matching client to vehicle is important and is one of the reasons why people, when they get it right, remain loyal to that car maker and the new generations of that model." "That sounds convincing." "My sales have lifted as a result of being motivated by that course." "How big a lift?" "Thirty-two percent Nikita and I'm maintaining it." "Well that convinces me. Then lead me to my vehicle maestro." "I can't, we don't take possession until next Tuesday." "Max, you are straining my patience. You have what twenty..." "Thirty-eight." "You have Thirty-eight Jeeps right outside or in the showroom and you say the right one for me is not there. Normally I'm patient Max but..." "When that vehicle is placed on the lot next Tuesday it will be the best value for money vehicle we will have on display that is absolutely perfect for you. I can't imagine you being big into off-road driving." "Correct. What color is it?" "Bright silver metallic clear coat." "Well at least you have that right." "Please show me a comparative vehicle on display." Abandoning Delinquency Max took them to a Compass diesel. "This is a similar vehicle but your one will..." "My one? Max you are taking psychology forward with a bit of a rush." He grinned. "Your one is only a year old and the mileage is only a mite higher than this one and for only $500 dearer. Take this model by all means but as you are a friend of Jane's just allow me to say Tuesday's Jeep is in near-new condition and with a sun roof and is totally unmarked." "Thank you Max. I'll take Tuesday's Jeep on your recommendation. I'll pay for it now." "Just one grand deposit to secure your vehicle at this stage Nikita. Are you right for Saturday night Jane?" "Excuse me?" "It's his way of asking for a date Jane. Make him ask properly." "Jane, may I take you out on Saturday evening?" "Yes thank you Max." Jane threw a quick glance at Nikita and sucked in breath. "What a kind offer but could you do better than taking me to a diner as you did on our last two encounters?" "Yes Max, if you want it you have to earn it. Jane expects a bit of style and devoted attention." Max and Jane watched Nikita open mouthed as she began walking back to the office. CHAPTER 2 Cynthia picked Nikita up from her office at 5:30. They had placed their overnight bags in the Wrangler that morning. "We'll take your vehicle next time. I figure it will have a softer ride and it will be much more economical." "Sure." "What's it like to drive?" "I don't know. I haven't seen the vehicle yet." "But you mightn't like it." "We dealt with Max. You know him. He's back to getting a leg over Jane so is unlikely to cut a raw deal with me. He said he's matching the vehicle to me." "He said the same thing to me, that I was suited to the Patriot but I took the cheaper deal. Actually I might change to your model. I think it's the best Jeep model for women." They reached the farm in just under one and a half hours. Cynthia's mother Mrs Allen, who was short and as dark-haired as her daughter apart from the touches of gray, ran out to meet them. She kissed her daughter enthusiastically patting her rump and then looked across the vehicle and smiled, "Hi, please call me Valerie." "Hi Valerie, I'm Nikita. Do I rate a kiss too?" Valerie laughed and ran around the vehicle saying, "I think I'm going to really like you. Gawd, you are a giant." Three guys holding beer bottles came out. "Hi dad." "Hi, give your tired pa a kiss. The young guns have worn me out at the pace they set. We've been crop spraying." She introduced Nikita to her father and they shook hands. "Hi Sinful." "Hi Grahame. Nikita this is my brother." "Hi Grahame." "God you're a bit of something." Nikita turned pink. "Hi Harris." "Hi Sinful." "Harris is Jennifer Crowley's older brother." "Oh hi, I really like your sister. She's teaching me to play cards." "So you live at Ma Olsen's rooming house too?" "Yes, I arrived Monday from almost 400 miles out west." "Do you like it here?" "In the city yes Harris, but I'm not sure about out here without traffic lights and a cop on every corner keeping me under control." Grahame said, "So you're a wild one?" "Anything but Grahame," said his sister. "Nikita is a proper lady, setting the tone in our rooming house." "Thanks for wrecking my chance of a wild weekend," Nikita said, and everyone laughed. Valerie hustled the girls inside and gave Nikita the chose of the guest room or sharing with Cynthia. "I-I can't decide." "Share with me." "Thanks, I will. I wanted to take that option but didn't know if you did." "You are such a sweet girl," Valerie said. "You handled that so diplomatically." "Sweet... me? My parents have only just thrown me out of their home because of what they call my delinquent behavior." Valerie looked shocked and sat on the bed. "Now I want to hear all about this young woman." Mother and daughter listened spellbound as Nikita described her home and social life since graduation. "I just couldn't settle. I'd lit the candle at both ends at college and had a real ball and wanted that life to continued. But last Sunday mom rang the bell on me. I left before they awoke next morning and on the long bus journey I told myself I had to turn my life around and all this week I've tried to act like a lady." "You performed credibly... I had no indication you were in need of reform," Cynthia said. "Having you four girls around assisted me more that you'll ever believe." "Mom Jane took Nikita into her office to present her as a possible candidate for a job they were having trouble filling and now Nikita is Jane's boss." "Good heavens. You obviously impressed someone." "Valerie, I can be very nice when I try. This is for you for hosting me." Unwrapping the package Valerie cried, "Ohmigod, a wrap," she cried, holding out the acrylic garment in metallic blues. I don't have one; I've always wanted one." Nikita demonstrated the several ways it could be worn and Valerie said Nikita was so sophisticated. She was handed a package for her husband. "It's after shave balm in a tube and knowing Mr Allen was likely to be a rugged farmer and unlikely to wear the stuff gays wear I was careful about brand choice. The brand name is Diesel." Mother and daughter screamed with laughter and both agreed that it had been a very wise choice and very wise not to hand it to Ross in front of two young men capable of teasing him into a rage. A little over three hours later Nikita went into Grahame Allen's SUV to be fucked; as least that was what she expected to happen. Harris had gone home and after dinner Grahame had taken Cynthia and Nikita to a bar twenty miles away. It was hot and crowded inside and after Cynthia had disappeared with a guy she knew, winking at Nikita, Grahame had suggested they go outside and cool off. Grahame obviously thought sitting in the back seat of his car was cooler than inside the bar, and it was. He handed Nikita a bottle of beer after unscrewing the cap. "Do you drink beer?" "Yes." "What else do you do?" "Fuck. I gather you were hoping I'd say that." Grahame waited patiently until she finished her beer. He then tossed the bottles under the front passenger seat and said, "Let me at these beauties." "Only if you're well hung." He unzipped and invited her to inspect. "God yes, get me out of my bra; I'll help. They kissed and cuddled and he slurped breast until he wanted more action and wound his feet around her and invited her to suck him off. But Nikita proved her versatility. She kicked off her shoes, removed her skirt and climbed over him to begin a sixty-nine." "Where are your panties?" "I chose not to wear them knowing they'd probably get lost. I noticed how you were glancing at my tits over dinner." "God you taste sweet." "I haven't had a pee since preparing to go out. I was hoping this would happen. Don't