It was an odd idea, in Deirdre's opinion. The idea of an Easter special event itself wasn't the odd part, mind. But an Easter magic show? It was certainly an unusual choice, especially since she couldn't particularly see anything "Easter" about it. No eggs, let alone colored ones; no bunnies; heck, at the very least, the magician could have put on a bunny-eared headband. For what it was worth, though, it was a very well-done magic show. She had some knowledge of how magic tricks worked, so she expected to know how at least some of the magician’s tricks worked or at least have a bit of an idea, but each and every one of them left her without a clue how it might have been done. And as was vital for any good magic show, the magician certainly knew how to do his magic with style. Unfortunately, all good things had to come to an end. Now, the magician was at his final trick, but on the plus side, it would offer her an opportunity to be part of the show. “For my final trick…” the magician said, “I shall need an assistant!” Deirdre was all too eager to volunteer, holding up an arm to signal that she would be the volunteer. Perhaps in doing so, she might even get a hint as to how the magician’s magic worked. But of course, she wouldn’t reveal it even if she found out. Why ruin the magic, after all? “You there, come on up!” the magician said with a flourish. Quickly, not wishing to delay the show, Deirdre came up onto the stage, giving a wave as she ascended before looking toward the magician, waiting for some form of instruction. But instead, to her surprise, the magician took off his top hat, placing it atop her head. Immediately, Deirdre could tell that something was amiss, as there was an odd tingling sensation at the top of her head. It was not a bad feeling, but it was definitely unusual, quickly growing moreso. And then, she found the hat descending. It theoretically shouldn’t have been possible, as her head was larger around than the hat’s opening was. Her head should not have been able to even remotely fit inside, but nonetheless, it was somehow managing. Quickly, the hat blocked her view of the world. Once her head was halfway inside, she felt her ears quickly move to the top of her head, becoming longer and pointed. At this point, they definitely shouldn’t have been able to fit inside the hat while still pointed straight up, but nonetheless they were doing just that. The rest of her head was pulled inside just as quickly, giving her only enough time to give a surprised squeak. She felt her face being covered in short fur, her mouth and nose extending into a short muzzle as her two front teeth grew longer. But while her face and the rest of her head began growing fur, the long hair on her head was rapidly receding. She had worked quite hard on that hair, but the hat wasn’t giving her any time to dwell on it. The engulfing of her head was silly enough, but somehow, the hat was going lower still, pulling her shoulders inside with no difficulty at all. As the hat went lower and lower, so too did the fur growing on her, covering her chest, back, and upper arms and showing no signs of stopping. Then, once her hands were pulled inside, she felt them reshaping significantly as the fur grew on them, her hands becoming more like paws. There weren’t completely like traditional paws, though. She still had thumbs and her fingers were still at least somewhat finger-like, but they were definitely shorter and thicker, with cute little claws at the end, though those claws seemed too blunt to actually be able to do any damage. Her arms and torso seemed to be shortening as well, more appropriate for the cute, small build of a cute little creature rather than the tall, relatively thin figure of a human. The hat next engulfed her hips, at which point her shirt instantly seemed to vanish. She couldn’t see a thing inside the hat, but she definitely couldn’t feel her shirt anymore. What she could feel, though, was the growth of a tail. A very short, puffy tail. A tail so short and puffy that, combined with her other changes, she could easily figure out what was happening to her. She was becoming a cute little bunny being! Next to be engulfed were her legs. They, too, were covered in short fur, then began reshaping themselves, becoming more short and animal-like. Once her legs were fully inside, she couldn’t feel herself wearing any pants either, not that she needed them anymore. Nor did she find herself needing shoes, as they too vanished once pulled inside the hat, her feet elongating and growing fur, becoming cute hind paws. For a very brief moment, she felt as if she were floating in a void. But before she even had the chance to worry, she felt her hind paws touch the floor of the stage once more. The hat around her quickly lifted and the darkness around her was replaced with an awed, cheering crowd ahead of her. Now, she could see her cute pink nose and her white muzzle. She held up her forepaws, seeing that they too were white, while her arms were covered in light purple fur. Giving herself a quick look-over, it seemed that much of her small body was now covered in that same purple fur, while her muzzle, belly, puff-tail, and paws were white. From the looks of it, she was no more than a foot tall now. Next to her, the magician was taking a bow in his elegant style. A part of her wondered if he would turn her back to normal later. Another part of her, in turn, wondered why she would ever want him to do such a thing. She was so adorable, after all! She gave a cute twirl, then gazed out once more at the cheering crowd. This turned out to be an Easter special after all… and it had all been leading up to this most wonderful ending!
