Well It's certainly the last time I'm taking commission with edits. It takes double the time to execute, it slows down me even more and I *do not enjoy further drawing on top of finished picture anyway*

Now, there are few things to discuss:

1) My country forces Payoneer (system I use to get access to money you've donated) to cancel issuing and servicing it's bank cards so it will take some time for me to figure out how to get money from the site the way I want to.

2) Patreon introducing new taxes for patrons. We need to see how this works after July 1st because it's a complete mess and unclear how and which kind of donation tiers will be taxated. I wonder if it will be like, you pledge 1$ and creator receives 1$-tax or patron would be forced to pay 1$+tax themselves.

3) I'm exhausted by this point. I need a break. Every time I take a commission, it halts all my drawing for weeks and I don't have much stuff for an update. (this month I had to help my grandparents in the garden fields for whole week so I wasn't drawing anything on top of having a commission). I feel guilty before all of my wonderful supporters for not delivering as much as I think I should. This thoughts are putting me under pressure every day. This is why I need have some rest from this doubts and sort things out.

Commissions and Patreon are my only source of income for living yet I have issues with both ways :(

Because all of this, starting from June, I'll leave 1$ tier only and my patreon page will function as a humble tip-jar. I still plan to update it with sketches and occasional hi-res versions, but if there won't be enough content, I won't feel guilty this way. Once I sort the thing out, we will make this page great again.

Or maybe I shouldn't do that and just keep going...

Completely ruined my sleep schedule instead of fixing it so last 2 weeks were awful to the point I was so sleep deprived I've barely did my daily tasks. Getting better, now I have some power to draw again.

Hello, I've been silent for a few weeks. And last month overall wasn't great in terms of art (and patrons leaving)... I wish I could assure you this won't happen again but I'm afraid I can't.

The story from spring, when I questioned my lack of motivation and sudden artblocks is not over yet. Turns out I have chronic depression. Curing it isn't matter of weeks or even months. Working at it atm, sometimes at a cost of drawing time. Feeling better now (for how long?), but with less than 2 month before New year, I have to switch my priorities to doing my job as a developer of "Horn of the abyss" fan-made addon for HoMM3. I just can't not to execute my part because I'll let a lot of people down.

As much as I hate to say it, next 2 months won't be an active time on Patreon for us. I'll be posting sketches and pictures as usual, but I can't predict how much stuff I would be able to draw with all this free side work and my surges of depression.

With this said, be aware, treat my patreon as a mere tip jar if you still want to support me.

As for the 2020 - I'll be fired at my current job (it's for the better, yay) in February so I'll go full freelance mode and art would be my only source of income. Except much more activity from me (like never before) when this time comes.

fully colored on Ipad. Who would knew the greatest challenge would be the import of a finished result? Lost some last-minutes progress but not gonna bother with repeating it since just saving the picture took like 1,5 hours of manipulations.

Well, I know what to expect next time! The ideal case would be if I will be able to post finished artwork directly from the ipad, but doesn't look like I've understood file manager and it's quirks well enough yet.

So... Finally here he is! My own fursona, heavily based on me (my sofa, my cloth, my body, but all better) There was a time when I despised any fursona, thought it's silly.... well I was dumb obviously. This month is a catastrophe. First artblock and now I have to literally spend all my free time on side project because deadline is in 4 days and the team I'm in decided to bite more than we can chew (I was against it from the start). I can't just say no and not do my part. Especially at this point, when 90% of work is done. But it infuriates me that I have to spent precious drawing time on that project and I feel like I'm letting everyone here down. Again.

After 25th of april I should be free and I hope I will deliver more drawings.

Some updates on my status:

- had a really busy week on my job, now back to drawing. I have almost 2 weeks left until the end of this month so I want to do all my commissions + other coloring works. There's a collab on my hands where I'm doing coloring too.

- Made computer tomography of my hurt shoulder. Tomography is an advanced X-ray scanning, so I can see only bone structures. But it revealed that an issue discovered before (probable alien body in the joint's capsule) is actually an enostosis, a harmless thing that sometimes occur right inside the bone and not in the joint's space. I still need to make MRI scanning to reveal the damage in soft tissues, but it's significantly more expensive and not urgent, so gonna just save up for that in the future.

In my recent rant I've mentioned how I do not draw things I want... I want to draw faggy stuff >w< Not at the cost of thicc girls ofc, I want to draw both!!!

Doing what I wanted to do long ago - to be inspired by Sif's style. And I didn't draw my girl in a looong time.

October is almost gone but my art activity is at it's lowest. But I want to talk with you about reasons which led to this and what to do in the future. It happened not because I don't have time to draw... but rather a more personal matter involved.

I have an anxiety issues. And it hurts every field of my life, including art. This month the news inside my country are especailly alarming, we have to take some risky changes in my family, I'm trying to quit my sugar addiction (eating 3-4 chocolate bars a day isn't normal. I don't want to be fat and have diabeetus) and even the mere fact that I'm not pumping out art are all put me under mental pressure.

