Diaster at the Hermosa Canina I looked at the clear sky as I traveled down the sidewalk in town square, admiring all the fancy buildings, lights, and the all-around jolly attitude of the place. I saw a few Pokemon out for the day, and I smiled inwardly as I observed their daily activities. A pair of Hitmonlee jogged down the sidewalk adjacent to the one I was currently on. A few Growlithe were playing at the park, two of them running away from one in a game of tag. I sighed contently, before finally reaching my destination. I walked inside Roco Valio's eatery, the bell signaling my entrance. The place was busy as usual, and I smiled at the receptionist and told her that I would like a lunch. The Gardevoir nodded, and came around and held down her hand. I placed the bill into it and walked over to a booth near the back of the restaurant. Roco himself came by a few minutes earlier, and I smiled. "How's the renovation going, Roco?" The Eevee straightened out his hat and bowed to me "Good, good. It should be finished within a couple of months... So are you here for lunch again?" I nodded, smiling "You know me, I never eat much so you guys always make money off of me. I still LOVE the food here... how do you guys run this joint when people only pay five bucks?" He smiled and touched his hat, snickering a little "I figured you'd eventually ask that. You see, we only charge five dollars so that people will tell others, and they will come and eat here too! Besides, we charge extra for each drink~" He gets a kind of smart look to him, which I simply frown at "You know... I've got a lot of money saved up, and was thinking of starting a business... Think I'd be able to run my own buffet?" He took on a serious expression and nodded "Of course, Nate. You'd have to find a building to do it in, hire cooks, dishwashers, maintenance, and hosts or hostesses, and of course make sure everything keeps on track. You also need to keep the kitchen highly stocked at all times, because you never know when a Snorlax might show up to dine. I don't think you'd have any trouble, but don't make the restaurant TOO close to mine... it'd be bad for business!" I nod and take my plate over to the buffets. There are four sizes: Tiny, Small, Average, and Huge. Each is made with a specific size range of customers in mind. I go over to the tiny one, that is just under my head's height, but is substantially longer and has the same food as the others. I grin and put several different items on there, being sure to avoid anything made out of meat. When I finish heaping my plate, I return to my table, I only eat about a fourth of the massive pile, however, and walk out after giving a dishwasher my plate. Over the next few days, as I sat alone in my home pondering what Roco had said, I started to look through the "for sale" adds. I saw a building that seemed big enough but wasn't too expensive. I went and looked at it. It was down the street from Roco's, but far enough to avoid causing him troubles. I bought the place, and immediately hired some maintenance people to work on it. It was about four days before the building was ready to be made into an eatery. I then had to hire a host, which was a very handsome Gengar, and some chefs, who all had prior experience with making food. I got them to work making the kitchen exactly how they wanted it as I set up the Buffet Shelves, using a fifth size for those who were too big for the average but smaller than the huge. After about a week and a half of work, The building was finally finished with preparations and ready to open. To advertise my business, I put up posters, bought space on a billboard, and even an add in the paper and on T.V. to get publicity. The last thing I did was to buy groceries. At the end, I only had about 150 dollars left. The day we opened, there were AT LEAST 200 customers, and each liked the great food, and my price of $10. I wanted to make it lower, but the amount of money I had didn't come CLOSE to the amount of groceries I would need. My friend, a Charmeleon named Askumi, was my last customer. I had invited him personally, and as he paid I led him to a booth near the back, which was close to a roaring fire. "I'm sorry I can't offer you a free meal, but I'd lose money..." Askumi rubbed my head with his claw, giggling "Not a problem. I think I'm going to enjoy myself!" He ate about four plates of food before leaving. At the end of the day, we had made about 2,200 dollars and some change. I went over to Roco's, and it turned out he would be closing the restaurant for a while to finish renovating the place. I smiled as he told me it would lose him money, but he knew the building needed an update. I smiled and hugged him before leaving, my eyes tearing up a bit that he would renovate despite having to lose business. A week after my All-You-Can-Eat-Buffet opened, I was getting so much money I