be afraid to also use your fingers." At that invitation Grahame advanced into once of the best fucks he'd experienced. As they worked into this missionary Nikita somehow had him squeezed so tightly that he felt his eyes must be gyrating and then he blew hugely until he felt he was going blind. But that's where the good part ended. Forgetting where he was he rolled off sweating, jamming himself between the front and rear seats. Laughing hysterically Nikita told him to stay put until his strength returned and she would help lever him out. After dressing Nikita moved the passenger front seat forward and that allowed Grahame to crawl out. "Let's fuck again," she cooed. But Grahame copped out. "Nah, you are too much for me. I'm done; let's go back to the bar." There was no sign of Cynthia in the bar so Nikita went out into the other parking lot and heard her yelling. She rushed over in that direction and found her friend half out of the car, dressed except for her top that was in her hand. "No, stop it. I don't want any more. I've had enough." "Come back in her babe. You don't go until I've finished with you." Nikita pulled Cynthia from the guy's grip and Cynthia flew into her arms, almost knocking her over. "Clear out you swine," Nikita snarled. "Unless you are out of here in thirty seconds you will be facing a the cops with me as witness." The guy took off in a hurry, the passenger door still open. Both young women, locked in a hug, laughed as the door hit the concrete gatepost and slammed shut, presumably with a huge dent in it. "Thank you darling," Cynthia sniffed. "He had me worried there for a minute." "Come on, I'll get Grahame to take us home." Jennifer Crowley came over to hang out next day. She whispered to Nikita that her brother Harris had described her as stunning. "Well I can't say I'm impressed with him. From two prime examples I've dealt with so far I figure the guys around here are cloned as yokels. Nikita also felt guilty about her behavior. She was supposed to be reforming but had found how easy to regress to come near to be crawling alongside the gutter again." Damn. "Well just because Harris and Grahame are pals it doesn't mean they are at the same intellectual level. They went through school together and they help each other on the farms but Harris went on to college and graduated BSc in horticultural production and marketing." Well, thought Nikita, it sounded promising for her that Harris may have educated himself beyond yokel status. He may of course have a steady girlfriend; she'd just have to remain patient. But the answer came quicker than expected. Jennifer's father was away on a shooting weekend and her mother Maria invited Valerie, Cynthia and Nikita to dinner. Harris took Nikita over some of the farm that grew vegetables for canning and explained how he'd brought eleven other growers in to form a cooperative and had built a canning plant with cooperative money and they were selling everything under their brand name they could produce and at good money. Obviously Harris had business strength but when they toured the canning plant that was not working because it was a seasonal operation, Nikita could see what Jennifer had hinted about that Harris required management assistance. The place was dirty, not her idea as a consumer of what a food operation should look like even out-of-season. She saw broken or cracked windows and spider webs in the corners and paint was peeling. No doubt it would be cleaned up before the plant resumed operation and possibly survive inspection by the food authority but it was evidence of poor management. They went into the tiny office and Nikita could see few signs of systems and the aged computers and filing cabinets suggested a budget operation. Some of the invoices covering a desktop had fallen on to the floor. Any idea of her moving in to assist at weekends had gone through the open window where the wind entered to blow invoices about. "Would you like a piece of this? She turned to find Harris leaning against the doorframe and stroking his exposed erection. "Put it away Harris." "Oh come on Nikita," he all but whined. "Grahame says you are one hell of a good fuck." Nikita pushed past him and began the long walk back to the house. Harris was only seconds behind her and when drawing up alongside pleaded for her to get into the vehicle to avoid him being embarrassed at the house, she said frostily, "Just tell them I decided to walk for exercise. Attempt that sick display on me again Harris and I'll denounce you to your mother and sister." He accelerated off in the pickup, covering her in dust and disappeared for the night. The women had a lovely dinner and played cards until midnight, greatly enjoying each other's company. Although the Harris incident had disappointed Nikita she regarded it as part of her learning curve. Until recently she would have dropped to her knees to suck that dick without thinking. Yes, without thinking. She'd become a slut without realizing it... but her mother had finally cracked over it. Oh god. Boredom had almost brought her down. "Thanks mom." "What was that dear?" said Valerie who was driving with Cynthia dozing beside her. "I was just thanking my mom for endeavoring to keep me on the straight and narrow. Harris tried to made a pass at me over at the plant and I turned him aside." "Ah, so that's why he disappeared. Maria was surprised as he'd said he'd have dinner before going out." "Well I hope he found a fence post to hump." Valerie suppressed her giggling to avoid waking her daughter. "Darling all men around her including married ones have this notion they only have to pull down their zip and the woman in front of them will open her legs." "It's horrid." "Oh don't be too hasty about that. It does mean a woman has opportunity to try a variety of men." Nikita couldn't help laughing and Valerie joined in. That awoke Cynthia who rubbed her eyes and said, "Those laughs. Are you guys talking sex?" "We were discussing how much wine we drank," Nikita ad-libbed. "Heaps," hiccupped Cynthia. "I saw all the empty bottles on the kitchen bench. Did Harris nail you over at the plant? Mom and I reckon he's a good fuck." "Nah, I'm not sure country boys are for me. But I'm having a great weekend." On the drive back to the city Cynthia said, "You have become very close with Jane. I suppose she's told you Jennifer and I often sleep together?" "You mean for sex?" "Yes." "No, and I had no idea." "Do you disapprove?" "No, of course not." "Will you join us occasionally?" "That's a lovely offer Cynthia but I'm attempting to re-establish myself morally and that means the end to casual sex but when guys like Grahame give me the look I have found I'm still not in control yet. It was a lovely offer..." "That's fine. You told us about your parents tossing you out of their home and I can understand you want your mother back." "Thanks Cynthia; that was a very sensitive comment." "Well if you get lonely and change your mind just let me know, Jennifer asked me to have a quiet word with you." "Well I'd appreciate you not telling Jennifer and the others about that part of my background. Also I suggest you think twice about bringing anyone else into what you have going with Jennifer because it may result in an outcome that could dismay you." "Ah yes and thanks for that. I had wondered about it myself. Perhaps Jennifer is tiring of me?" "Perhaps she is becoming bored. Why not go away with her for a weekend and buy a few toys." "That's a great idea,: Cynthia said, looking excited. "She's hinted a couple of times about buying a strap-on." "Well there you go. I'd keep that locked away. If Agnes finds it she might ask you to leave." Cynthia laughed. "I don't think so. She's shown me her arsenal. She and a younger friend have been