I have time to draw, but I can't force myself to sit and draw most of this time. I can't affect on some of those factors and I want to speak exactly about my issues with patreon. As you can see, 140$ you donate me isn't a big sum. But In my country it's a rather noticible amount. And I have a fear of losing this source of income. Losing why? Because I can not fulfill my patreon promises (thus, as my brain thinks, I will upset you and you abandon me).

Why can't I fulfill my promises? Because (moment of the truth) I don't enjoy the state of things at this moment. It became a routine andit doesn't give me any inspiration. Most of my art (especially polls artworks) appear by the very end of the month only because this moment works as a deadline for me and literaly FORCES to sit and draw. It would be wrong to say that I do not enjoy drawing those artworks (I had a blast doing Nick and Judy last month for example) but that doesn't happen every time. For example exactly at this moment I have zero interest in drawing anything pregnant, yet I owe you a poll and artwork. I've stuck with commission, I can't find a good mindset and inspiration. And overall.. I don't draw the way I would like to.

There are many things I want to try, I want to draw (or not draw), but I'm too afraid to repulse you and lose the support. I feel obligated to keep doing exactly what I was doing for last months and it kills me inside. There's only 2 options for me: to become a robot and keep drawing artworks for the only reason of earning money or to radically change things, try new fields but lose your support if I, for exaple, won't make hi-res versions of pictures or my polls are formed when I want it and not by a schedule.

I hate how long it takes to draw a clean colored picture. (and If I have a commission, it would certanly take a week and will screw things on this site. Especially if it's something I can't post here because of the terms of service) I need to draw a lot for practiece. I need to draw many sketches, many linearts and flat-colored works. I'm sick of my "style" and the way I render pictures. But all those things I'm tiered of are the reason why you chose me to support.

Sometimes the idea of quitting patron and being free of "promised themes, styles and polls" feels very attractive. But I simply can't afford to do this. I feel cornered and my anxiety rises.

TL;DR - I want to stop drawing colored hi-res artworks and focus on training and sketching, but I'm way to afraid to lose your support after such changes because of my anxiety.

And I won't make a pregannt poll for this month.

this is what we were talking about not long ago... no hi-res, no complex rendering, but I can draw something like this every other day!

As an improved reward for 3$ patrons I've decided to give you a bit more control over this activity. Previously, when a character got out of the poll (by being top-voted or gathering 0 votes) I replaced the position with whatever I had in mind (rest of the poll positions were carried over the next month).

Now my 3$ patrons can suggest me characters they want to see in the poll next month and I will pick one (or more if there will be 0-votes eliminations) of this suggestions to fill the gap.

Since winner of february character poll is glorious scratazon, we have 1 position to fill... but I want to have a clear start! So this is what we will do:

6 positions for the next month poll are empty now. I fill it based on your suggestions (if there will be more than 6 charas suggested, I'll take those which I like the most) right in a reply section to this post. 2 extra features:

1) 2 or more patrons can name same character. Character with more votes will make it into the poll independently of my preferences.

So, my recent art block in the beginning of this month isn't over yet. I don't want to draw... or rather I don't want to start drawing any new pictures. And this very page might be one of the reasons.

I always had a "quality over quantity" mindset when it comes to drawing. Eventually, color rendering became my strongest skill, but at a cost of being not as good in other aspects of art. Anatomy skill, ideas, quick sketches - all of this requires a lot of practice. Which I didn't have because I wanted literally EVERY picture to be fully rendered and colored in a high resolution (resulting in only few pictures per month). Everything more sketchy was (and still is) perceived by me as "unworthy" and "bad", resulting in spending time only on "fully colored" pictures. I understand that this mindset only harms me, my art and my further development as an artist. I want to break this awful habit by devoting less time to mechanical rendering and more to sketching and rough coloring.

Now this is the moment when another bad trait of mine comes into play - fear of being rejected. Over the years my watchers (and now patrons) got used to my fully rendered art as the only kind of art I do. I have this subconscious fear that I will lose your support if I'll switch out of my usual way of drawing and, say, won't provide at least 4 hi-res pictures per month (a rule for myself I don't dare to break). Add to this my mindset "if my art didn't took 8+ hours and isn't in Hi-res then it's bad" and you'll see the cage I've trapped myself into.

Now I ask you to help me. Tell me you aren't here just for my mechanical coloring skill. Tell me if you'd rather see me experimenting with styles and techniques, even if it comes at a cost of my "usual" style of drawing and may be not as good (because of the gaps in said skills I need to improve).

As of rewards, with less Hi-res art I can only offer more polls and early access. I really need to lift this weight of responsibility off my shoulders so I can start fighting with tyranny of perfectionism. Please tell me what you think guys...

I'm forcing myself to draw and It sucks and only further slows me down. I dunno if starting this Patreon was a good idea if I can't handle it.