couldn't believe it. I decided to call the Buffet "Hermosa Canina". It meant Beautiful Canine in Spanish, which I thought would be fitting since I was technically a canine and I ran the shop. My friends Bash and Shade came quite often, and would always have us restocking the buffet AT LEAST once before they were satisfied. I couldn't help but smile as they tucked into the massive piles of food they each obtained, swallowing down the contents with ease. I felt happy knowing that so many people loved the food and didn't mind the 10 dollar price for the food. I started to expand the store, adding another room. Unfortunately, there was no back entrance, and I couldn't afford to put one it. The reason for this was very sad. The back wall was unable to have a hole in it without rebuilding the entire thing, and I didn't want to attempt it. I would have to hope no one would need to get out the back way, or else they'd have trouble. A month after I had opened my shop, I had to keep the kitchen stocked, as well as two larders full of food. I never used it all, but I liked to be safe. Like Roco said, I would never know when a Snorlax showed up. Askumi became my star customer, coming at least twice a week and always eating his money's worth. I hated charging him, but I knew I couldn't give special favors. He would always compliment me and the chefs, and eventually I came out to greet him every time he came. He was easy enough to distinguish from the other Charmeleons: He wore a leather collar with spikes around his neck, and he was a very deep shade of red, much like that of a Charizard. He was always very polite, and would sometimes bring friends. One was a Charmeleon, one was a Kecleon, and one was a Munchlax. Every time he did they would pay the money and eat what they could. It made me very happy. One morning, I was showing up early to my show when I saw Roco cutting the ribbon in front of his Buffet. I strode over and patted his shoulder. "Done, are we?" He smirked and held open the door "We are. Come on inside and take a look!" *I walked in, and was immediately in awe of the place. Everything looked new... even the ceiling! I stood there, my mouth wide open, as Roco snickered "Like it? It took a LONG time but it was worth it. Since it is like the restaurant is new, I'm going to call this the "Grand Opening" to drum up even more business~" I hugged him and told him to let me be his first customer. As always, the food was terrific and I at only about a fourth of what I got. I headed out of the shop, and got back to mine. It wasn't all that busy in the morning, and during the afternoon we came to a standstill. I figured it was because all of the people that normally ate at Roco's were celebrating the re-opening, and I was happy that they could enjoy themselve there. Curious as to how Roco's day was going, I walked towards Roco's eatery, and as I got close to the door, I heard him shouting "This...this is highly irregular...I command you to stmmhph!" I looked inside to see an Eevee-sized bulge going down what looked to be like a red Snorlax's throat. I beat a quick retreat, not stopping until I reached my shop and slammed the door shut. "What in the name of Arceus just happened?!?" I yelled aloud as I panted, my chest rising and falling faster than ever before. The Gengar host floated up to me and asked me what was wrong. "I think a Snorlax just ate Roco!" He got wide-eyed, and said he would be at his post if I needed him. Slowly, cautiously, I opened the front door. Even from my door's spot I could see the massive Pokemon trying to squeeze through the doors. Finally, the Pokemon made it out, but had a burning tail and hindquarters protruding from his butt. I didn't know what was going on, but the Pokemon removed the tail and legs, and it was revealed to be a Charmeleon. I was instantly frightened, and closed down the shop for the rest of the day. The next day, I because wary. I would not allow any Charmeleons into the shop, and was also looking for the Red Snorlax I had seen who had eaten Roco. The Buffet had been closed off, and then shut down. I was panicked and was afraid of what would happen should the customer end up at my door. Things went smoothly for a week and a half. One day, The place became extra-ordinarily busy. Shade and Bash both showed up, as well a trio of Snorlax, all of normal color, who drained out a larder of our stores. This worried me some, but I knew that I could always tell the Red Snorlax, if it DID show up, that I would not be able to serve it that day. I had spoken to Askumi earlier, and he said he would be coming to the Buffet that evening with his Charmeleon friend. I sat and waited for the clock to read the time that Askumi had told me, and ten minutes before he had told me he would be arriving, I sat next to the Host's podium and waited for him to show up. Right on time, two Charmeleons walked