My body is an anchor and chain

Floating along with my innermost fancies and demons  
Navigating the abstract jumble with a seaman’s  
Utmost skill cutting through a bad storm  
So many thoughts blend and swarm

Overwhelmed by my wandering imagination  
Inspired by epiphanies and frightened with every abomination  
Lost without direction and having no cause  
Imperfect yet with no flaws

Away from reason I can stray
