A picture I did for a fine arts festival (that got a first in a state competition, and a first and second in national competitions), and that helped me get an art scholarship to college (even tho only the T-rex and part of his horse was done when it was shown). This is an interpretation of an Albert Duer piece (he used to be my hero :), in which I juxtaposed mammals with reptiles, and vice versa. I picked a T-rex for the knight, as they were a sort of lord among the dinos. For Death, I chose a velociraptor; their name means 'swift thief', which death can often be. The snake in his crown was replaced by a monkey on his back, wrapping its tail around his crown; with this, a monkey on his back shows the eventual death of the dinosaurs, as primates evolved from their death to become the next dominate creature on earth. The rest were replaced due their looks.