in. I waited for them both to be able to bend down, and shook paws with them happily. "Welcome to the Hermosa Canina!" I said, smiling as though nothing was wrong despite have a great deal of fear. "I am glad you two could join us this evening. What is your name, sir?" I had pointed to the one not wearing the collar, knowing him to be Askumi. "My name is Chace, Mr..." I smiled and bowed "Nate. It's a pleasure that you accompanied your friend here to eat tonight!" I then noticed that Askumi was a lighter shade the normal. I looked him up and down, then asked him "Why are you so light? You never look like that..." Before the Charmeleon could respond, I figured it out. "It must be the lighting... " I again took on a big smile and nodded to them both. "I am thankful you two decided to come, and so I will allow you both to eat for 10 dollars!" Askumi gave their money to Gengar, and I nodded and smiled. "Right this way, I have the booth by the fireplace reserved especially for you two!" The two Charmeleons followed me to near the back of the restaurant, which was not very busy unlike other evenings. I smiled as they both sat down, and told them to let someone know if they needed anything. With a quick smile, I headed back to the kitchen, hoping that our guests would be happy. I ask a certain maintenance worker to watch the two Charmeleons to make sure they were happy with their meals. As I sat in the back waiting, I started to get a little edgy as fifteen, twenty, and then twenty-five minutes passed. Askumi usually never spent this long eating. He was usually done in about ten to fifteen minutes. Suddenly, a waiter rushed in, a serious expression on his face. "Sir... Askumi and his friend are here..." I went wide-eyed, and tried to form the words I wanted to say. "H-h-how is that p-possible? He already got here..." I immediately go into the dining area, and look towards the fireplace booth. My jaw drops as I see the Charmeleon I thought to be Askumi eating more and more food, his figure getting rounder and rounder. I suddenly realize that it wasn't a Red Snorlax, but HIM that had caused the fiasco at Roco's Buffet. Fearing for my life, I rushed back into the kitchen and went to the back. I sat in the back for several minutes, afraid to do much of anything. Suddenly, I realized that if this Charmeleon wasn't satisfied, It would spell a trip down his throat for me. I then yelled out to every cook in the kitchen, "Make as much food as you can as quick as you can. We have a Very Important Pokemon dining here tonight, and I want them to be full!" I then started to pace back and forth, my stress obvious on my face. Askumi had gone home for the evening, the last of the customers of the night. Many of the other workers had done the same, their shifts done. It was just the cooks, me, and the two Charmeleons. Just as I was starting to calm down, assuming we had enough food to last the entire night, a cook called out that the larder was half empty. Frightened, I went back out to the dining area. I saw the Charmeleon, but this time at four times his normal size. I gulped and went to the back corner of the kitchen, unsure of what would happen. The head chef updated everyone on the status of the larder, and the closer it got to being empty the more and more worried I became. It became a fourth, then an eighth, and finally a few servings. Finally, the larder was empty, and all we were able to use was the food available to us. I panicked, considering running from the Eatery and letting the Charmeleons eat someone else. I then realized that even though the huge one couldn't catch me, the smaller one would have no trouble. Confused and panicked, I had to watch the cooks use the last of the food, and waited to hear what was going on. A waiter, who had been refilling the buffet, said that the only one with any food left in it was the Average buffet. I whimpered, worried at how the Charmeleon was feeling. Ten minutes later, I received a report that the Charmeleon wanted to speak with me. Stammering, I replied, "Ask them if s-s-someone else could possibly t-t-talk to them about that!" The waiter shrugged and said "I don't know if it'll work, but I'll try..." I patted the Waiter's footpaw as he walked into the dining area and, at least I assumed, spoke with the Charmeleons. About five minutes after, he led the smaller one back into the kitchen. The smaller one looked down at me and told me, "Charem wanted to talk to you, Mr. Nate." I am taken aback by this address, but nod and reluctantly follow him towards the booth. As I get there, I see that the Charmeleon has gotten so big he has nearly broken the table the two were sitting at. Charem confronted me about the lack of food, which I explained as steadily as I could. "Well, you s-s-see, we had a busy day t-t-today. We only had about half our s-s-store of food left, and I didn't know you