Another day, another set of experiments. Being a researcher meant lots of work, most of it wasn’t very physical though, so exhaustion was rare. Enjoying that work even made it energizing sometimes! Keeping clean and organized were both plenty important too. So it made good sense to have a smooth and slick laboratory with two different washrooms attached to it just in case. Silvery tiles adorned the floors, bright lights casted a white glow over everything, and clean-steel tools were kept snug in their drawers. Bunson brushed his lab coat and doctor’s scrubs off as he walked out of the washroom and into his laboratory, making sure there wasn’t any stray water on him, a wet floor in a laboratory was a tripping hazard after all. And tripping could lead to making a mess. That just wouldn’t do, not in here at least, the experiment room was made to romp in. Speaking of, he needed to give his friend Justin a call about some testing he needed done! The lean rabbit fished his phone out of a pocket and gave the big gryphon a call. --- A familiar ringtone from a nearly tablet-sized Godphone23 grabbed the godly gryphon’s attention. It’d been a while since he’d heard from his diminutive, bunny buddy. He scooped his phone up from his dresser and held it up to his ear, eyes following a tiny figure scampering around near his sneakers. “Hi Bunson, what’s up?” As Bunson spoke, the brown-furred bunny stepped over to a petri dish he prepared last week. The microscopic tribe that was there had advanced their way into being a modern city. “Hello Justin! There’s an experiment I want to run…” The milling grey hive in the dish grabbed his attention, making his voice trail off. “An experiment? What kind?” Justin sat up straight, his attention focused on the call. Bunson’s response was delayed as he picked the petri dish up with his other hand and held it at a few new angles, examining it a bit more closely. “A rampage experiment. I want to take some notes on how tough a tiny city can be!” “Oh you know I’m always up for some rampage fun! I need to clean up, but then I’ll be right over!” “See you soon!” And with that, he hung up and pocketed his phone again, eyes fixed on the microscopic city he held. Bunson hummed to himself in thought, his huge ears drooping forward as his face loomed above it. “I wonder what you taste like…” A fuzz-covered finger came up to his lips, where a pink tongue brushed over its tip, making it slick with saliva. Then, slowly and carefully, he dipped his finger into the center of the petri dish, crushing everything under it and smearing it into the fresh saliva. That finger came back to his lips and disappeared behind them as he licked the mess on it clean. “Mmmh… Earthy and strangely salty, not bad!” He grabbed the dish with two hands then and brought it right up to his face, where his pink nose sniffed at it, whiskers twitching, and accidentally slicing a building or two in half. A pink sky descended on the city’s inhabitants then as Bunson licked everything left up in one go with a happy hum before gulping it down. A blissful smile spread across his face as he set the freshly emptied dish down. “Almost like cookie crumbs~” A sudden rush of warmth overcame the entire room then as a translucent, blue portal opened up beside Bunson. He stumbled back a couple steps, surprised by the sudden oval over three times his size that appeared out of nowhere. Just as Bunson was about to poke his hand through it, Justin stepped through with a wide smile. “Hi there little guy!” He reached a hand down to give him a pet between his ears before scooping him up into a hug, hoisting him up high. “H-Hi Justin!” Bunson returned the firm hug as best as he could. But being only two feet tall made it hard, especially when compared to the currently six foot tall god of a gryphon. “You’re just in time!” Justin set his friend down with a chuckle. “Heh-heh, I knew I would be! So where do you want me to romp around?” “Right over here, follow me!” Bunson hurried over to a pair of huge double-doors on the far side of his laboratory. A number pad rested at the perfect height for the short rabbit and his fingers typed in a long code in almost record time before the huge pair of doors slid open. A room the size of a warehouse was revealed, with the same lighting as the lab. “Here it is! A shrunken city for us to rampage through!” “Us? I thought you preferred watching me do my thing?” Justin’s tone wasn’t confused, but questioning and excited instead as one brow raised alongside the matching corner of his mouth in a smirk. Bunson started to blush for a moment, ears folding halfway back as he looked down to his green-furred toes for