having it off for years." Nikita grinned and wondered if all the women around her were sexpots. "Has Jane mentioned her oldest brother Mason works here in the city? He has a business that has run into problems, rather serious problems I understand and his wife is divorcing him." "No she hasn't and a brother with business problems is not something a sister would want to discuss. Anyway add divorce and places him into the category of a no-no." "Yeah, quite right. Well when you go to the ranch you'll probably meet all five brothers as they are very family oriented. Only two work the ranch with their father." Back at the rooming house Nikita had just began unpacking her bags when there was a knock and Jane came in and gave her a kiss and a smothering hug. Oh no, she thought, but then Jane stepped away and smiled, "I've spent the whole weekend eating, having sex, sleeping and having sex." "Lucky girl." "It's Max." "Of course it is. Just don't give it to him too much and he'll fall for you. Instead of concentrating on fucking him concentrate on doing interesting things with him and engage with him with other couples." "You mean deny him sex?" "Oh god no, just ration it but be careful how you go about that. Let him believe that too much makes you sore inside and suggest he masturbates while you watch. Also think of ways to divert him. And when you walk arm in arm push his hand off your tit and say gently and smiling that you regard that as inappropriate behavior in public." "Oh no, that would drive him away." "Well please yourself." "No, no. I'll listen. You appear to have more sense about this than I do." "Well then, I'll tell you it straight. Give it to him on demand and in the back of his mind he'll think of you as a whore and most men won't marry a whore-like woman because they know their mother and grandmothers won't approve. The woman they feel obliged to marry will be Miss Nice." "I'm still worried. He's on to me, thanks to your help, to receive a good fuck. That's all he sees in me." "In that case dump him." "What! No, you can't mean that?" "If you think he cannot become interested in you as a person, thinking beyond you as a fucking machine, then it's a doomed relationship." "Doomed?" "Yes, what is left between your two when the initial ardor dies?" "Oh yes, I see. No ardor and no sex means goodbye Jane." "Actually that occurs well before total death of passion. Jane you have to believe in this: make yourself interesting to Max and he'll become interested in you. Read up about cars and learn about how the business he's in operates. As soon as you read or hear about a new model Jeep or model recalls or anything like that tell him. He mightn't say it but he'll know you are taking his interests to heart. No way must you give him the impression you are only interested in him for the sex, and absolutely no way must you hint prematurely that you are interested in marrying him." "But that's in the back of my mind." "And that's where it must stay." "Oh god this is becoming so complicated." "Well just think through what I've said. The main thing is if you allow him to fuck you every time he sees you, think of the consequences." "Perhaps I could show the interesting side to my personality?" "You are attempting to wriggle out of adopting a strategy aimed at meeting both sexual and social needs Jane. We'll talk more about it later but I don't want to overload you or encourage you to become bossy to him about it. As your guiding light just think you want to be the gal he'd want to take home to meet his mom." "I don't even know if his parents are alive." "Oh Jane, you must think beyond fucking and develop an interest in him and hope he'll become aware of it. Just don't panic and don't push too hard." "Think of my guiding light." "That's the girl Jane," Nikita laughed. "Now fuck off and allow me to finish unpacking and get ready for dinner. It's lovely seeing you again and you are perhaps on the threshold of getting what you want if it's managed properly." * * * During her lunch break on Tuesday Nikita took possession of her Jeep and that evening took her rooming friends for a drive. After inspecting the vehicle with Max he said, "Is it all I said it was?" "Yes and I'm totally satisfied." "Please enough to come out on a date with me." "Oh I'm sorry Max, Jane is quickly becoming my best friend and she is so totally smitten with you." He grinned. "I fuck good." "Max, that's a disgusting thing to say to me," Nikita said. "I imagine Jane will be great for your career." "What?" "How old are you Max?" "Thirty-three." "Can't you imagine you boss's wife saying to her husband. 'That Max ought to be married and settled down. It's not a good look for the business with him attempting to seduce any good-looking woman who steps on to our premises.' And how would your boss reply?" "I don't know. Do you think she'd say that about me?" Abandoning Delinquency "Who really knows apart from her? Jane is good-looking with a solid commercial background and is charge with our accounts receivable section. What do you know about Jane's interests Max?" "I... well, you know how it is?" "Oh no, you're not one of these dimwits who think you satisfy a woman simply by fucking her every time you see her are you Max?" "Who me? Of course not; a guy in this type of business has to have class." "Please Max, don't turn Jane into a slut. My friend is one of those young women who are becoming rare these days that a guy can feel comfortable being seen with. If I were a guy I'd certainly feel comfortable about taking Jane home for a meal with my folk. I bet some of those sluts you go with you could never take home to see your mother without risk of your mom wringing your neck." "Well yes, my mom does have high standards." "I wonder why Max?" "Uh? Oh she had standards and that's why dad picked her." "Oh Max, my apologies. Here was I thinking your were a dumb-ass salesman without brains. I'm so ashamed of myself." "No it's cool Nikita. I'm pleased Jane is pals with a fine looking woman like you with brains." "Why thank you Max and you are so lucky having my friend Jane. May I suggest you take her to the museum? They have a lovely café there and serve wine but I don't know about beer." "Museum?" "Yes Max. It's one of Jane's cultural interests. And then on another occasion you could take her to the Veteran Vehicles Museum. You are aware she has a keen interest in vehicles?" "Who Jane?" "Yes Max. She drives a Jeep as do three other of our friends at the rooming house she brought to you as buyers. Oh and plus me. Well I must be off. Give me a kiss Max, as a friend and no tongue. Dear Max, I suggest you don't tell Jane I had this wee conversation with you. It's best if you show a wider interest in her and don't attribute that to me. I'm picking she'll be very impressed." "Yes sure. Call me if you have any concerns about this fine vehicle." * * * Jane and Nikita drove to the ranch in the Compass. "Max was disappointed I'm away with you this weekend. He intended taking me to the museum and having late lunch after looking around." "Oh what a shame." "He staggered me. I didn't know he was interested in museums." "Oh surprise, surprise. Are you?" "I suppose so." "Well Jane, I suggest you act rather more enthusiastic when Max takes you to the museum. You must share his interests but don't mention your surprise he is interested in museum. His mom probably introduced him to culture and like you he would have visited a museum as part of studies at high school." "A touring ballet company is due here next month." "What is the feature presentation?" "Swan Lake." "Darling, I suggest don't. That might be a bit of a cultural overload for Max at this point. Perhaps you might suggest traveling to watch car-racing." "Oh no, that's so boring, I'd... oh yes, I