Lani walked through Gridania, the city of the forest, her generous proportions hidden with an illusion as she carried a large box. She could have given it to the moogles to deliver, but there was a sense of worry that it would get sent to the wrong place, resulting in a lot of embarrassment for the recipient, and maybe even problems if it was a man living with a lover. Eventually, she found the spot she'd been looking for - a large tree with a metal basin in front of it, and stepped through a hollow in the tree. She handed the box to a woman working at the guild inside the tree's hollow, the Conjurer's Guild, one of the primary locations healers could be found. "Here's my delivery this month. Thank you again for allowing me to put this to good use." The woman smiled, putting the box aside. "Thank you too. We are all grateful for your help, and I like to think the adoptive mothers are too." Just then, another woman spoke up from behind them. "Excuse me, what about adoptive mothers?" Lani turned around to see a young Au Ra woman carrying a child; she was likely one such person. The Viera looked at her, and decided that this woman was trustworthy enough to explain. "Some, such as myself, provide their breast milk to the Conjurer's Guild, so that mothers who have adopted can still feed their children." The woman smiled, nodding. "Oh, how generous! I'm glad there are good people like you left. Of course, the dream would be to be able to TRULY lactate, to feed my little one by myself, but that would take effort that I sadly can't commit to, as I must keep watch over him constantly..." And this set the wheels in Lani's mind into motion. An hour later, in the desert city of Ul'dah, Lani knocked on a door in the Hourglass, an inn containing the local adventurer's guild. The door opened to reveal a well-dressed Miqo'te woman in a suit reminiscent of a butler's, with reddish-pink hair that curled in a pair of drill-like shapes in front, and a braid in the back. "Good evening, Lani," said the woman. "Please, come in." The woman stepped to the side, allowing Lani to walk in. "Thank you, V'iri. It's good to see you. I wanted to talk to you about an encounter I had in Gridania." The Miqo'te then shut the door, and held a hand over her chest. She'd had an illusion on her outfit much like Lani's, and once she dispelled it, it was revealed that her own breasts were as big as Lani's, who had dispelled her own outfit illusion. After this, Lani began to tell the story of her delivery, and the woman she had met. "Honestly, it was heartbreaking. She clearly cares about her child, and wants to raise him like a biological mother. And then there's what she said to me, about being a good person. I was afraid to let her know about my issues, and how before I started donating, I considered all the milk to be waste..." V'iri wasn't sure what to say to her friend. She had never been good at comforting others, as she'd grown up as a pirate before becoming a servant and then an adventurer. However, fortunately for her, Lani wasn't that upset; on the contrary, she had a determined expression on her face. "However, I had a brilliant idea. I've told you about the enchantments I learned to cast, have I?" The Miqo'te nodded, remembering that Lani could temporarily "copy" aspects of her curse to others by enchanting her milk. However, suddenly her eyebrows rose in surprise, realizing what Lani was about to suggest. "...Oh... ...I see. I can't quite say whether or not I think it can work. However, I doubt you can do this all by yourself." The next day, the two got started. Early in the morning, they both traveled to their agreed meeting point: the Sea of Clouds, a locale high above the mountains of Abalathia that almost looked like an archipelago in the middle of a white sea. The land was somewhat remote, and the two had found one of the least-frequented islands to set up shop. Lani was the first to arrive, having already taken her shirt off despite the chill in the air. This, of course, didn't help when suddenly, she felt a pair of gloved hands squish her massive breasts from behind, causing her to gasp in surprise and causing milk to leak out. She then heard a soft chuckle, and a familiar voice. "My apologies, but I've always wanted to do that." Lani sighed in relief as V'iri stepped out from behind her. "Please don't do that again! If you do, I might just make you the test subject for these "potions" we're making." Both of them laughed, and with that, they began planning. "Now, we may need a lot of supplies. Not only are there women who might want to feed their children, but there may also be those who want to give these a try for recreational use. After all, there's certainly a lot of people who wouldn't mind having leaky breasts in bed! Because of this, we need to be certain I'll be able to handle being milked