a moment to collect himself before meeting Justin’s smirk with a timid smile. “I’ll be noting things down too, b-but yes I’ll be joining you for some of the rampaging… If that’s ok?” “Of course it is, buddy! I’m glad to see you trying more stuff!” He reached down to give the copious amount of fluff on one of Bunson’s cheek a ruffling before straightening out again and looking out over the huge room, its entire floor covered in city, inhabitants included. The center third of the room was clearly downtown judging by the waist-high, to Justin, buildings. And as the city spread out, the buildings became shorter and more widely spaced. There were two main roads though that went from one wall to the other, crossing in the middle. It was wide enough for Bunson to walk down like a thin runway if he wanted. Just one of Justin’s hefty stompers would spill out onto the sidewalks though, and probably scrape into buildings too. “Wow, they expanded a lot faster than I thought they would!” He announced while hurrying over towards a rack of clipboards and grabbing one before running back beside Justin. He stood there with bare paws and a pair of blue gym shorts. One paw tapped out a slow rhythm as he crossed his arms and hummed in thought. “How should we start this, Bunson?” The shorter of the pair’s nose twitched in thought as he watched the simulated sun and sky gently shift along the room’s ceiling. “I’ll get into a good spot to record some findings, then you can start to rampage.” “Go for it! I’ll do some stretching while I wait.” Bunson nodded nervously, clutching his clipboard and pen close to his chest as he stepped right up to the city’s outskirts and peered forward. There were so many ways to handle this, and he wasn’t sure what would be best. All those options paralyzed him for a moment while Justin arched his back and reached up towards the ceiling. “Do what your gut says is best, that’s how I like to romp!” With a floppy-eared nod, Bunson finally took his first step. His green toes loomed above an empty trailer, its inhabitants having already fled further into the city while the two titans decided their fate. Soon his equally green sole would hover above that trailer, almost exactly as large as it was. A split second later, it disappeared with the telltale thwump only a rabbit’s paw could make. The echo of the impact was joined by a sound not unlike a can crumpling as well as a surprised yelp. “O-Oh! That was a lot easier than I expected!” “Of course it was, you’re huge compared to them! Have some fun while you get into position to watch me work~” Justin’s tone was just as teasing as it was encouraging, but a well-meaning smirk told Bunson that he was being honest. “W-Will do!” He called back with perked up ears and a second step into the outskirts. This time, his toes caught another trailer, while his heel flattened the back half of another. The metal barely resisted his paw as it effortlessly plowed into it. Bunson couldn’t help but note down on his clipboard right away. ‘The trailers feel like stiff aluminum foil. And the street lamps…’ He stepped to the side, planting his paw on a side street, smothering it fully and even cracking the asphalt as he stepped forward, his full weight on just that one paw for a short moment. ‘The lamps snap like matches and the road crumbles like a stale cookie.’ The science-focused Scorbunny continued his stroll through the outskirts with a pleased smile and a scribbling pen. He didn’t even realize he had just stepped on someone until his other paw left the ground and a wet splotch sounded out under his sole. A small burst of warmth and a surprised jump from Bunson followed, smashing a small home to rubble under his rear as he fell onto it. Justin watched with excitement, but wore a concerned expression. He hoped Bunson would take this new experience well. He didn’t seem bothered in the slightest by the fall, and he hadn’t dropped his clipboard or pen. He did set them both aside though before reaching for the paw that just popped someone under it. He turned its bottom to face him and gawked at the red splatter, most of it stained his green sole, but some spilled out over the brown fur near it. His eyes were held wide for a moment before they squinted inquisitively and let his paw go in favor of taking more notes. ‘The feeling of a tiny body flattening underfoot is… intoxicating. The rush is much more pleasant than I expected, but it’s very short lived. I will have to watch Justin to get a more experienced opinion on the sensation.’ He carefully stood up again, standing beside the former home he landed on and looking over it for a moment. ‘The buildings feel remarkably soft. They appear to be made of the same materials one would expect. But they feel like tough styrofoam. I must ask Justin what he thinks of that feeling later during this experiment.’ The rest of Bunson’s rampage would be more of a careful stroll as he avoided some of the undamaged portions, his eyes scanning around for a large parking lot to stop in and observe Justin from. Near the corner of the more urban section of the city he would find exactly that, half of it empty and the other half packed with vehicles. His fluffy stompers would fill the empty half of the parking lot as he looked down to the assembled cars and trucks with a quick wiggle of his tail. He hadn’t jumped yet, and this looked like the perfect opportunity. So, with a ‘small’ hop, he would leap over twice his height into the air, giving him time to aim his landing carefully. With an impressive THOOM-Crunch! All but a lucky few cars were compacted into foil beneath Bunson’s paws. Even the toughest of trucks was rendered almost completely flat with his leaping stomp. The impact even shook the nearby supermarket, sending a small section of the roof into the building as it crumbled. Justin watched with an open-mouthed smile, eyes bright as he applauded. “That was great! I knew you had it in you!” Bunson turned around with a light blush. “Thank you. I-I wasn’t sure how well that would go. But these notes are great and that felt… v-very nice.” “Heh, I’m sure it did~ Now relax and watch a master do his thing.” Justin stretching made him plenty limber and prepared to make this a good rampage. His first step didn’t just obliterate a small side street, but his wide paws squashed the trailers on either side of it too. The pink pads plowed through anything in their way, smashing it into the ground, leaving nothing but wreckage and a pawprint behind. The godly gryphon wasn’t holding back in the slightest. He let his might show as every step made the rest of the city shake, even Bunson could feel the miniature quakes, his eyes locked on Justin’s paws as they gobbled up one portion of the outskirts after another. ‘Justin’s paws can effortlessly compact small structures as if they weren’t even there. They even let out quakes when he’s stepping down hard.’ There were a few stubborn folks who tried to hide out in or around their homes and trailers, and that strategy worked against Bunson’s rampage. But Justin’s was both more destructive and more thorough. He wasn’t even aware of the few people that were reduced to stains on his paws as he walked along, his focus on the structures. Bunson caught sight of the crimson splotches though, and it made him blush plenty. He buried his face in his notes, keeping his hands busy with them while trying to hide the red in his ears. There was even a slight pink tinge to his fluff-covered cheeks. It wasn’t long before half of the outskirts were nothing but gryphon prints, every inch of space having been stepped on at least once. He struck a flexing pose and looked over to Bunson. “So, how was that?” The blush hadn’t faded by the time Justin finished with that section of the city, and as he looked up to his big friend’s impressive pose, the red and pink returned. “It w-was great, J-Justin! I got amazing n-notes from that!” He tried to stifle his stuttering with enthusiasm, but it was no use, it came through anyway. His tone was confident though. Justin smirked and dropped the pose, crossing his arms as he walked up to the more urban section of the city, downtown nestled further inside it. “I’m glad you’re enjoying this as much as I am~ Now let’s see how fun I can make this…” Bunson held his pen and clipboard ready while Justin paced alongside the city for a moment, thinking over how to best demolish it. He would line himself up with the main street and move his hands to his hips with a sinister smile. He tested the street’s width with a paw, and sure enough, it couldn’t hold it. The edges of his sole and toes were just too wide for the poor road to handle. The sidewalks disappeared and the structures alongside the road had their fronts smothered. Justin purred out just one word before stepping forward. “Perfect~” The fleeing citizens had ample time to escape the outskirts, but things were getting clogged deeper into the city, and this street was as congested as could be the closer one got to downtown. Justin’s forward paw had claimed a freshly abandoned car, its driver running along the middle of the street in a desperate attempt to flee the malevolent god. He picked that paw back up and took a proper step onto the road. The cacophony of crunches, crackles, and splats that sounded out made both his and Bunson’s spine