The baboon in the mirror
Grinning, shrieking, 
Flashing its teeth and
Showing its reddened ass
Cannot survive in the wild
(It is too accustomed to people)
But
Is too wild to be tamed.
Lock it away in a cage
And tranquilize the shit out of it
Until it looks at least
Halfway peaceful
For gawking 
six 
year 
olds
Who will never see
A real wild baboon.