could look at what the other bored women are wearing." Sarah Wakefield came out and hugged and kissed them both. "I'm so delighted to meet you. Jane when she calls goes on and on about you." "We have become very friendly." "Jane says you gave a car salesman a prod and he's now taking a real interest in her. But I ask, a car salesman?" "He's the pre-owned sales manager Mrs Wakefield and it's a huge dealership and will have a multi-million dollar turnover. Jane and I are confident Max is on a strong career path." "Jane, you didn't mention that?" "Well I suppose its because Nikita has this confidence about people I don't possess, but some of her is rubbing off on to me." "Well praise be. Nikita please call me Sarah. Come in and meet the men. They are watching football so will be riveted on the game." "Perhaps if I lifted my hem?" "Er Nikita." "It's a joke mom. I did warn you that Nikita was rather lively." The football had paused for a break so the guys and their father stood and all gazed appreciatively at the newcomer. "Wow, you're tall," said the shortish brother. "So you're Jane's boss." Nikita looked at the tall, dark and handsome oldest brother and her heart fluttered as she thought tall, dark and handsome. "In a manner of speaking. It's true I supervisor the work of Jane's department but my boss, the office manager, is their boss." "Most women would have confirmed they were Jane's boss." "Oh really? Good for them. What's the game score?" "Are you an expert in football?" "No, but I have some knowledge. You guys are interested so I displayed an interest. It's called social interaction but if that bothers you I'll..." "No it's fine. Most women..." Nikita snapped, "Mason, what is this most women gambit? For Christ sake, do you have a problem with women?" The men gaped and looked at their mom. "Nikita dear, we are a religious family. I kindly ask you not to use such language in this house." "I apologize unreservedly Sarah. My friend here didn't warn me." "Well she and Mason are the two nonbelievers. I should also point out Mason's wife is divorcing him." "Well I knew that but saw no reason to pussyfoot. If it were a good marriage she'd not be divorcing him and he'll know that. Perhaps it's best I leave." "Nikita, you are Jane's friend and because of that are welcome in my house." "It's fine mom." Mason said. "Come on Nikita, I'll show you around some of the ranch. Can you ride a horse?" "Yes Mason." "Jane you come too." "No, you two go alone. My thinking is you and Nikita will have more in common than either of your realize." The other brothers grinned and punched each other. Their father said, "Shut up you lot; the game is about to restart." "Afraid of riding on a motor-cycle?" "Afraid no, but apprehensive." "Good reply. You're sassy." "And you are broody. Get a life Mason; it's the only one you'll have." He grinned and said, "I can see why Jane likes you." "I have balls." He was mounting the bike and almost fell off he was laughing so much. "Either hang on to me or put your hands behind you and grab the rounded bar behind your seat." "Is it safe to place my hands around you?" He dropped the clutch and they took off. Nikita shrieked and slammed her arms around him. There were a dozen horses in the pasture next to the barn. Mason gave Nikita her pick. She chose a bay quarter horse and Mason nodded. "You know your horse flesh." "Your horse?" "I don't work the ranch so have lost my rights. That's dad's top mount. She has stamina and is our fastest horse." "We won't be racing will we? I'm out of riding practice. My uncle has a horse ranch." "Nothing more than a lope then." "Thank you." * * * As everyone began sitting down for lunch Rex took his place on the right of Mason, Nikita, coming in with a plate of meat heard Mason say, "Nikita sits there." Rex said "Says who?" and Mason pushed his chair back and stood facing Rex. "Rex back off and sit somewhere else," Nikita said calmly. "I'm telling you there's no gain in fighting over a woman. You hit Mason and you'll answer to me." "Oh I say. I'm not risking having my block knocked off by a woman. Please take my seat Nikita." "That is very chivalrous of you Rex. I'd kiss you but you haven't shaved." Everyone laughed, including Sarah and Jane who were standing behind Nikita. Second oldest brother Rex sported a couple of inches of beard. The conversation had petered out and then Nikita said, "Mr Wakefield, with six children you must have been a lively guy in your younger day?" Silence reigned. Then Mr Wakefield laughed and said, "It was so far back that I'd forgotten about sex until I saw you arriving three hours ago." Everyone broke up laughing and some close to the wind comment followed. "Oh what is happening to my household," Sarah, still very pink, laughed. "Call me Edgar young lady and tell us what made you leave your home town?" "Thank you Edgar but if I tell you how it was I'd not be welcome in this lovely home again." "I can't see that happening Nikita," he said. "Although Sarah is devoutly religious and sets the tone for us all she is not a bigot and neither are we. We are a friendly and tolerant lot." "Don't be afraid Nikita," Jane said. "You'll not be judged. I'm interested to hear the full story." Nikita told them how it was, holding nothing back. When she'd finished Rex said in awe, "Coming home at 8:00 in the morning, drunk and covered in signs of sex. If that had been me our mom would have put me down the old well shaft for a couple of days. In effect you mother has done that." "That is very perceptive Rex. I'd like you guys to know that not only have I recanted but I've remedied what I consider was my only true weakness; that until that day I left home I had failed to be totally responsible for my own actions. I had been acting as if behaving badly was okay. My biggest surprise that humiliating my parents and they humiliating me habr been dealt with but my spirit remains intact. I'm very surprised I did not lose my liveliness." "Mason I hope you were listening to that last comment," his mother said softly. Mason pushed his chair back but couldn't stand properly because Nikita had turned and taken hold of him with both hands. "Stay here," she said. "It's time to take a stand." "Leave me." "No, stop running." Mason hit out, catching Nikita across the right cheek. The hit was so powerful she fell sideways on to the table, stunned. "Oh god, Nikita. Oh god, what have I done?" People began moving but Sarah said firmly, "Stay where you are everyone. This is Mason's mess to deal with." "I'll make an ice pack," Jane said, running off. Mason gathered in Nikita, who was now crying, and carried her off to the family room. "I said everyone stay sitting," Sarah said. "Jane take the ice pack to Mason and return here unless Nikita wants you to stay." Jane returned to the table. "She says she's okay. They're talking. He told her a madness had taken over him but she says it was just a cry for help. She's telling him she knows the hurt and despair he's feeling, and from what she'd just told us I reckon there's some truth in that." The family talked quietly and ten minutes later Nikita and Mason returned to the dining room, not touching. "I'm sorry everyone. I should not have interfered," she said. "I feel Mason has been waiting to hit out and he's finally had that release. He's very uncomfortable about this but I've persuaded him to stop apologizing, that the time has come for him to rebuild." "I accept what Nikita says," Mason said. "I need time to think so am going to my old room over the barn. I'll return for breakfast. I apologize to all of you." "Thank you Mason," Nikita said, holding the ice pack to her face. "It's only a bruise and will bruise deeply I'm picking. I'll lie and tell everyone I fell off a horse." Mason turned and