A pic done in my drawing II class in college. It was a large wall drawing, measuring a number of square feet, done in colour pastels (I only had the chance to take a b/w photo of it, unfortunately). For that class the teacher had us working from our dreams, as he thought that since we learned the basics in drawing I, we should move on to more conceptual subjects. In this dream, I was a non-morphic fox, traveling across large grassy plains with other non-morphic animals that were my friends. From far back, I caught something in the corner of my eye and turned to look. It was a large, panther-like shadow beast, running to catch up to us with obvious harmful intentions. I tried to warn my friends, to get them to stop walking and to run, and maybe be able to make it away from the thing. For some reason they couldn't seem to hear or see me or it, and continued walking along as it gained on us. With nothing else I could do, I ran back to fight the shadow thing. I knew I couldn't win against it, but I figured I might be able to buy the others enough time to get away, engage it long enough for it to lose them. The dream ended with us locked in combat, with me starting to lose the fight... The teacher really liked this piece, and it felt good to get it out into something on paper. A disturbing, striking image, and one that I enjoy despite the fact of what it is.
