Bears Grumpy old and mean Uncouth, messy, and unclean Or sassy, witty and wise Don’t judge them for their size Bears have a terrible bite and maul Yet I’m at their beckoning and call For underneath this disguise there is sweetness You’ll just have to excuse their lack of neatness Bears can be teddies if you treat them right You just have to stop being afraid of their bite For if you give them a chance You just may find some like to dance You see, underneath the razor sharp fangs and grizzly claws Are cute button noses and adorable paws Even with all his power a bear can be a gentle giant They are also affectionate, passive, and reliant Although mine might from time to time bellow and wrinkle his snout I write this poem with cheer For you see in case you haven’t figured it out I’m not talking about the animal here