left and Sarah rushed off and returned with arnica cream that she began gently rubbing into the welt on Nikita's face. Nikita slept most of the afternoon and after dinner she felt well enough to help Sarah with the dishes. Jane joined the rest of the family watching a game show on TV. Hanging up the tea-towels to dry Sarah said, "There's a flask of coffee and a flask of soup and some meat sandwiches in that basket. Take it too him. If you choose to stay the night with him I won't mind. Before the incident I'd noticed the way you had been glancing at him. It's something one can't hide from a mother. If you don't want to do it I'll take the basket and stay and talk to him. He'll be at a very deep low and in need of counseling." "That's lovely and very understanding of you Sarah. Whether I return soon or in the morning will depend on Mason. My pick is don't expect me back till breakfast time." They hugged and wiping her eyes Sarah said, "I strongly believe you have made the breakthrough Nikita. My prayers go with you." Over at the barn Mason greeted her in embarrassment but that soon dissipated as he wolfed down the soup and sandwiches. Nikita had coffee with him and they talked. Eventually she rose to leave and he pleaded, "Don't go." "Thank you. I'll stay." Later she turned as he undressed and got into bed. She returned from the bathroom in the nude and switched off the light. Mason was facing the wall so Nikita snuggled in against him. He reached over for her hand and drew it over his chest and continued holding it when their hands reached the mattress. That's how they went to sleep. They awoke at daylight. Although her face was very sore Nikita was prepared to have sex but there was no demand, not even a hint from Mason so she went off and showered. He showered after her and they sat and talked like friends until his mother rang the steel triangle, the call to breakfast. Mason left after breakfast, saying he had a life to sort out. During a long walk with Nikita from mid-morning Jane asked, "Did you two have sex?" "No. I think he was too low to be interested." "Did you arrange to meet again?" "No." "Do you want that to happen?" "Yes." "Leave that to me." * * * Two days later a huge bouquet of flowers arrived at the office for Nikita, the only word on the card was 'Sorry'. She got Mason's cell phone number from Jane and called. "Top Flight Apartment Renovations. Mason speaking." "Hi, thanks for the flowers. They are beautiful." "Great, I didn't call because I didn't know if you would wish to speak to me." "That's silly, of course I do." "How's that beautiful face?" "Oooh." He laughed and she said she was carrying a hideous bruise but she'd expected that. "I want you to go to the South Lake Health Spa out of Silverdale this weekend. The woman in charge promises they have restorative therapies that will help you. She can fit you in the last session at 8:00 on Friday night." "Okay, I'll go if you come with me and join me in some of the therapies. It will be good for your soul." "No way, that's women's stuff." "Well count me out." There was a long pause and then, "Just a minute I'll call her back to see if they can do another room. She said one was available." "Mason I'll only go if we share a double room. I've already slept with you." "That was different." "How is it different; we didn't have to have sex?" "W-e-l-l okay." "A queen or king size bed. If there are two beds I'm not interested in going." Sounding much calmer Mason told Nikita to hold on, he'd call the spa on another phone. He returned to her link. "Yes that's all on. You are booked in for your half-hour first treatment at 6:30 and we then go to dinner at 8:00." "That's fine. Take my email address. You can send me details and their email address. I'd like to study what's on offer. Being a health retreat are we allowed to drink alcohol?" "Yes, I checked on that. The attitude is we are adults and ought to be capable of being responsible for our bad heath decisions." "Oooh." He laughed. "We'll need to be away by 3:00 to get there in time. Can you manage that?" "Yes. Bye Mason. I can tell by the sound of your voice that you are okay. The flowers are gorgeous." CHAPTER 3 Nikita was waiting outside her office as Mason drove up just before 3:00. He jumped out to help with her bags, saw her bruised face as said, "Oh Christ." "It's okay, very little pain and I think the edge bruising is fading although the center has darkened. I have no make-up on believing the spa therapists would prefer that." "Good thinking. Oh Nikita," Mason said, grasping her elbows. "I still can't believe I hurt you like that. You saying I hit out when you provoked me is no excuse." She smiled and said softly, " Will you shut up and kiss me." Nikita was kissed softly and beautiful and as it finished she murmured, "Oh my." The spa resort retreat lay nestled among trees on the edge of a mountain lake with just a band of grass the width of the two-level main building leading to the lake edge. "It's beautiful, I'm relaxing all ready," Nikita said as they drove towards the portico. They both admired their suite and because of the angle of the building they didn't view the lakefront full on but the side view was satisfactory. They stood at the side window looking at the lake, an arm around each other. The most elementary question of a new couple coming together was dealt with early when Mason said, "Take whichever side of the bed you prefer." "You are right-handed; so I'll take the left side," she giggled, and Mason said okay and stared at her thoughtfully. Displaying only a whisker of embarrassment, Nikita undressed in front of him and put on a bikini and a hotel gown. When she was midway through Mason had said, his voice sounding husky, "You have an amazing body Nikita." "Why thank you good sir; would you like to touch?" Mason looked at his watch and said damn, it was almost time for her appointment. He poured her a cold drink and then she was off. Sprawled on the bed wearing only his boxers, Mason was dimly aware of Nikita returning, hearing the door lock click. The next thing he knew she had straddled him, wearing only the gown that was wide open. She'd bent over and breathing into his ear and drawled "Hello sleepy." Mason could feel his cock stiffen to push against her groin. "Oooh, what is that I feel?" "Mr Wolf's cock attempting to visit Snow White." "You mean Little Red Riding Hood?" "Do I?" She giggled and cupping her tits waggled them at him. "Lift up and I'll pull my boxers down." She obeyed. "Now guide it in." Nikita played coy. "I might want heaps of foreplay." "Well you're not getting any. That sexy therapist would have gotten you juicy." "You're right. I think I'd only needed to hint and she... well, I'll leave it to your imagination. What you had ordered for me I got: a deep cleansing facial including steam, mask and massage and then she applied some Vitamin K 8% serum to my facial bruise and suggested I apply it every eight hours and stop taking the arnica cream. Other than that she warned me not to get overheated when having any other treatments. I asked about resuming alcohol and she said in moderation and to remember that most of the progress would come through natural heading and that would occur slowly." Mason concealed his impatience. "An excellent report." She lifted up to look and said, "Oooh you are well-hung." "I could say the same thing," he said, reaching for her breasts as Nikita, tongue tip hanging out one side of her mouth, worked him into her channel where he, by design for human reproduction, was meant to be. They took it slowly until their groins were pressed together. "You have a lovely cunt; at least it feels lovely. Like velvet." "Thank you. The head of your cock sent tiny shivers to my very center." He chuckled. "Center of