Rabbits don’t like Snow Lappy pokes his head out of the ground He’s so cautious he barely shows his chin Daring to take a break from home sweat mound The kiss of snow makes him dart back in A second time the daring rabbit raises his ears Like a periscope searching for his fears The wind howls as it blows Yet he lets the frost nip his nose What fun there is to be had here! So full of things that are new This place that inspires wonder and cheer! Then back to the hole after a loud “A - CHOO!” “This cold tickles my nose and makes me sneeze I can’t stay long in this biting breeze Surely rabbits stay in holes, less they freeze! My nose is already numb, geez! So Lappy reluctantly locked the door Grumbling that his hole was a terrible bore But the white stuff coaxed him back for more “I’m not gunna let fear stop me from having fun” he swore So Lappy jumped with glee and played hard His ability to enjoy life was no longer barred He bravely leapt into a different world Around the snow he leaped and twirled “God, let me be normal – rabbits don’t like snow” he once desperately prayed But the urges to be in the frost made him go Now he is no longer afraid
