WOOHOO (ANOTHER) NEW CHARACTER. Lai wanted to totally overhaul the hyena lady that had been in-process for a long time and this is what we came up with. Very happy with her design now!

Just fer fun here's all the color roughs we did before we picked the one we liked most for that goanna character. c: The first couple are pulled from poison dart frogs. With some characters we have way too many ideas for colors so I do a pile of quick thumbnails like this, other times they come out just how we wanted on the first try.

Woo very happy with this one. :D This was more experimenting with shading, and using scanned traditional inks + digital color on top. Also very obviously thinking about dakimakuras. This is really the wrong resolution and dimensions to actually get printed on a pillowcase, but... let's count it as practice for future endeavors. >:3

Shading!! :0 I'm trying to make a point to shade things more often now, to get out of my flat-colors-only rut. This was an experimental digital color on top of a phone photo of a pencil sketch.

I really need practice with multi-character things and keeping proportions right when two drastically differently sized characters are smashed together, so this was some pencil practice sketch thing. (Leland is my "me" character btw, haha)

HELLO everyone! With the last image pack posted, I've now been posting on Patreon for a year solid! Thank you so much to everyone who's subscribed, I'm very grateful and hope you've all enjoyed the things I've been submitting. :D

In recent months, though, I've found it really hard to keep up with posting on time due to work keeping me busy, so I'm going to be changing the subscription model for the foreseeable future. Charges will now be PER UPDATE instead of per month, and instead of posting the 10-image packs, posts will be single pinups at $1 each. Sketches and WIPs will now be FREE, and accessible only to patrons. I'll also only be posting about 4 pinups a month now instead of 10, but will be trying to focus on higher quality work and more varied themes to make up for it (so hopefully multi-character things and more sequences, and traditional media work sometimes!).

ALSO, with this change you have the option to set your own maximum amount charged per month, if you want to set a budget for posts charged - IE, if you still only want to pledge $3 max a month, but I wind up posting 5 pinups that month, you'll only be charged for 3 of those! This can be set on the same page you adjust your pledges on (the main page of this patreon (I think. :E ))

Since I'm giving you all notice of this change pretty late in the month, the first several pinup posts after this will be FREE, and I'll only start charging for posts around mid-january (MERRY XXXMAS). Please adjust your pledges accordingly before then!

If any of this is confusing or if you have any questions, please let me know! Thank you again to everyone that's subscribed over the last year, I appreciate it SO much.

Just for fun here's something showing my sketch > completion process for the image pack pinups! My sketches are very rough and loose, which I then drop to ~16% opacity or less (until I can barely see it), so that I can ink over that without the sketch being too constraining. The opacity trick also ensures I never ever accidentally ink on the sketch layer. \o/

Recently patreon goofed up something with their card processing, causing almost everyone's charges to be declined this month. If this happened to you, don't try to resend your payment!! This included the Ask Blog and "Finish That" raffle rewards - unfortunately, I still haven't been able to get a new computer setup worked out, and since those rewards were intended to be heavily digital-art-based, it's made completing them difficult.

Thankfully, my image pack buffer is HUGE, so I can continue to post those monthly and will definitely have a new computer setup before I run out of content to share! I've also been working on just a lot of pencil-drawn lineart to later ink and color into digital pinups, so work is going well on that front! c:
