Summary: Jason keeps a Promise, saves a Life, and eats Pizza. –A Few Days Later— Jason wakes up and goes through his daily routine of getting ready before grabbing his school bag and Jacket and heading for the door. "I think I'm getting used to this!" Jason says as he hops down the stairs of his apartment and begins walking down the sidewalk to the bus stop. As he walks he passes a Vendor cart, with a Yellow Raptor tending to it. He stops about 50 feet away from the cart and begins to wait for the bus. Pulling his phone out and scrolling to kill time. Jason's ears perk up when he hears the sound of a gun being drawn. He looks over and sees the vendor's cart being held up by a human. "C'mon you fuckin' meteor dodger, hand it over or we'll see how tough those scales really are!" The Robber threatens as the lady begins to pile money into a bag. Jason's instincts kick in as he grabs the knife from inside his jacket and tosses it, it lands in the Robber's shoulder. "AHH! What the-!" The Robber is cut off by Jason punching him down to the ground, knocking him out cold. Jason retrieves his knife with a hard tug and leaves the man to bleed. "Shut it Skinnie… You ok?" Jason asks the vendor. "I haven't seen fighting like that in a long time… Thanks for the save, kid!" The vendor cheerily replies. "No problem, what can I say? I'm a man of Civil Duty and Community." Jason shrugs. "I like that… I oughta reward you for that kinda thinking." The vendor puts a hand on her chin. "Oh you don't have to-" Jason attempts to be humble but is cut off by the vendor perking up. "Free Hot Dogs for life for you kid. I know how you guys in Skin Row are with Money, especially since you're a student." She was right, Jason had been sort of roughing it out for a while. "Shit… Sounds like an offer I can't refuse… I'm Jason." He extends a hand. "Tracy." She shakes his hand. As they do, the bus rolls up to the stop. "That's my cue, I'll have to take you up on that offer later. See ya around Tracy!" Jason says as he dashes onto the bus. "Heh… Kids." Tracy says as she packs up the cart and begins moving to a different spot, while doing so she spits on the Robber who is still writhing on the ground. Jason hops off the bus and makes the rest of his way to the school, knowing the path like the back of his hand now. "Watch the Tree, mind the gap… There's that Cafe that looks dead…" Jason thinks aloud, making note of his environment. Jason makes it to school and heads in. –Some Time Later– The chime of the bell indicates that it's lunchtime, and almost time for that show that Naser told him about… "...Eh, I'm not one for breaking promises." Jason quips to himself, as he makes his way out of Math class with the student body he heads for lunch before being stopped by a familiar face. "Jay!" Reed shouts from the crowd before meeting up with the Spark. "Oh hey Reed, what's up?" Jason perks up to the friendly Stoner. "Not much, got the munchies before the show… gonna grab a bite before I go." Reed says as he pats his stomach. "Y'know I heard Naser got Pizza and is putting it up at the show…" Jason responds as he starts walking. "Bro… Really? Naser's a cool dude." Reed begins to walk along with Jason to the auditorium. As they get there a bunch of students are seen shuffling into the doors and collecting their free lunch. "Uh oh, better get in quick before they get it all." Jason says as he looks over to his Raptor friend, who is immediately pushing through the line. "Pizza Time." Reed quips as he grabs a few slices and piles them high on a paper plate, Jason following his lead. "So..." Jason starts, swallowing his food. "When's the show starting?" "Like… 10 minutes…" Reed says as he gulps down an entire slice. "Shouldn't you be getting geared up?" Jason responds as he takes another bite. "I can put up a whole setup in like… 3 minutes… I think we'll be fin-" Reed is interrupted by the shout of another familiar voice. "Hey!" Trish walks up to Reed, anger spread across her face. "We have 10 goddamn minutes before showtime, and you're eating Pizza with the Skinnie!?" Trish says. if looks could kill, both of them would be dead. "That's what I said!" Jason quips "Stay out of this Spear Chucker!" Trish says back "Well Ooga Booga to you too, shorty!" Trish becomes visibly furious, clenching her fists and gritting her teeth. "Struck a nerve didn't I, eh cupcake?" Jason says as he takes another bite of Pizza. Trish nearly blows a gasket at that comment before Reed puts his hand on her shoulder. "Dude… Don't worry about it… I'm just killing a bit of time with Jay here till show… You know how fast I set up, we'll be blowing ears out in no time!" And with that, Reed finishes his Pizza. "You sticking around Jay?" Reed looks over expectantly. "Oh yeah, Pizza and a Show? Sign me up!" Jason quips as he goes back for seconds. "Aight Trish… go time, where's Fang?" As Reed says that he walks off with Trish, waving to Jason as he leaves. "Damn good pie right here from…" Jason reads the box. "Dino-moe's? Bet." Jason finds a seat near the back, so he can grab pizza as he pleases. "Ok seat found, time to see how Reed's band does…" As he says that, the lights dim and spotlights illuminate the stage. The curtains open to the Trio in position. Without another word they begin to play. The song they begin on is a fast one, but it seems sloppy… and… "Is that a fucking second Bass?!" Jason shouts, attempting to even hear his own thoughts. The song is a mess, random key changes, screaming vocals that sound like a blender dying and strange phrasing, combined with both Bassists not being up to snuff make this a miserable experience. The crowd began to heckle and boo the band. They stop playing and just stare blankly… Trish is on the verge of Tears, Reed is slowly inching away from the kit, and Fang… "FUCK YOU!" Fang completely loses it. The crowd's boos turn into insults. Jason's hands are on his face, a mixture of pain, sadness and awe spread across it like an artist painting. "Jesus" Jason says to himself, trying to stifle laughter He looks over to the right and sees Naser, looking on in horror. Jason walks up to Naser and taps him on the shoulder, bringing the Gray Pterosaur back to reality. "Naser, you alright?" Jason shouts to get above the roar of the crowd. Naser looks down before walking away from the Spark, Jason takes one last look to the stage before dashing after Naser. "...I'm sorry…" Jason says, unsure of what to really say. "Y'know they sound better than usual." Naser responds. "Pfft, then what do they sound like usually?" Jason quips. "What?" Naser perks up, furrowing his brow. "Dude… They sound awful. I don't mean that as an insult, they don't sound good period. The two Basses alone should've been a sign of Death on Arrival." Jason continues, making the Pteradon even angrier. Naser looks at Jason, anger spread across his face but he can't seem to find the words. "Oh c'mon Naser, even you have to admit they're pretty fucking awful." Jason's words hit the Pteradon like a truck, but it did seem to deflate him. Jason walks over and puts a hand on his shoulder. "Listen, you've been a bro the entire time I've been here and I've just been a Dick… So let me make it up to you. I'm gonna make those guy's the best damn band I can make em!" Jason's words seemed to confuse the Pterosaur. "What?" Naser asks The scene fades.
