A Drive In the middle of the night, I knew myself I figured it out after driving around I deconstructed lies that sat on my shelf That had been waiting for the slightest sound And when the lightning struck I looked to the clouds Waiting for, with any luck, Some blossoming sounds Crowding the air that danced to and fro Shedding quick the grime that had kept them so low And driving them with force through the cold, hard ground They rode the only screaming bolts to be found The cars that passed me on the interstate road Blurred into the darkness that saturated the air And bled into my lungs where a dark red glow Inhabits the cure, working to keep it there ~
