My first abstract work, this one of a fox. I really had a good time working on this piece; being able to run and be free with my strokes and to do the swirling, moving patterns was just a joy. I wish the photo print I had made of the original came out somewhat decent; as is, a lot of the detail and colour information has been lost. As an abstract, this was taken from an actual photo of a fox, just zoomed in on one area and abstracted (most people don't know that abstract art comes from actual things and objects, simply interpreted in such a way to become a bit or totally unrecognizable, but still capturing the feeling the artist was trying to get). As such, it's interesting to see what part of a fox people see it as; Tursi saw it as the part between a fox's rear legs ;) But I think I really got the feel of a fox in it, with the playful beauty of the species and the energy they bounce around with. Might do another one day :)
