This was the follow up pic to the 'foxpose' piece. Although I really liked the 'foxpose' one when I did it, looking back on it it seemed too static, to rigid to show the grace of the kata being performed, to show the drama of the mind and body performing together in a meditative ritual that's as a part of nature as the life of the person doing it. This one was done to be much more graceful and flowing, showing the elegance of movement contrasted by the crash of the waves, subtlety contrasted by force. The legs were tricky to get right, as in that particular movement they don't look quite right when put onto paper. So, the leg position shown here isn't true to life, as I had to modify them to look even partway proper when drawn.
