Due to new laws passing in several countries and US states, Patreon will be required to start charging sales tax on some pledges starting July 1st.Patreon suggested I update you all ahead of their own email, and they've provided some info to make it clear for you guys.

Less than half of all patrons will be charged sales tax, and for most, the amount will be very small. For example, sales tax rates in the US range from 4% to 11%, so on a $5 pledge, that would be between 20 cents and 55 cents.

Whether or not you will be charged sales tax depends on your location, and what is considered taxable there. Not every pledge is taxable, not all benefits are taxable in every location, and sometimes only a fraction of a pledge will be taxable. The money that Patreon collects as a result of these laws are paid directly to local governments.

If you’re in a location where sales tax will be required, you should expect to receive an email from Patreon with more information about this very soon, but I wanted to make sure you were aware of these changes way ahead of July 1st when they go into effect.

I actually finished this up before the recent commissions. Painted fully in acryla-gouache (which is acrylics and not gouache at all, but they're matte - works SO much better for me than regular acrylics!).

I thought this would be for the Anthrocon art show or even Eurofurence. But I honestly don't think those cons will be held at this point. :/

This is a fun one for me, I'm making new art show originals for AC/EF and at the same time refreshing a very popular but VERY old print of mine. I included it to show which piece.

OK, so I've wanted to do a LEGGY full piece for a long time now. I'll be coloring him in markers and pencils! I'm in absolute love with maned wolves, My husband's not in the fandom but I keep telling him he's def a maned walf. He's lean and nearly 6'5", leggy SO long!

Eyyyy, finally finished this series! I've had so many super busy months, moves, etc. since the beginning. Huge thanks to Fenrik, who was told it might be on and off, and who's been nothing but nice and patient!

I think this was my first time ever drawing an opossum! Surprising, because I've done this long enough that I've drawn many more obscure critters. I think they're cute. :O

Super rough sketch for a painting commission I'll be working on.

Some of you might actually remember this one from a couple years ago. It's a redo of a veeery old print of mine that used to be very popular but got too old for my tastes to reprint.

It's been sitting around in just the sketch stage for what feels like forever because for a while I toyed with the idea of YCHing it. In the end I decided to just finish up because I was using this piece to get used to my cintiq and got all the lineart done cleanly. :P

Anyway, there's still quite a ways to go on it but here's what I have so far. Just the background is mostly done.

I noticed the Overwatch McHanzo fandom has a thing for werewolf!McCree. But most of them are not drawn in a way I like so I made my own. I uploaded this cropped to other places because I'm actually embarrassed at my furry trashiness right now. :x

I did a thing for myself while on my few days "off" after EF! It was time, my old ref sheet is 8 years old. Took the opportunity to update the hair style to reflect what I like more on anthros nowadays. :)

I am behind on last time's rewards (and still waiting on info on one), and unlikely to be able to get them done before Eurofurence but they plus these new ones will be done this month, after I return! Sorry about that guys, just stupid busy con time! But I thought I'd get this done before I fly out to give time to send info.

Unfortunately I can't give out a lot of the colored stuff I finished last month because it was collabs. I'll ask the other artists about it at EF though, maybe they don't mind and I can offer them up next time!

I think this will have to be my last original for the EF art show, almost out of time! I think I did alright this year though. :)

This will be painted up in watercolors, I just wanted to do the basic rough sketch digitally and not ruin my paper by erasing. Watercolor paper is not as accepting as bristol or illustration board.

The theme of this sketchbook was feline adventure. I drew tomb raider for him last time, this time Asuka from evangelion as a kitty. The book was 2 pages from being completed, sooo much was done, but there was little that was set in space. :)

One of the scans I got back from a furnal equinox client so it's a bit nicer than my usual con photos. :P

As I thought, I had 8 pledge and dashes this month. It seriously looked like just bots because as I was uploading they kept pledging, and only to me with brand new accounts.

So I'll be careful for a while longer and get back to dropbox I guess until patreon lets me have the pay up front feature. That'll prevent all this fuckery.

Work on the new Sixes book cover. The background is almost done, but the character colors are just roughly blocked in (and I'm missing the wind design in the back).

Doing art for cons has been a GREAT excuse to draw my character. XD

Sorry for the slight lull in updates in the later part of last month, guys. I was prepping hard for a con this weekend. This month will be really weird because I have another con about a week after I come back and then I'm adopting an ex racer greyhound who has never been in a real home, only a kennel, so training will take a fair chunk of my time for a while. Not to worry though, there will be lots of sketches from both cons to show off!

I'm not sure how the new pledge changes for Patreon work quite yet so I'll sort out the rest of this month's content when I get back from the con early next week. It's prepped, but it's unclear to me whether I still need to keep posting to dropbox or if I'm now protected from people pledging and declining, or pledging high and switching their pledge to a low amount near the end of the month (don't do this please, it's such a dick move!). Does anyone know more? The way it's worded I don't understand if ONLY people who's pledge has processed can see the content in their tier or if people who get declined get blocked only after being declined. There's a difference, because the latter means a new account can still get all the content until they get charged for the first time and get declined, or change their pledge amount...

I'm thinking about seriously starting to devote a work day every week to working on my comic. It's been super hard to find time for unpaid work though because I normally just make enough. But it's just silly to have it all planned out and talk about doing it "soon", the soon having been years already. So um, maybe that's coming soon.. for real. XD

This was another themed sketchbook! Got a bunch of those this con which is unusual lately, they were a lot more popular 10+ years ago. Theme was adventure with felines. So I drew the new Lara Croft because I really like her! Pretty much the pose from some of the promotional art. :)

A nice gentleman at Furnal Equinox had a science puns themed sketchbook (be it math or biology, etc). Very fun, and had a lot of art in already. After scratching our heads for a while Erilo came up with algae-bra (she's a mermaid in the full version). Perfect, I got lots of laughs from the client! :)

Maaaaan this month has been busy with furnal equinox and a friend visiting after! I'll try to clean, resize and thumbnail pieces from the con and put them up on dropbox today and tomorrow. But for now here's one I got a scan back of!

I drew the boyfraaaand a silly telegram sticker. I might make more because they're fun, but I need to look into getting SAI or similar for inking. Takes too long without the line smoothing!

In hindsight, I should probably stick them both on one image! XD

So here's the explanation for the new way I'll be picking for now on. It saves me SO MUCH time and I feel it's more truly random than names in a cup (while I tried, it was hard to make the little pieces of paper exactly the same size). I put the names in for all the people eligible any given month. Random.org will just randomize the list and whoever gets #1 is the pick!

So this month's sketch is Aaren Dragon, and the badge is Casidhe again! Lucky lucky!

What do you guys think of the use of a random number generator to do these? It's such a pain in the ass to do it by hand, film, upload. Could I just take a screenshot of the assigned names and numbers and the generated result? I've seen that done on other people patreons.
