Good for Pets and Humans Alike By Fern Shelia gasps as she notices something immediately wrong with her hand. Her long nails are shortening while her fingers are becoming stubby. As she looks at her other hand to see if there are similar changes, Shelia realizes her nose is encroaching in her field of view from below. A box of dog treats hits the ground. "I don't understand," Shelia gasps. "I-It was just a dog treat! How could it be... be..." Shelia yelps as she looks behind her. She sees a nub growing just above her panties... with gold fur covering it! "A dog," she screams. Before she could even begin to comprehend this revelation, Shelia found herself rotating her arms. Her legs make joints in new places that make standing on her feet rather difficult. As she falls forward, she catches herself from hitting the floor with her... paws? "Rooh! Ruh," she questions herself after hearing her new voice. Shelia wriggles her tongue inside of herself. She finds that she can no longer move it to form certain sounds. "Rouch," Shelia exclaims as her tongue passes over her teeth. Her molars are now sharp... a lot of her teeth are! Designed to crunch and tear food with ease, especially the four large canines that rest at the back and front of her long snout. That's when Shelia notices that she can see her own black, wet nose. The bottom of her vision is taken up by her new snout. She clumsily backs up, nearly tripping. She gasps as she steps on what appear to be clumps of her hair. Turning her head towards the nearest mirror. The demi-dog is alarmed that her ears have shifted to the top of head as short flaps of fur-covered flesh. What's more shocking to her, though, is that her long locks of blonde hair are falling out by the second! "Roh! Ranyring rut rat!" **Crunch.** The half-dog looks down at her left back paw to see the box of treats she dropped. She awkwardly scrambles to it, failing to pick it up afterward. "Ris is rall ror rault," she shouts as she stomps on the box over and over. Treats spill out all over the floor. Actually, they look rather tasty. She was curious before. Maybe they'll taste even better now... "Roh," she asserts herself while fur starts to grow all over her body. "Rrr ront rurect grr relf grorrrr..." Shelia licks—no, pants over the sight. Her new nose overwhelms her with the meaty scent of these treats that are just inches away. Her fur grows out more as it becomes as long and lustrous as the hair on the ground... The collie leans down and starts scarfing treats off the floor. She doesn't care how long they've been on the carpet, especially when they taste even better than they have the first time around. It's so meaty and savory. She never thought a baked treat could taste like this and how wonderful that texture would be on her new long tongue! As Shelia continues to enjoy the food to her heart's content, she finds that the name "Shelia" isn't all that familiar to her anymore. In fact, nothing about her past is all that familiar. These memories make no sense to her. She wasn't ever that tall or had those weird hands humans do. It's not worth thinking about though, especially when it's meal time. As the border collie stands back up, she shakes her head vigorously in order to get the now empty box off. Now complete, she is a prime and healthy example of her breed. Her blonde and golden fur would entice even the biggest grump to give her head a pat. They might even go for a belly rub as the fur down there is just inches off the floor. The nameless dog stands there and pants, wondering what to do now. Seeing the open door to her backyard, she decides that resting in the sun with her full belly is a great use of her time. The collie steps on the box of treats on her way towards the outdoors. Her paw left a print on the product's tagline: "BRING OUT YOUR INNER DOG!"