for long periods of time, so I want to see if I can handle an hour of constant milking." "An endurance test, then? Very well. I'd be glad to assist." V'iri brushed her hands along Lani's breasts, the soft fabric of the gloves causing the Viera's body to relax, but the milk only began to let down once her nipples were squeezed lightly. Lani sighed in contentment as her friend lightly tugged at her nipples, which were so large that the Miqo'te could just barely get her hands around it. As time passed, they began to casually chat, and soon, both of them realized that the sun had risen. They had spent twice the amount of time they originally planned, and not once had Lani felt any sort of discomfort, despite her milk flow never having run for this long. The test was a success, they supposed, and so they decided to go pick up the supplies for this new business. ...Well, after V'iri cleaned both their clothes, using a secret to fast cleaning that she would take to her grave. That night, Lani decided to treat herself; instead of going back home, she teleported to the city of Kugane, in the Far East. After checking into the inn and putting on a swimsuit in her room, she headed to a hot spring connected to the inn, stepping in. She relaxed, wondering what would happen next. Would she need to talk to someone to get it approved? Would the possible recreational uses make it popular? What was that odd feeling in her chest? ...Wait, that wasn't a feeling of nervousness. She looked down at her breasts, and... great. They had started spraying through her swimsuit a bit. Last time she went to a hot spring, she fell asleep and her breasts had grown so massive that she'd been kicked out for taking up space, and now she was going to get kicked out for lactating in a public place. ...Or she would, had the spray not suddenly stopped. This was the most confused she'd ever been in weeks; her breasts usually never started uncontrollably spraying. What happened? She shook her head and pretended to slip onto her side, since her breasts hadn't touched the water yet and had very obvious damp spots. Fortunately, this soaked the rest of her outfit, meaning any potential suspicion was cleared. Lani decided to turn in for the night, assuming (and hoping) that it was just a fluke. A few days passed, with the two being too busy with their own affairs to meet back up and actually start the process of getting the milk. Lani hadn't suffered any sudden bouts of milk leaking like before, and thus she ruled that the incident in Kugane certainly wouldn't happen again. It took a while before they both had free time, but once they did, Lani and V'iri went back to the Sea of Clouds to get their product. The milking session was surprisingly short; despite the two bringing along a container that was just barely able to fit in a room, it was filled up in just three hours thanks to Lani's incredibly productive breasts. Since it ended so early, Lani took the opportunity to go off and explore the Sea of Clouds, particularly curious about the nearby land of Azys Lla, a floating laboratory used by an ancient, highly advanced civilization. As she explored, the feeling from a few days ago returned, and her breasts began leaking through the shirt she'd been wearing instead of her usual semi-transparent top. This time, there was no mistake: it seemed that constant lactation for hours would result in occasional milk leaks for some time afterwards. Lani didn't care, though, since Azys Lla was as less-frequented as the rest of the Sea of Clouds, and she'd already produced more than enough milk to last them a good amount of time. The next day, the two took their product to the alchemist's guild in Ul'dah to have it looked over and tested, and though the alchemists could clearly tell what the source was, they approved it for the two to sell. With their source being so abundant, they could sell the "potion" at a price that, while not dirt-cheap, was still good for many Eorzeans. While Lani handled production and marketing, V'iri handled the actual sales and bookkeeping. After a few sales at first, Lani brought a few potions back to Gridania, leaving them with the conjurers and telling them to keep the potions for mothers who needed them, and if the Au Ra from before came back, to give one to her. That night, after they'd sold all of their first-day stock, the two went to Lani's house, sitting in the basement library with mugs of hot chocolate as they discussed the results so far: it was a resounding success! More mothers could give their babies the attention they wanted to, and there just HAD to be people there who were just buying it because it was a hot idea. Eventually, the Miqo'te would need to head back to the inn, but not before Lani called her over for a hug, getting the last word in: "Thank you, V'iri, for being my best friend."
