Data transferred to Logbook for review -Zilloxian File \#021 "Xynrith" ALL ZILLOXIAN FILES MUST BE TRANSFERRED TO SEPARATE DATACENTERS. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN REDUCED RATIONS FOR A DECACYCLE. Subject ID: Subject \#021 Hatchdate: 2.43 cycles ago Gender: Male Status: ALERT: CONTAINMENT BREACH Subject \#021 is the creation of the new direction we are taking with Project Zilloxian. Previous infusions of organism DNA strands to Metroid eggs yielded less than desirable results. Humans captured from the Federation planet R-299 have been used to infuse the new eggs with various strands of Human DNA. Results so far are noticably better. Subject \#021 hatched with a Human-Like appearance(Ratio of Human-Like to Metroid-Like appearances in hatchlings is 67% to 33% respectively). Subject rapidly developed within half a cycle, but ceased to develop further, appearing locked in the physical state of a Young Adult Humanoid. Subject \#021 has fully developed Metroid inherited capabilities. -Physical Traits- Subject appears human-like, but lacks many prominent features. Subject's body appears androgynous(Scans of mental patterns determine it to be masculine in mind), however the head of Subject \#021 is mostly that of a Metroid though depressions for Human eyes as well as a protrusion for what would have been a nose developed before ceasing. Subject's human-like body lacks a true skeleton, however it has been observed to create a simulation of one with an ability that is yet to be understood creating a partial skeleton from highly concentrated energy(Note: This phenomenon has been observed in the majority of other Zilloxian subjects). This dense creation of energy, though appearing to lack the strength of true bones, is capable of rapid repair at the expense of energy. Subject contains no Human organs or tissues (Unlike Subjects \#046 and \#067), however does contain the nuclei, oral tissues, and mandibles of its Metroid base in its head. Subject, like all Zilloxians, seems to be mostly comprised of the gelatinous membrane of Metroids. --Tech-- Subject has been outfitted with our newest experimental Biomechanical Mask, via request of the suit tech division of Science Team. This mask covers most of the head from the front, with reinforced bands made from a blend of alloys along the sides and top of the Subject's head to assist in mask stability and extra protection (Though the nuclei are still distressingly vulnerable from the sides and back). Tests discovered the mask could still be dislodged with enough concussive force, and as of this update a supporting plate has been added to the base of the Subject's neck and along the shoulders. After many discarded prototypes, Science Team has developed a mask that will mimic the accursed Hunter's visor in most capabilities. Subject \#021 is capable of scanning information from its environment as well as detecting Thermal, X-Ray, and sound based signatures. We have further improved upon the mask by adding a microcomputer capable of storing, translating, as well as decrypting information. Science Team is currently at work on hacking capabilities. The masks' visor is outfitted with a small holoprojector capable of projecting images via the on-board computer. Subject \#021 has been observed frequently using this function to give its visor the appearance of having eyes or to express emotion. We have equipped a module for projecting sound that is also wired to the mask's computer, giving Subject the capability to speak in all downloaded languages. Subject \#021 has been observed using this infrequently, instead often resorting to the Metroid's cries that so chill our spines. Attempts at implanting further cybernetics into the subject have been successful (Note: Subjects are now required to be tranquilized with extreme cold temperatures before interaction, no exceptions.), and the subject now is capable of a prototype tech implanted in its hands that we believe will mimic the Metroid's capability to drain the mysterious "Life-energy" from targets upon contact. We have added our reverse-engineered Beam technology to the subject, having improved upon it since the bitter defeat of our test subjects on Tallon IV. Subjects are capable of launching a variety of Beam weaponry, however the weaponry used relies upon the energy the Subject has recently fed upon. Life-energy seems to power a mimic of the Hunter's "Power Beam". ---Capabilities--- Subject \#021 retains all of the abilities of a Metroid. Nearly impervious to all weaponry, it is vital for all researchers to carry emergency cold-based defenses. Contact with Subject \#021's mandibles or hands causes rapid drain of the victim's Life-energy. It has been observed however that the Subject does not grow larger despite amount of energy absorbed, but instead seems to have developed an ability or mutation that causes its membrane and skeleton to glow correlating to the energy absorbed. Subject's skeleton can be damaged by concussive force, though the energy required to rapidly repair this impairment has been observed to be low. Subject has learned to utilize an energy field to disrupt the tracking systems of missiles, though area-based blasts seem to still be a weakness. Subject has been observed capable of recreating its skeleton despite total destruction, though requiring time and feeding. Subject \#021 is similar to other Zilloxian Subjects to reproduce when exposed to massive amounts of beta rays or with others of its kind. How the latter happens, observations have been unable to determine. All specimens produced asexually by rays have been non-functioning, the reason for such is yet unknown. Subject \#021 is capable of rapid learning, seeming to possess Human-like intelligence. Scans indicated Subject's brainwaves to observe a capacity for curiosity not seen in other Zilloxian Subjects, deriving pleasure and excitement from new information or objects. After initial experiments Subject has been shown to utilize tactical reasoning on energy types and their uses, as well as avoiding absorbing cold-based energy. Subject has been observed attempting to utilize its visor and database capabilities with regularity, showing a growing symbiosis between it and the microcomputer. Though lacking in high-yield explosive or concussive based weaponry, Subject \#021 has attempted to utilize optional methods to achieve goals with varying degrees of success (These tests have also shown the Subject to perhaps contain a weakness of emotion, quickly becoming frustrated when no solution seems available). Observation of the files the Subject has created shows detailed data on many subjects, including a growing one of ourselves. What fear the wretched Federation shall know when we at last release our weapon upon them! Their secrets shall be ours for the taking! ----Mental Faculties---- Subject \#021 has been observed to have a developing mental pattern similar to both Metroids and Humans. Experiments show the subject to have a voracious curiosity, often gathering information the moment it is presented and a chilling interest in absorbing the same energy types from different sources. Subject has been observed showing a mental interpretation of "play" and the desire for such, often practicing this when no information is to be gathered (PLAYING WITH METROIDS OR ZILLOXIANS IS FORBIDDEN). Mischievousness, while uncommon, has been observed by some members of Science Team with intentional sabotaging for amusement. Subject interacts well with other Zilloxians, showing a display of kinship and teamwork when the creatures are at play as well as social roles. Subject \#021 has been observed to intereact with other organisms with a degree of social capability (Much unlike Subjects \#045 and \#137, whom have been observed to violently attack on sight regardless of the organism presented). Subject appears to be developing growing mental faculties of emotion, showing attachment to organisms when frequently presented with the same one as well as a growing aggression towards hostile organisms. Communications with the Subject display a degree of courteousness and cordial expression. A research assistant on duty recently spoke of Subject \#021 watching with unusual interest during his shift. More observations are needed to determine a possible pattern of hostility towards us.
