\[The room was bathed in the glow of the full moon that shined in through the gauze-like summer curtains. Seichi was standing in the middle of the room unmoving, his sapphire eyes staring off into space and a blank expression on his face. Ketseuki walked over to him, a pair of light bags filled with their most basic of belongings slung over his shoulder. He reached out to take his hand, gently pulling him towards the door; they had to get out of there before Kuremuri showed up.   "Sei-chan let's go, we have to hurry, or he'll catch us before we can get out of here!" "It's already too late, you little fool." Ketseuki turned to find Seichi's brother blocking their exit with a knife; they were trapped in his apartment now. 'Damn, how did he get here so fast? He was supposed to be out of town until tomorrow morning!'    "You'll never escape from me; Seichi is mine alone, there's no where you can go that I wouldn't find you!" A wicked laugh rang throughout the apartment and before either Seichi or Ketseuki could move, he had charged forward, and buried half the knife blade in Ketseuki's shoulder. Ketseuki fell to the floor, blood seeping from his wound and soaking into the fabric of his shirt. He tried to move, but a sharp pain shot through his shoulder where he had been stabbed; as he lay there fading into unconsciousness there was nothing he could do, but watch as Seichi was dragged out of the apartment.] Ketseuki jolted into a sitting position in his bed; it had been that dream again, the one of the night he had lost the most important person in his life. In had been ten years since that day, he hadn't been able to save Seichi and had never known what had happened to him. The anniversary of that day was coming up and recently the dream had been haunting him more and more frequently, as a result he had begun to engage in more and more one night stands in order to escape the dreams. He looked over at the man sleeping beside him; he hadn't bothered to get his name, it didn't really matter either, the man would be gone in the morning and they would never see each other again. That's the way he wanted it; if they didn't see each other again they couldn't fall in love, and he wouldn't have to loose someone he loved again. Ketseuki looked at his clock on his nightstand, the bright blue numbers read 5am, it was half an hour earlier than normal, but he decided to get up anyways. He reached over and switched off the alarm as he climbed out of bed and headed for the shower; glancing over his shoulder at the man he had spent the previous night with he decided there was no harm in letting him sleep a while longer. ------------------------------------- {Time skip} --------------------------------------- "...sai! Mr. Harasai!" "Yes? What is it Michal?" "Sir your brother is outside and insists on seeing you." "Ah, thank you Michal. You can let him in, and then bring me the files I need for today please." "Yes sir." Ketseuki sighed as he watched his secretary leave his office; hadn't his morning been rough enough already? The water heater wasn't working properly so he'd had a cold shower, last night's companion had turned out to be the type who was clingy the next morning, he'd not had time for breakfast, and had been late for work. What could his brother possibly want at this time on a Monday morning? "Hey bro, what's up, you daydreaming again? Or are you trying to forget something?" Danial walked around his brother's desk and sat on the corner of it. "That's none of your concern Danial, now what do you want today?" "Mom asked me to stop by and check on you, she was wondering if you were going to come home for your vacation next week. She said that if you are she'll air your room out for you." "I believe I told her I was, several times in fact. She asks every time she calls, and she calls every day. Now is there anything else you need or are you just going to sit on my desk all day?" Ketseuki watched as his brother grinned and leaned back on his desk "I thought I might just sit here a while, your desk is just so comfortable." Ketseuki glared at his brother and shoved him off the desk. "If that's all you wanted then get out of here so I can get my work done!" Danial rubbed the back of his head and pouting as he picked himself up off the floor. "You're so cruel Kessu-tan! Did you really have to shove me off the desk?" Ketseuki winced at his brother's use of his pet name. "I told you not to use that name, especially in front of my employees!" "Hmm, what employees, There are no employees in…?" He watched as his brothers' hand rose to point behind him; when he turned around he came face to face with His brothers' young secretary Michal, who was standing by the door trying not to laugh. "Oh! Well Hi there Michal, how long have you been standing there?" "Long enough to know that you're still too playful for your own good sir" Michal walked over to the desk and handed one of the stacks of documents to Ketseuki and laid the other in the tray for unsigned proposals. "These are the documents for the meeting this afternoon, and those are the proposals that need your approval. You have a conference call with the branch office in 30 minutes, would you like to have your lunch brought into the office at noon or would you like me to have the car brought around to take you out?" Ketseuki thought for a moment…'there's no way of knowing how long that idiot manager at the branch office will take to make his report…' "Let's wait and see; if I'm still on the call with the branch office at 11:30 then I'll have it in the office." "Ye..." Michal paused as he felt Danial's arm wrap across his shoulders and his breath against the side of his face as he whispered in his ear. "Uptight as usual I see." Michal blushed slightly and slipped silently from under Danial's arm; "Yes sir, I'll check with you again later then." "That will be all for now, you can return to your desk." Ketseuki turned to his brother next as Michal quickly walked from the room. "And as for you! Stop harassing my secretary every time you come here. I'm very busy as you can see, so if there's nothing else then would you kindly leave now?" "Yes yes brother, I'll see you next week then." Ketseuki leaned back in his chair watching as his brother walked slowly to the door chuckling to himself, a wide grin spreading across his face. Just as he was about to close the door behind him Danial stopped and turned around, snapping his fingers, his grin growing wider by the second. "Oh yah...and you really should get yourself a lover there Kessu-tan; maybe you won't be so grumpy all the time." That was the last straw; Ketseuki picked up the paper weight that was sitting on his desk and threw it at his brother, who ducked and shut the door just in time to avoid being hit by it. Michal heard the door close followed by a crash, looking up from his work he saw Danial walking towards him with a Cheshire cat grin on his face. "I see you're still can't take a hint sir. Always causing trouble for others when you come here, what sort of mess did you leave for me in your brother's office this time?" Danial clutched his chest in mock agony grinning from ear to ear and laughing; "You wound me Michal, more than that paper weight would have. When are you going to take a hint from me huh? I think the two of you would miss me if I stopped coming around, you especially." "We certainly would not. There's far too much work to be done, if you were to stop coming to the office in the middle of the work day we could finish on time instead of having to work late every day. Besides, aren't you supposed to be in the shop working? I don't know how you manage to keep that shop open when you hardly ever go in, you should at least go supervise your employees instead of spending so much of your time here." He glanced up from his work briefly, shaking his head and continued his work on the report he was typing, not noticing as Danial walked around the desk to stand close behind him; "Aw now Michal, when are you going to stop lying to yourself? We both know you like me; even my brother sees how you blush when I get close to you." Michal jumped in his seat as he heard Danial whispering in his ear again, the heat rushing to his face as he felt Danial's arms wrapping around him, his hands straying down his chest. "Wa…wait, where are you touching? Now Danial let go of me right now, or I'll call security!" Danial's hands paused momentarily before continuing with their path down the younger man's chest as he nibbled at his ear; "You wouldn't really do that to me would you Michal?" "No But I would!" Danial looked up to see his brother standing by the door to his office, a menacing expression on his face. "Quit sexually harassing my secretary and get out of here now, or I'll call security myself and have you permanently banned from my office." Danial let go of Michal, His grin growing unbelievably wide, his hands raised in front of himself as a shield against his brother; "Alright, alright I'm going; I wouldn't want to be banned after all. I'll see you again next time Michal." He quickly planted a kiss on the younger man's head and fled to the elevator before his brother or his secretary had time to process what he had done. Ketseuki glanced at his secretary "Michal, don't let him get away with doing that every time he comes here! He's like an overgrown child, you have to be firm with him or he'll walk all over you!" With that he returned to his office, slamming the door behind him.