what?" "I really don't know. Can we get on with it?" The banged away until their moans were huge, their faces were drawn and they were covered in sweat. "I'm nearing exhaustion." He said he was flagging too and sucking a finger pushed it into her asshole. "Ohmigod," she cried, convulsing and streaming girl's cum. At that she involuntarily squeezed him and he bellowed and ejaculated into her depths. They cleaned up and slept until receiving the house call that they were due in the restaurant in fifteen minutes. Nikita and Mason were seated at a table for four alongside another couple about their ages also at a table for four. The neatly-dressed slim guy with the buxom woman said, "You guys are welcomed to join us; we haven't ordered yet." "I'd love to do that," Nikita said but it depends on Mason." "Yes of course, that's a kind invitation." Abandoning Delinquency "Mason eh? I'm Nathan and my wife is Bobbi." "Oh hi Bobbi, I'm Nikita." "Come and sit beside me Nikita," Nathan said. "It will be lovely having company." Walking back to the Barrett's suite Nikita whispered, "What if they want to swap partners." "You've taken a liking to Bobbi have you?" Nikita smothered a laugh. "No you fool." "Let's see how it goes," Mason said. "I've only ever done it once before. What about you?" "Several times, but only when I was at college," Nikita lied. "However the truth is tonight I don't want to do it with anyone but you." No suggestions were made about the possibility of a foursome. The two couples just talked and drank coffee. They agreed to go out on the lake cruise tomorrow mid morning and Nathan called and made the booking. When Nikita and Mason left the two women kissed and Bobbi whispered, "You have lovely breasts" and Nikita simply said thank you and added she was looking forward to the lake cruise. Mason gave Nikita a long, deep and slow fuck that had her almost climbing the ceiling at stages. She decided it was the most erotic fuck she'd ever had and told him when they were resting. "You are a woman worth fucking and I took the trouble and found the patience to give it to you slowly, hoping it would keep you dancing along." "It did. You were so masterful." On the drive home Nikita said very gently, "According to Jane you are not only amid a divorce but your business has taken a bit of a dip." "More than a dip. My wife had attended to admin and the temp I have engage is nowhere as good." "When may I come an look over your operation?" "Tomorrow after you finish work. Jane offered to ask you to do that but I said no, I wanted you to offer. I knew I would feel more relaxed if it happened that way. I had no wish to impose." "It won't be an imposition. I'll regard it as a challenge." "You have a lovely way about you Nikita," he said, stroking a hand along her thigh before placing that hand back on the wheel. Nikita could scarcely believe what she'd just heard. He admired her! God, that was almost as good as being fucked by him. * * * Alas or perhaps hooray, some of the old Nikita remained. When she arrived at Mason' dingy office late next afternoon she kissed him, locked his office door and climbed up on to his office desk and said, "Fuck me, I'm not wearing panties." That appeared to unleash something within Mason. A grin replaced his I-feel-so-sorry-for-myself expression. He pulled out his stiffening cock, slapped his girlfriend's ass and squeezed a tit. By then he was ready to yodel and wallow. But the phone went. "I'm down to two calls a day so better take it." "Okay." He picked up the phone, listened and snapped, "I'm busy, call me tomorrow." Nikita was horrified. "Is that how you treat prospective clients?" "Not at all. That was the woman who's divorcing me." Nikita's body wobbled into a giggle and then she tensed and then quickly relaxed as she felt a length of hard cock slip into her pussy. "What about foreplay," she laughed. "Your pussy was too inviting. No time to be wasting around on tit-kissing and we can tongue as we fuck." "Damn right." A mutually very satisfactory session ended without any sign of awkwardness that often confronts new couples. Mason said in tribute, returning with a towel, he couldn't believe he'd found a woman who really liked to fuck. "Where have you been spending you life... at Sunday school?" Nikita joked. Returning from the bathroom she said, "Okay, let's get on with it." "I need more rest." Nikita said, "No you fool, I mean explain what you do here, how you do it and then open up your financial accounts on-screen." She then saw his stupid grin and knew she'd just had her leg pulled. "You know, there may be some hope for you," she said, patting the side of Mason's face gently. At 9:30, half an hour after they'd finished eating take-outs fetched by Mason, Nikita sighed and sat back and rubbed her eyes. "Finished?" She nodded. "As far as I need to go." He grinned nervously. "Right, give me the good news first." "Er, this is an enterprising business operation." "Aw, come on, you can do better than that." He looked at her and she saw the word "Damn" form but not pas his lips. Well it could have been the explicative 'Fuck'. Mason drew back his shoulders and rubbed his chin. "I was aware I'm going through a bad patch." "Mason, it's much worse than that. You are marching unchecked into insolvency." "Jesus." "This business is a mess. Marketing to secure new business is non-existent, all your work is done expensively by engaging outside contractors instead of just resorting to them when your people are overloaded. You have no business plan, no one in the office to handle people calling in or phoning, you have a pile of invoices in that basket probably a fortnight or more old..." "More like six weeks which was when my wife left... oh I attended to them for the first few days after she left." "Ohmigod. Exactly what are you good at doing Mason?" "Fucking?" "Mason!" "Um I understand construction, working for a builder for two years after leaving high school and I then worked installing windows for six months, went to Europe on a working holiday for a year working on building projects and worked back here on interior decorating for three years before going out on my own and starting this business, acting as the middle man between clients and contractors and accepting responsibility for supervision including quality control." "I see." "What do you see?" "A fucking mess. At best it always was going to be a business with small profitability and those profits would be eroded by stuff-ups for which you had to accept responsibility. In all probability you had supervisors behind your subcontractors who were cracking the whip on their guys telling them to go fast and take shortcuts." "Well yeah, often we did have problems and disputes, some disputes ending expensively when attorneys were called in." "I bet." Mason dropped his head. "So I shut the doors and walk away?" "That's an option. Then what would you do?" "Go back and work on the farm I suppose but if dad took me in on full salary that could damage his business. What are your thoughts?" "Well dress up this business a bit with some organizing. I could work on your accounts at evenings and draw up a marketing plan for you to implement. At that point you could try to sell, perhaps to a competitor or to some naïve guy like you were." "Hmmm." "Alternatively you could grow the business quickly if you can find capital and with a strong marketing plan get profits flowing." "Oh yeah." "Yeah. So can you find capital?" "Granddad was interested when I set up." "How much did he offer?" "One hundred grand." "Christ. Could you get him up to two hundred?" "I think so. He's a director of several companies so I'd have to be very convincing and present documentation." "Like a strategic plan and business plan?" "Yeah I think so." "Well