This was, I think, the first time a worked with a brush pen.  I drew and inked this while sitting on the dealer's floor at GenCon'96, working with a pen an artist was nice enough to let me borrow (if I remember correctly, it was like a $80 pen!).  I was rather tickled at how it came out, and went and got a cheap one of my own.  The only trouble with that was, after working with an expensive pen, working with a cheap pen felt like, well, working with a cheap pen.
