Subject name: Sia Researcher name: Sia Date: July 10, 2020 Test Purpose: To ensure my new alchemical modulator works. Hypothesis: I’ll get this hydrogen sample registered into the modulator, and hopefully it should start filling me up with hydrogen. Description: At last, the alchemical modulator is complete! This device should read samples of any gas that enters my body, and will be able to alchemically convert the air in my internal tank to said gas. I ended up getting a sample of hydrogen from my friend Nina for testing purposes. When I told her about the modulator, she seemed really interested in testing, and ended up giving me a bit of the hydrogen her body constantly produces for free. And how could I not turn that down? I began the test by holding the vial of hydrogen directly up to my mouth and “inhaling.” The modulator read it as it should, and began to analyze it, but then, somehow, a glitch in the system happened. As soon as it finished analyzing, the tank’s valve opened up. I thought nothing of it at first, but then when I tried to close it, I realized that somehow, I was prevented from doing so! The more the tank stayed open, the bigger I filled up. I certainly wasn’t going to turn down a good blimping, but not if I hadn’t programmed the glitch in myself! As my belly hit the size of a basketball, I looked through my code to see if it had been rewritten, but not a single piece of altered code was visible between it and my backups! When my breasts began to swell out too, I felt a certain lightness to them that I’d felt before, and it became all too clear what was going on. The modulator was going haywire too, and was filling my body with the hydrogen I’d put in for it to sample! My body continued until my belly reached 4 feet wide, at which point I began to float. Just then, I got a call, and picked up. “Hello!?” I shouted in worry. The smug voice on the other end knew all too well what was going on. “You fell for the old infected hydrogen trick!” That damn Nina tricked me! Though it felt amazing, I still had to get my revenge. “Y-yeah. I sure did. And I’m fine with it. Want to come over and see your handiwork for yourself?” Her reply was simple, and I could already sense the slight smile to her face with these words. “I’m getting close already.” And with that, she hung up. A few minutes later, I managed to get out of the lab as my belly hit 6 feet, hanging onto a support pole to stay down. Nina, the purple and gray dragon who was already a bit inflated, came hovering down slowly, laughing. “Oh, man! I can’t believe you actually did that! But hey, at least I know the viruses in my body work on robots too.” She floated a bit closer to admire her handiwork as I watched with a worried look. ...Though I didn’t have that look for long. As she came close to me, a smile popped onto my face as I reached out and gave her a good smack on the horn. The hissing sound surrounding us grew louder as Nina’s body suddenly began to grow at a high speed. “I deserved that,” she said laughing, as she swiftly blimped up to the same 7-foot size as me, and I let go. Higher and higher we floated into the sky, my body somehow managing to stay strong. Maybe it was the viruses in Nina’s helium augmenting the latex’s strength somehow? How could a biological virus even do this? I decided not to question it, as she’d start babbling on about biological research, which was never my strong suit for obvious reasons. My body grew bigger and bigger, and I could have sworn I was becoming an actual blimp. With a 10-foot belly and 3-foot breasts, I was starting to reach my limit. But… I wasn’t. The pressure was exhilarating, but that tension, that feeling that you’re approaching some limit, it just wasn’t there. And this worried me. Bigger and bigger I got, and soon I heard a snapping sound, and felt a thump against my belly. My exhaust fan had snapped off in my panic, a problem that never got fixed. And this meant I was beginning to overheat! But it wasn’t all panic. It felt amazing, being blown up bigger than I’d ever been before. I was lost in the pleasure, as we floated high over the land. The exhaust fan snapping only meant I’d start getting bigger and bigger, as the fan stopped letting excess hydrogen out and the heat caused it to expand. It was only a matter of time before I’d go out with a bang, and sure enough, it happened. I went off like a bomb, and so did Nina. I woke up on the ground right outside the lab. I would assume it was all just a dream (yes, I can have those), except for the note on the ground beside me. “To Sia - Wow, you made a pretty nice explosion there! You surprised me, I thought you’d be done for sure. But you sure can take a beating! My bracelet fell down next to you while you were self-repairing, and you didn’t have a scratch at all! Anyway, I dropped you back off at the lab as compensation. Also, check that modulator of yours, that sample I gave you was special. Thanks for the fun, let me know if you ever want to do it again! -Nina” My curiosity was piqued, and I did as she said. The modulator had doubled in options, from just air and hydrogen to virus-laden forms like Nina’s sample. The virus, which I swear had to be magical at this point, also rewrote my basic options and gave me some new ones, such as the ability to control how big I get before I explode. This wasn’t a curse like I originally thought, but a blessing! Looks like I have some more testing to do, though I don’t think I’ll need test reports for these... Result: I’m not sure! The sample wasn’t what I expected, but it made for the best of all these tests I’ve done, and the modulator works amazingly. So technically, it was a failure, but in my eyes? Success!