I'd think so." Nikita told Mason to take her home. She had some thinking to do and would reveal her plan tomorrow over a restaurant dinner. She asked for the name of his attorney. "Why?" "Because I wish to talk to him that's why." "It's Sally Wright." "Oh, and you went to school with her?" Nikita said sarcastically. "Yeah, and she happens to be the best family law attorney in the city so I count myself very lucky." "Ah, that means she also will be very familiar with business law as well. That was an excellent choice Mason. Give me her phone number." "You're bossy." Nikita yawned. "I dealt with a crisis at work, I've been heavily fucked and worked on your problem here. It's been a long and tiring day for me." "Oh baby, how stupid of me to call you bossy. You'll be almost out on your feet. Come we'll drop in somewhere for a decent coffee and I'll take you home. You know you ought to be living with me, now that it's established we both really like to fuck." "Good idea but won't you loose the house in the divorce carve up?" "No we lost our house four years ago to the bank. I used half the net proceeds to pay off debtors and my wife took the other half and invested it her boyfriend's business but that went belly up." "Boyfriend, did you knew he existed." "No, not until she said she wanted to divorce me because her boyfriend was going away to make a new start and she wished to join him." "Fuck what a mess." "Yeah, I seem to be destined to wallow." "No, you are okay. You just need good management beside you and probably in your personal life as well. But we'll talk about that tomorrow night." "Are you thinking about living with me?" Nikita patted Mason' cheek. "Sweetie I say we'd talk tomorrow evening." Next day Nikita called Sally Wright, Mason's attorney. "Hi I'm Nikita Jones and..." "Hi Nikita. Mason called. When do you wish to drop by?" "Can you give me a freebie, a half-hour over lunch? I'll pay for lunch." "Okay, he's a nice guy and I don't like seeing this happening to him." Although Sally was suspicious when they met Nikita had the feeling they both accepted they were both on the same team. After their wine was poured Nikita said, "I won't beat around the bush Sally. I want to dress up the business so that Mason can be confident enough to invite his grandfather to lend Mason 200 grand to launch the business into expansion, based on the plan I'll draw up for Mason. If the money comes in I'll resign my job and take the role of marketing and promotional manager. Well have to take some risks and tender low initially to knock out a couple of competitors. I know that you'll think the risks are unacceptable but..." "Actually what I think is this is the only way it will work, but the chances are slim unless you work your butt off with great inspiration. I called Mason's sister Jane for some background on you. She told me you have a certificate as a Master in Business Administration hanging on your bedroom wall. I took the liberty to call your professor and she said you have a brilliant brain but were having trouble growing up. She said you were disrespectful, petulant and an over-sexed bitch." "Yeah, glad you got Dr Campbell. Unlike some of the others she actually liked me." "Nikita, what Dr Campbell said about you being brilliant was negated by the downside." "Well Sally let's talk about you and your two kids. It appears business is off the table." "I didn't suggest I have made my mind up about you. Jane said since you were thrown out of your home and arrived here you have stabilized and have come along in leaps and bounds but also said you'd always be a bit of a rebel because that's just you." "Well Jane would know to give me a big boost wouldn't she and you knew to expect that?" "As it happens Jane baby-sits for me when I'm in a tight spot with regular sitters not being available. I asked for the truth about you and she knows me well enough to deliver as instructed." "Well I always knew she was a great friend. You may as well know I'm about to move in with Mason." "Well, well. Mason will respond to your liveliness and I expect you'll take aboard a little of his conservatism. You must understand these days contractors in the building industry one can trust are outnumbered by the cowboys." "Exactly and that's what will drive our marketing program although not based on the simple plea 'in us you can trust'. If we put up a great marketing plan that convinces you will you lend you old pal fifty grand?" "I'll think about it." "Well if you put up fify grand I'll match it." "Are you saying you have fifty grand? With no business background you won't get a bank loan in these financially depressed times." "Yes I have fifty grand, untouched. I was generously paid to leave home and buy into my future prudently when I felt ready." Sally shook her head in admiration. "You have me won over. You appear to be what you indicate you are Nikita. Now you asked politely about Dave and my kids. Well..." Nikita went back to her office greatly encouraged. Late afternoon she visited Mason's accountant and won Rex Bank's agreement to work on the business plan with them and to delay payment of the fees due to him for twelve months from the day he began that work, with no interest payable. "I can't believe I agreed to deferred payment of fees Nikita. I'll have some explaining to do to my partners but I think I know why I did it. Already I believe in you. As you suggested when making this appointment I called Sally Wright and she said you impressed her no end and although your business experience is limited you hold a master's in bus admin. Impress me with the business plan and my partners and I may feel confident enough to find some seeding finance for you, interest payable of course." "Of course. You wife's name is Heather isn't it?" "Yes did Sally tell you that?" "No one of the girl's I room with, Jane Wakefield, is your wife's niece. Jane told me to say hi and if you want to know the truth about me to give her a call." "Why didn't you say that at the outset. Jane wouldn't make that offer if she didn't respect you." "I didn't wish to unduly influence you before making my pitch for deferred payment of fees Rex. I need to show I'm ethical and can be trusted as we get further down the track with this expansion scheme." Rex stared after Jane as she left. The partnership currently had almost a million bucks of client's money waiting in the investment fund for a promising new venture. If the business plan looked solid and Mason and Nikita came in and impressed the partners their operation might well end up with $300,000 to $500,000 of that investment money, But the business growth plan would have to be totally impressive in every way. * * * Three months later Nikita had resigned from her job and joined Top Flight New Apartment Fit-outs & Apartment Renovations as chief executive. Mason was company chairman and director of operations. They went to meet Rex and his three partners who'd already received the company's strategic plan and business plan to study/ After the introductions Rex invited Mason to speak. "Well guys my business partner Nikita and I are here to attempt to convince you guys to invest half a million bucks in our company. That capital will allow us to acquire Samuel J. Hollis Apartment Refurbishments Ltd, and taking over three contracts likely to provide $143,000 net profit to us all going well according to Nikita's calculations, the last of that money due in within three months. The company has four more contracts it has yet to start and my assessment indicates each one of those will be profitable. We will also hire Hollis' two foremen and five plasterers, three carpenters and two support guys and we are in the process of extending that workforce to carry out the seven contracts we have won in the