tingle. He could still feel a few lucky survivors squirming around underfoot though. So, with a mighty pump of that leg's muscles, everything under that paw would be flattened into nothing but stickers and paste as the ground itself was compacted a few inches with a single CRACK! Bunson could hardly believe it. He knew Justin was a god and just as powerful as a god should be. But he had no idea that he could so casually show off so much physical strength too. His clipboard would be lifted a bit to avoid the tent that grew in his pants. Justin lifted that paw up high, letting the remains of those he just squashed stretch out between his paw and the ground before the strands of gore snapped under the tension and splatted either back to the ground, or onto his paw where they would stay stuck. The pawprint left in the street was the deepest one yet, and some of the fleeing residents stopped and stared in a mix of horror and awe at the hovering paw and the fallout of one of its steps. That man who had nearly escaped a flattened fate earlier was frozen in place, watching as this enormous gryphon’s destructive paw was set beside its twin, only for that one to lift up high. Its bottom wasn’t nearly as messy as the other. In fact, it looked quite plush, soft even. The leathery, pink pads had only a few bits of rubble on them and the smeared splotches of what must’ve been some of the outskirts' inhabitants. The huge sole of this god supported four plump toes, their pads the same gentle pink. And the heel, it wasn’t as large as the sole, but it must’ve been thicker, enough to swallow a man whole before splattering him under the divine being’s weight. He simply watched as Justin slowly lowered that paw down over the space in front of the previous pawprint. People ran by him, but he just stood there and watched. The creases and folds along Justin’s sole would be scanned over, every little detail absorbed by the stunned man. It wasn’t long before he had to drop onto his knees, then his back as it closed in. Cars began to crumple, alarms going off before being silenced as the vehicles were turned into scrap, all while he watched the sole deform around everything it touched, engulfing it before squashing it flat. And it was finally his turn. The warm, leathery flesh smothered him in under a second, his muscles overpowered in an instant as everything was pinned. His breath was forced out in a muffled scream as he was compacted to his body’s limits against the road beneath him. But right as he was about to pop, the pressure halted, only being enough to leave him breathless and pinned. He wondered for a moment if he was about to be spared, only for his heart to skip a beat as he remembered the sudden jolt of might that smashed everything under this gryphon’s previous step. Right as that realization was made, his body was instantly reduced to a crimson paste under the same pulse of pressure as before. Nothing stood a chance under Justin, and the interesting strategy for removing the hope of the city’s inhabitants would be noted down by a constantly blushing Bunson. “Mmmh, I love doing that! Feeling everyone splat and everything crunch all at once is amazing!” Justin bellowed out followed by a dark chuckle as he took his third step onto that street, this one faster than the others. Then a fourth, and a fifth. The destruction left behind in each pawprint grew as he continued towards downtown. It wasn’t long before the buildings along the street were tall enough to impede his legs as he tried to swing one out to step down again. He didn’t even realize it at first as his paw shaved the top half of an apartment building off as it swung by. He paused his road-compacting stroll to spread a healthy helping of stomps around to the surrounding buildings. Destroying at least one with each impact. Not even the tougher structures stood a chance. As he ‘cleaned up’ the surrounding buildings, he noticed another supermarket, this one with an almost completely full parking lot. “Oooh, perfect! I’ve been looking for one of these!” Justin hurried over, not caring for who and what was crushed on the way as he stood right beside the full lot. He lifted just one paw up and hovered its toes over half the lot. Then, one at a time, he would drop a digit onto a few cars, then a few more, and so on until that half of the lot was nothing but wrecked vehicles and a few toeprints from his heavier digit-drops. The second half of the lot would catch his attention then as a few people tried to hop into their cars and flee. They wouldn’t get far though as he snuffed out each one with a THUMP from his other paw’s heel, turning each vehicle, and its