Here we are, the sequel to the green(e)text no one asked for that no one also asked for.
>It’s been a few weeks since I started at Volcano High.
>Once the surge of interest in me from being the “New kid” died off I quickly ended up fading into the background .
>Sure, there’s a couple staff that still pay special attention to me, but overall? I’ve managed to successfully become just another face in the crowd.
>And it feels absolutely amazing.
>I even managed to satisfy my mom by telling her that I’ve made a friend.
>Of course neglecting to mention that the “Friend” I’ve made is just someone I read with from time to time.
>On that note, it’s time for my favorite period of the day: The free period.
>There’s a spring in my step as I head towards the library. Greene doesn’t always spend our overlapping free period there, but I always enjoy reading with him when he does.
>Doubly so since he seems to have excellent taste in literature.
>Though he definitely does have a preference in subject matter.
>And I swear to God, every week he’s reading a book in a different language
>”I know a bit of Finnish” my tail!
>I smile give a polite wave to miss Theresa as I walk past her, making my way to the corner of the library where Greene likes to read in.
>Though even if I had never met him, I would’ve headed there anyways, seeing as it’s easily the quietest corner of the library.
>It seems I’m in luck today, as Greene is already in his usual spot reading. As I give him a polite wave and head over, I can’t help but feel that something about him is… different today.
>And that suspicion is only confirmed as I get closer and hear him muttering.
>I’ve heard him mutter things under his breath a few times, so that’s not the issue, rather, it’s how… chaotic his words are that concerns me