would be c-c-coming." I took a step back, afraid of what would happen. The Charmeleon smiled innocently, looking like he understood. "That's alright. I would just like a bit more food, then I'll go." I meeped as I stammered out my response. "That's the p-p-problem... it seems you a-a-ate it all." The Charmeleon narrowed his eyes, staring at me intently. "What do you mean?" I gulped hard and took another step backward, getting ready to run should it come to that. "We have n-n-no more food... we can go get s-s-some, but you'll have to w-w-wait for my cooks to finish it." The Charmeleon took on an angry expression, almost like he was trying to kill me with his stare. He got a determined look in his eyes. He looked down to Chace, and the words that came out of his mouth were, "Chace, get him." The other Charmeleon reached out for me, to which I responded by turning tail and rushing for the door. I got closer and closer, and just before I was able to reach it, My heart skipped a beat. The doorway I had made especially for me to get into and out of the restaurant had been sealed shut, and I realized they may have planned on this before even having ate this much, just in case Charem was unable to fill his stomach. I whimpered and shot to the left, heading towards the wider tables in the building with Chace right behind. Just then, my head chef, an anthro Arcanine, came out to see what the commotion was. He saw me being chased, and yelled out to leave me alone. As he started to walk forward, however, he was held back by a pudgy arm. Charem grinning at him "I think I just found more food, Eevee!" With a quick motion, Charem and picked up the head chef and crammed Arcanine's head into him massive maw. I cried out in surprise as he started to kick, but the only thing he succeeded in doing was sending himself in further. With a gulp, I saw the rest of him disappear into Charem's mouth, and an Arcanine-shaped bulge travel down his throat. I was tempted to stop, but I knew that should I attempt it, my fate was sealed. I rushed headlong towards the buffet carts. I rushed under them, almost smacking my head into the average height one as it barely came high enough off the ground. With a grunt I turned and took off for the kitchen, barely missing getting caught by Charem's now-massive footpaw. I ran into the back and hid in one of the pantries. Moments later, I could hear the various fire-type cooks asking what was happening. I then heard a nose that caused me to become fearful. I heard the sound of a wall shattering, and the wood and dust falling to the ground as Charem crashed into the kitchen, making a mess. As he looked around and saw the twenty or so cooks in the kitchen, a smile came to his face as he picked up the one nearest to him. Liking the Magmar's chest, he was immediately put in Charem's mouth the next moment. He struggled as Charem's massive tongue pushed against him, moving him this way and that. The other cooks tried to escape, but Chace had the only exit blocked. Everyone started to scatter, but as Charem swallowed the Magmar he started to get a bit more bold. A Blaziken was swallowed nearly whole, and a Charizard met his fate up the Charmeleon's tailhole. This made me grimace, but at the same time I thought about what was going on. The pair were successfully picking off my cooks one at a time, and once they were gone, they would turn their attention to me. I hope that the Charmeleon would not be hungry after eating my staff, and as more and more disappeared, I began to get more scared as it seemed he was not stopping. In the matter of a few short minutes, I had lost Twelve of my cooks to Charem's mouth, and Six to his tailhole. His stomach had gotten even bigger, and only an Infernape and Typhlosion were left. With ease, the Infernape was packed into his mouth, I saw his cheeks bulge and squirm as his tongue moved around, the cook getting soaked while struggling to be realized. At the same time, the Typhlosion was looking at Charem's tailhole. Charem then sat down, sending him on a one-way trip to Charem's massive stomach. Swallowing the Infernape, he patted his bulging belly. "Wow, were those guys filling!" Charem giggled and burped a little, looking around. "I think I ate them all. Now, Chace..." Chace looked up at him and asked what Charem wanted. Charem smirked and told him to find me and bring me to the now-huge Charmeleon. It was a surprise he could even fit in the kitchen anymore, much less out of the front door. With a nod, the much-smaller dragon started to search. I backed up into the shelving, trying to hide myself in the darkness. I waited for what felt like hours. No one entered, and I was thinking maybe they had left. Suddenly, I saw Chace's head poke around the corner and look around. He walked in and started to search the shelving, one thing at a time. I became increasingly worried, knowing it