Chat Log: Why Grandville?

GP: so, if i might ask  
Tahajin Grandville: Go ahead~! What's on your mind?  
GP: Grandville?  
Tahajin Grandville: The etymology? The reasoning behind it?  
GP: yeah  
Tahajin Grandville: 'Twas a mixture of inspiration from the original City of Heroes and the fact that I wanted a surname that sounds like it spawned from a linage of extraordinary individuals so I could expand upon the mythos down the line and incorporate both known personages and chimerical entities. Also, J.J. Grandville was also a French artist that had a penchant for metamorphosis and surrealism, as well as caricatures. Think of M.C. Esher/Salvador Dali if they did furries.

GP: ah

GP: makes me feel like a jackass XD  
Tahajin Grandville: How so? XD  
GP: i picked Salem cuz i like how it sounds

Tahajin Grandville: There's nothing wrong with that!  
Hell, that's what I did at first. Then I expounded upon it later down the line. X3  
Also, it's a little known fact that my middle name is Isaac - meaning my name folds up into 'Tig', which spawned the nickname 'Tigger'. Only one person uses it, though.  
Tahajin Grandville: PFFFH! It's even more relevant now than I have stripes. XD

Taha = Affable/Personable

Jin = Reference to the Djinn (or Genie)
