Solaxe Warmup Story Thing A tremor shuddered through the kangaroo’s bed as he woke up. Throwing the blanket free from his body, Solaxe yawned and scratched himself idly. Weekend time. No work, no plans with friends, just a day to himself. First he would need some coffee though. The bed trembled with each creaking move the marsupial made to get up. This was no ordinary bed; specially made by Solaxe’s own hand through a little magical and technological trickery. All the blankets on his bed were covered with continents, and dotted with little cities almost too tiny to be seen by the naked eye. Not many knew he even owned this bed. Even fewer were close enough to ask where he’d come across it. And no one knew the actual answer, save for Sol. As he shifted his weight lights turned on throughout the cities in his shadow. Their days and nights were decided by where the kangaroo rested. And as he rolled off the bed and placed his feet on the floor he barely registered something cracking under his toes. Sol was too exhausted to care though. Not like he’d be able to put the planet he’d smooshed back together anyway. Off to the kitchen. The kangaroo’s home was a treasure trove of shrunken items. Cars, cities, micro furs, a planet or two… Once he’d woken up the roo might have a little more fun with them. The coffee pot was already brewing but Sol couldn’t actually remember walking into the kitchen or getting the water. He figured it was just the slumber still affecting him. After a patient wait of a few minutes, Sol had his cup of liquid caffeine. He slurped it greedily. Inside the cup, a micro swam away frantically from the enormous mouth. He’d tried to get some coffee this morning; most days if he was quick about it he could get a drink before Sol woke up. But today was not his lucky day. And Solaxe was too exhausted to notice the small creature until he was already in his mouth and gulped straight down. His eyes bulged when he felt the micro bulge in his throat. “Bleh. Old coffee. Tastes funny, like something was in it,” he muttered and started to brew up another pot. Yup. Nothing out of the ordinary at all.
