This is one of the few drawings I've done while someone was looking over my shoulder the whole time (that makes me unbearably nervous, and I tend to mess up). Despite that, it came out as a big step in my drawing skills. Even tho it was done back in '96, I can still look back at it and like it as much as when I drew it (usually any pic that's older than six months is painful to look back on, as I think how much better I could do now, and how I could have ever thought to have shown it off before). Another thing that makes me really proud about this pic is that someone asked my permission to use this pic on their high school class ring; they had to pay a couple hundred dollars extra to have the mold made and put on it, but he liked it just that much. I got to see his ring at AC'99, and it was pretty cool :) The one mistake (other than the small hand on the sword) that I should have caught at the time was accidentally putting the toe talons between the toes, and not on the ends of them :p Of course, if I had done the pic nowadays, I would have been less bashful and have drawn him without the loincloth covering ;)