was only a matter of time before I was found. I stayed silent and hoped I would not be found, but as he got closer, I became even more frightened. He got even closer to me, and then as he was searching the selving above me, something fell on the ground and he started to look for it. After searching for about a minute with no avail, he blew fire out of his mouth, almost right into my fur. Paniced, I ran out into the kitched. I heard Chace yell, and turned to see where he was. I saw him a way behind me, and smiled as I turned around. If I could just make it to the door, I could escape. The pathway was clear, and I ran as fast as I could without overheating. Just as I was about to reach the kitche door, a large footpaw slammed down in front of me, shaking the floor and causing me to run right into it, making me dizzy. Charem's other footpaw rested on top of my body, easily covering me up. I had a slight weakness for musk, and held back the urge to sniff at the footpaw that was trapping me. "Now, Chace, would you be so kind as to give him to me?" Chace grinned as he lifted me up from the ground and handed me to Charem. Charem's face was the picture of bliss, and the way his eyes bored into me made me very afraid. He smirked and started to speak. "You are a very tricky and fast little Eevee. Those cooks of yours were delicious, and very filling..." He burped right into my face, which made me blanch as the smell of meat, plants, and vairous fire-types surrounded my head. "I'm almost full, but I could still use dessert. I'm going to love this... I haven't had Eevee for a month~" He opened his mouth and brought me towards it. In a panic, I begged him to reconsider and spare my life. He stopped and looked at me. "What's in it for me?" I looked at him and, with a serious face, said that I would not make him or Chace pay again if they let me go. Charem looked like he was thinking about it, which caused me to relax. Then, with no warning, I was placed right on Charem's extended tongue, and pulled back into his maw. His jaws shut, sealing my fate as his meal. I whimpered and tried to walk around, but after a couple of steps the tongue moved, causing me to fall flat on my face. Charem then began to taste me. He pushed me into his cheek, his tongue dancing over my stomach as I cried out and pleaded to be released. I was right in the path of his many sharp teeth, each one capable of tearing into plenty of food. He then pushed me into the roof of his mouth, my back forced into the ridges of the roof of the mouth while he once again licked at my front. Pain was sent shooting through me as the ridges pushed harder and harder. Suddenly, the tongue moved to the middle of the mouth as the air left and there were pulls on my skin and fur. I determined he was sucking the flavor from my skin, and once he was done, I would be the next visitor to his enormous stomach. A purr echoed around the maw as Charem spoke. "You taste wonderful, much better than any other Eevee I've ever eaten!" Suddenly, I was moved to the back of his mouth as a swallow pulls everyting near his throat downward. I cried out as I attach to the back of Charem's throat. He started to swallow multiple times, and after a while told me that two can play my game. I was curious as to what he meant, but the next minute a torrent of water pulled me from his tongue and onto the top of his throat. With a swallow, I was propelled downward as the muscles pulled me towards the stomach. Every tug pulled my tail, legs, and even my head down. It was like someone giving me a message from all sides, and the throat itself was a long, damp, wet tunnel. I whimpered as I finally reached the stomach's opening. With each push, the stomach opened and pulled a bit of me inside. After everything else had been dragged into the massive cave, my head and ears finally fell through and I landed in Charem's stomach. The overpowering smell of other pokemon came to my nose. I saw the massive amounts of food from our buffet: Salads, cheeses, pizza, chicken, macaroni, and many other different dishes were scattered throughuot his enormous gut. I meeped as I realized most of the cooks were passed out or sleeping, the heat unbearable. I continued to plead for my life, going to the wall of the stoamch and pushing on it, trying to recieve attention from my captor. Charem said, "What a great lunch, and an excellent Eevee dessert! I'm finally full~" Chace smiles at him, and asks what they should do. With a smile, Charem turns to Chace. "Let's go get some more to eat." He laughs as I feel Charem walking as best he can to the door. I yell out one more time. "Let me go! I'm begging you, please let me go..." The only response I got from Charem as a loud belch as the air rushed from his stomach. Seconds later, I started to feel light-headed from the lack of oxygen, and right before the digestion started, I passed out.
