Aliya lay in the grass, folded into a shuddering ball. She felt so betrayed, even though she knew she shouldn’t. She missed Terry, even though she barely knew her. She was very confused, no living person had ever made her feel this way, she had never been attracted to anyone when she was alive. Is this what love felt like? If so, it hurt. How long had she been hiding here? There was no way for her to tell but it must have been at least an hour. A couple of times she had seen other forms moving in the grass, but luckily they seemed relatively uninterested. She shuddered, the fact she couldn’t even feel her tears roll down her cheeks was such a discomfort. She missed feeling, it was always how she calmed herself down, but now she couldn’t even stim or apply pressure to herself to feel better. Almost as if on cue, she heard a snap, and suddenly she was overwhelmed with a cacophony of stimuli, her senses suddenly returning. Before she could understand what had happened to bring about these changes, she suddenly felt a warmth wrap around her. “I’m sorry.” “I-I…” Aliya shuddered. “T-Terry? You came back?” Terry nodded, her arms surrounding Aliya, wrapping around her like a snake. Her grip was tight and comforting, and her arms were soft, but wispy, almost like memory foam, it almost made Aliya want to explore what the rest of her felt like, almost. After a while, Aliya had calmed down, and Terry gently released her grip on the small soul. Aliya wiped the tears from her face, “But…why did you come back? You’re not sending me to The Great Beyond?” She asked, genuinely confused, noticing a faint, purplish blush creeping on Terry’s cheeks. “Well I-” Terry paused, trying to figure out how to properly articulate her thoughts. “I’ve made a decision…and I don’t really understand why I chose to do this but...something deep inside me is telling me that I cannot miss this opportunity.” “What do you m-mmfff!!!!” Aliya soon found her lips intertwined with Terry’s, what a death she has had so far, to be kissed by a God. Aliya relaxed, making small murring sounds as Terry wrapped her arms against her once more, pulling her closer and pressing her against her slightly pudgy body. Aliya soon got brave and slipped her tongue into Terry’s mouth, exploring it thoroughly. Terry gasped a bit, not expecting this, but soon reciprocated. After a while, their lips parted, and Terry sighed a bit. “I...I need you,” was all she managed to say. “Need me?” Aliya asked, wiping the saliva from her mouth. “Yes,” Terry stated, bluntly. “I need you to be my girlfriend. I cannot continue eternity without you by my side, despite not being human, something about you makes me feel similarly so.” She blushed. “But I cannot let anyone know, so from now on we need to take some precautions.” “Woah, woah, woah,” Aliya stated. “I never even said yes!” Terry looked at her, raising an eyebrow, “well I can tell you have it bad for me too, you didn’t run from the kiss.” Aliya laughed a bit, “Yeah, I’m just messing with you. Of course I’ll be your girlfriend!” Terry smiled softly, “Alright, so then...I guess you’ll have to be my little secret.” She seemed deep in thought. “So from now on, your name is no longer Aliya, only I will ever know that.” Aliya nodded as Terry continued to speak. “Your name is now soul number 255.”