last five weeks, working starting on three of those this next Monday. That takes care of the latest developments. You have our plans and financials to hand." Three hours later and finishing with a couple of drinks with the partners, Mason and Nikita walked out with the undertaking that $500,000 would be placed in the company's bank account within the next twelve hours. "We eat out tonight," Mason said, taking Nikita's arm. "Thanks to you we are the largest apartment fit-out and renovators in the city, and have got their with a remarkably miniscule investment. You had the Hollis brothers backed up so hard against the door when negotiating with them they must have felt the door handle up their asses." "Well they had to be shown the only way out was us or face the bank and their other creditors. They knew they were ready to retire anyway and fortunately had money in a private pension fund that the bank had its eyes on. This way they achieved a sale they hadn't managed to achieve until we came along and their pensions remain intact." "You were brilliant Nikita." "Yes, I suppose I was, but remember Rex and Sally were of enormous help to me. We must take them out with their spouses, perhaps this Saturday night." "I agree. Organize it please." "Yes Mr Chairman." CHAPTER? Janis Jones almost had a nervous breakdown after she'd thrown Nikita from the house. Claude had reassured her he'd been party to the decision and in not saying 'reluctantly' had eased some of Janis's despair. The psychologist Claude began taking his wife to twice a week said Janis had little option but to hurl Nikita into the real world to bring her to her senses also assisted Janis to hold on to avoid being admitted to a health care facility. However the psychologist remained concerned that although Janis had improved, she still had some way to go for a full recovery. But that all changed when a woman called and asked to speak to Janis. "Hello, Janis Jones speaking." "Mrs Jones you won't know me but I'm Mrs Wakefield currently visiting my sister in Chicago and a dear girl has asked me to call you. Your daughter Nikita, my daughter Jane's best friend, wishes me to tell you she is well and doing very well." "Ohmigod, let me speak to Nikita." "I am sorry but she is back home. Nikita has stayed at my home several times. She asked me to call you from Chicago because she doesn't want you to know where she is living. She is very happy. That is all I can say. Please Mrs Jones, believe me. She is doing well. She confided to us what her behavioral problem was. Goodbye Mrs Jones." "No wait." "I must go. Goodbye." The woman being paid to keep watch on Janis held her while she howled for about ten minutes. Then Janis said, "Nancy please run a bath for me." "Pardon me." "That phone call was a Mrs Wakefield calling me on instructions from my daughter to say she is okay and doing very well." "Oh Mrs Jones. How wonderful." Claude arrived home to hear the kitchen radio going and his wife dressed and singing while she cooked. "Good god, what are you doing?" "Oh hi Claude darling. You know I always bake a cake when I'm extra happy. Well I'm baking three cakes." Clause looked alarmed. "Don't worry dear; my depression has lifted. A Mrs Wakefield visiting her sister in Chicago phoned me to say Nikita had asked her to phone and to say she was happy and doing well." "What?" "It's true Mr Jones," Nancy said. "I heard Mrs Jones's side of the conversation. She asked the woman to tell her more but apparently the woman refused." "That is quite correct Nancy. Claude our daughter wants us to know she is alive and well and is living somewhere but obviously not in Chicago and the little bitch doesn't want us to find her." "Ohmigod." "That sounds like you are happy too darling. Are we going out to dinner tonight? We have something to celebrate: My crisis is over, I think, and we know our daughter is safe." * * * Four months later Janis received a call from Olive her daughter. Janis was at work in reception at the office of Claude and his partners. "Oh Mrs Jones isn't it wonderful news." "What is Olive?" "I've just come home for lunch and found an invitation for Ashley and me to attend Nikita's wedding." "What?" "Yes it's come out of the blue. She is marrying a Mason Wakefield in Kentucky next month." "Ohmigod, I must go home to find if we have an invitation." "Oh you will Mrs Jones, you are Nikita's mother." "I hope you are right Olive. Look dear, call me Janis from now on please. This formality has been going on for far too long and you are bearing my first grandchild and I'm so happy about you being such a well-behaved woman." "Thank you Janis. You know this Mason Wakefield must think Nikita is well-behaved otherwise he'd not be marrying her." Abandoning Delinquency "True darling. I'll call you from home, even if it's the biggest disappointment of my entire life." Janis called Claude who came down with a senior office assistant to work in reception because Janis's junior was at lunch. They raced home and Claude opened the front door and holding Janis's arm said gravely, "Are you prepared for bitter disappointed?" She nodded. "I believe it will be there. Nikita may have been a little bitch but never a vindictive little bitch." "I believe that too. Let me go darling." Janis darted behind the door and looked at the mail scattered on the floor and yelled, "It's here." * * * Mid afternoon Edgar Wakefield was removing his boots at the door preparing to go into the kitchen for coffee and scones baked that morning when he looked up and called, "Car coming." Sarah called who was it and he said it was someone rich, probably an insurance salesman. It was a black Mercedes saloon. A tall and lean man about Edgar's age got out and said hi in answer to a howdy. "We have come to deliver our acceptance of the wedding invitation personally." "That's fine," Edgar drawled. "Which on; it's to be a double wedding." "Our daughter Nikita's wedding to your son Mason." Without blinking Edgar called, "Woman you better get out here and handle this." Sarah came out wiping her hands on a tea towel. "Good afternoon, I'm Sarah Wakefield." "Greeting's ma'am. I'm Claude Jones. In the car is my wife Janis." "Oh hi," Sarah said, and screaming "Janis!" raced around the front of the vehicle as Janis threw open her door and scrambled out. The two women hugged and then began bawling. Edgar rubbed a hand over his mouth and said, "Apparently women get happy doing that. Come in and have scones and a beer." * * * The family and visitors were on the front porch looking in the direction of the access highway. "Jesus, it's Mason's red F250," Rex said. "He must be doing a hundred to leave a dust plume that big." The big red vehicle slid to a huge weaving stop and the driver's door flew open. "Christ it was Nikita driving," Rex said in awe, once again not being rebuked by his mom for using the Lord's name blasphemously. Nikita, very red-faced, came running yelling "Mom, mom." "You have a dad too," Claude yelled laughing. The two women hurtled into each other but Nikita had two much speed on and bowled her mom into a heap in the dust. They lay giggling out of control in a hug and trying to kiss as the dust settled on them. Everyone watching was laughing because it was such a hoot. A tall, roughly handsome man with beautiful green eyes pulled both women to their feet with ease and said, "Mrs Jones I believe?" "Oh yes, oh yes. Oh what a darling you are," Janis said, blushing and puffing. "Mom this is my dear friend Jane who is Sara and Edgar's daughter." Jane, who'd arrived with Nikita and Mason, stepped forward a little shyly. "Oh darling, you too will make a most beautiful bride. We only found out an hour ago it is to be a double wedding. How wonderful. Please kiss me and call me Janis." THE END