driver, into a sticker. He would make a show of finishing off the rest of the parking lot though, making sure Bunson had a good view from behind as he set just his sole and toes down on one side of the unflattened section of the lot before slowly dragging that paw back. His sole steamrolled over everything left, smearing it into a long, dragged sole-print with a few crimson streaks from the unlucky few who tried to hide out in their cars. Bunson gulped and squirmed in place, feeling more and more hot and bothered by the second as Justin showed off. He would try to keep his cool and stay focused though. “Th-this is great for data, Justin! What’s next?” “Hmmm… I think it’s time I flatten downtown.” Justin turned towards the tallest of the city’s buildings, which only came up to his hips, and started in on not just a walk, but a march. He picked up his paws nice and high, his knees reaching almost up to his chest before he stomped down with nearly meteoric force. Every impact left a crater of a print behind and the impact made some of the buildings near each step fall in on themselves. The demolishing of the city around where Justin marched along was almost too quick for Bunson’s note-taking to keep up with. But the researcher didn’t miss any details. “Oh! I almost forgot to ask this, but uh… What does it feel like when you crush someone?” Justin stopped his marching mid stride, but finished that stomp before turning towards the Scorbunny. “It feels great! The rush of power, that comforting burst of warmth. And knowing that whoever you just splattered didn’t stand even a shadow of a chance against you. It’s the most domineering thing I can imagine and I love it!” He continued his marching stomps towards downtown while adding the tease. “But demolishing a whole city feels pretty nice too~” Bunson noted down his words with some speculations under them before returning to watching the gryphon romp his way along. He would be distracted by a distant object slowly moving towards Justin from the side though. Its speed marked it as a helicopter, or maybe a balloon? Finally, he was there, standing right beside the tallest few buildings. He looked at the largest of them with a smirk. He squatted down slightly and swung his hip into it. There was a puff of dust and a rumbling from where the big bird hit it, followed by a crash as the top half of the building fell to the ground, blocking off one of the main streets. “Hmph! Still so fragile, oh well.” He lifted up one leg with that same marching stance, guiding his paw over the remaining half of that high-rise before the heaviest stomp yet compacted it into rubble and dust. Justin underestimated just how much dust would fly though and found his vision filled with it for a moment. He waved it away, but as he did, his hand would catch a helicopter he hadn’t noticed and swat it aside, sending it crashing into the shortest of the larger buildings. As the dust cleared, he would spot the wrecked copter sticking out of the side of the high-rise and chuckle before giving the building a nonchalant shove, sending the whole thing toppling into another of the main streets four paths. There was just two more left, and they were positioned just right for a leaping stomp of his own. Justin leapt up with some help but his wings and came back down, each paw plowing into each ‘skyscraper’ from above and sending their roofs into the floors below before his paws crushed everything into an almost overly compact stack of rubble. He stepped off of the two tiny mounds that were once huge, to the city’s inhabitants, structures. “It’s been a while since I’ve tried that, I’m glad I didn’t miss! I might’ve squashed all the survivors stuck in town square earlier than I meant to~” He blocked off the remaining route of the main road with both paws as he loomed above the very center of the city. “Hey Bunson, do you have enough notes for now?” “Um, I… I think I do, yeah! Why?” “Come here, I want to teach you how to tease and crush tinies.” Bunson looked down to his notes, ears wilting slightly. “I-I’m not sure I can do that very well…” Justin looked to his friend with a scolding frown for a moment, followed by an encouraging smile. “Of course you can! You just have to have a little faith. Now come here and let’s share the fun.” The lab-coated Scorbunny hesitated for a moment, but would nod and carefully walk over with perked up ears, his clipboard and pen set on top of the supermarket he stopped beside earlier. All the notes taken and sights seen were well worth the cost of cultivating this shrunken city. Bunson would have to do it again sometime, maybe for some more fun experiments like this one.
