Shelter of stone

Oxygen rushing to my lungs and I can breathe,

knowing others now can see what I have seen.

I felt lost and in the dark,

listening to your song of  harm.

I've grown cold, faded to black,

counting the years I can never gain back.

Sometimes I wonder where you are,

life then distant as counted stars.

It's growing dark I'm still alone,

my heart is in a shelter of stone.
