Walking down this cold dreary road, despair calling out and guiding me. Sharp and frigid winds hitting my soul, shivering from nameless fears. Below me the pit of souls cry, wanting freedom from their prison. They call to me offering false promises, of comfort and joy. Heart cold from constant abuse, scarred from hate and death. Soul battered from infinite fears, frayed and tattered shreads of hope remain. Darkness rising from the pit, black and cold as the night sky. Hands jumping out holding me down, searching for their prize of desire. Screaming out in horror, feeling their cold hands hold me down. Sharp claws tearing at me, searching for my heart and soul. Mind racing and heart beating fast, trying to escape their clutches. Paeans of sorrow calling to me, telling me their is no escape. My love burns small, making a home in my empty heart. Keeping the deep black darkness, for taking me as its own.
