Myth of Ebb, Rising Tide Written by Septia. Far above, in the Peaks beyond air, lies a palace, within which the god among embodiments: Muwunu. Within the palace resides none but Muwunu, anyone that has been granted an audience with the god, and Muwunu's two daughters: Weichi and Wenidi. These princesses are the god's eyes to the outside world, blooming from when Muwunu planted their eyes in the body of an ancientwhale. Weichi and Wenidi's forms are the fairest to any mortal or divine gaze, for it is said that they moulded one another, as their primordial clay was still soft, with Muwunu's vision guiding them. And yet, Muwunu is the only being who cannot witness them, for in the place of visages lay now pristine mirrors, forged by the artisan oknytt, so that anyone who bears an audience with the deity may bask in their own image, for it is Muwunu's decree that anyone can lie, but who could lie to themselves? The palace itself is sculpted from the skull of the titan Pangea, the mightiest of titans Muwunu ascended. Muwunu's palace holds four rooms: The main hall is at the front of the cranium, the grandest room of them all, for therein lies Muwunu's throne, sculpted from [redacted]'s very shell, the clam at the edge of reality, its shell perpetually open, and the seat moulded of scintillate pearl. Weichi and Wenidi each hold each a chamber beneath the throne room, for even a god must at times shut his eyes. And then, behind the throne, at the back of the skull, lies Muwunu's chamber, beyond its gates hath no eyes but his ever graced. Even the princesses know little, though they have spoken of long sighs and snores behind the walls. The ears of the giant palace are sculpted into balconies, one side each for the princesses to wander and lay witness to the world beneath, with the dawning of the sun they stand ready and unfold their tails to a plumage of feathers, each one feather etched with an eye whose vision sweeps across the realm, they say the princesses prefer dawn, for then their brilliant beauty is outshone by the sol star, and they risk not blind any beings below. We have Muwunu to thank for order and godhood, the safety from the horrors in the sea weaved of void. For without their presence all beings exiled in the ever churning waters would be upon us. Yet, do not think yourselves safe. The depths and seas are locked in conflict, for despite Muwunu's eternal goodness holding them at bay, the ocean lay ever vast. Thus, we give thanks to Muwunu, for order, protection, and peace. ~ Beginning ~ Wenidi gave out a warm sigh, the one breath in the Peaks Beyond air, clutching her palms over her chest in joy as, “Oooh, please, show me what you have all been up to,” she hummed to herself. Her plumage flared and unfolded behind her, and at once she was flooded with sensation and vision of the realm from one edge to the next. Omnipresence was all too much for one being to handle, which is why she was glad to have her sister to share the burden. Together they saw everything, all from the very same spot. Every day, every month, every year, the very same spot. Why would they ever need to move if they saw, everything? It was… pointless. Wenidi's thoughts were interrupted by a voice, its tones drooping in black bile so that for a moment her feathers ruffled, and she lost view of the entirety. “What, do, you, want?” she said with practiced dismissal, “I should turn a blind eye to you regardless of your wishes.” And yet, she was a fair being, and gave the voice an audience. “Oh? Oooh? but… that,” a smile found its place over the princess's lips, “wonderful news. Of course, you may, I am certain Muwunu will be overjoyed.” ~ 1 ~ “You did what?” Weichi asked, her plumage rattling in confusion. “You did what?” Muwunu echoed from apot their throne, standing up so specks of pearlescent flecked from his feathered form. Wenidi’s fingers shuffled in place, keeping them busy, “Isn't this a good thing?” “Sister, do you not think it is absurd that an arch deity from the depths of the sea weaved of void would suddenly turn over a new feather and be kind?” Weichi wondered. “I did not,” she said with confidence, “at all,” then with less confidence, “Actually…," then none at all. Muwunu sighed. Weichi was the embodiment of their forethought, Wenidi their afterthought, both crucial for wisdom to develop, and yet… “Did you grant them an audience with me? “Could we expect them to arrive any day?” Wenidi shook her head, so hard that her sculpted features shifted, but snapped back to perfection in an instant. “Oh o-of course n-n…” Then… a guttural boil boomed, the clacks of shells and slithering of membrane came to mimic an approbation of the phrase: “Who awaits me at the peak of the world?” Wenidi 's plumage unfurled in embarrassment. “I granted her an audience with you today.” The jaws of the palace swung open, and from the inclined hallway one could not see what strode through the opening, until the first indigo tendril crawled over the cranial marble. With it followed a brigade of tentacles followed by a, plump, thin, searching, investigating, sprawling as the mass rose higher, ascending to the grand throne chamber. The princess saw it raise as a mass of formless scales with portentous intent, a cluster that roved to form one cohesive whole of chaos. It was as if the depths themselves had forged an adorn, a projection of the generous state of the infinite reaches of the bottom of the sea weaved of void. Wenidi and Weichi stood by each side of the chamber, kind and inviting, through could feel each others nerves being on edge. The princesses stood with the grace of calm that was expected of a deity, yet their feathers quivered, and all eyes laid squarely on the being before them. Their true vision coercing them to experience every inch of the being in impeccable detail, and yet each moment it all shifted, they saw everything the rising creature was, its true form every moment, but each moment was lost to the next, and the next, and the next… At this moment, the omniscient princess, was the closest they have ever been, to share in Muwunu's blindness. “Phidel,” Muwunu spoke, “I hesitate to allow you presence and sharing an audience, I trust you have good reason for me not to banish you from my sight?” “Oh course,” came a boil of mucus and foam as a response, I wish only to-.” “Have some grace before you speak in audience of my daughters.” “… as requested.” The voice responded -Shhrrllgpgsts- Tentacles and scales converged, the melange of motions halting as the flesh stitched itself together, coiled and morphed into a husk that filled into a body. The merging mass congealing to a form fractions of its true size, and still standing tall above Muwunu. Muwunu gestured to his daughters, and they folded together their plumage with a zip, Bereft of the true sight, they now witnessed a biracial being stand. Polished lilac and onyx skin decorated in pale spots moulded along the membrane. A torso, body, and head, from which crowned a frill of tentacles, and more of them stretched form the back of her being and tail fin. She was kneeling in respect, her face in the ground, which she gracefully lifted, unveiling a smile that watched Muwunu. “I'd, mm, despise being unseemly in front of my nieces,” Phidel spoke, a faint foaming at the back of her throat, and a glint in her eye the same as the moon'sreflection in an autumn ocean. “That is suitable, however…” Muwunu huffed and made a gesture towards the chest area. Phidel peered back down, seeing how her cleavage spilled forth in a pair of breasts bobbing against the marbled floor, hanging thick and plump as satchels of thickened cream. “All my apologies,” Phidel cooed and straigtened up, wrapping her arms deliberately around her chest, so she clutched a swelling mound of boobage in her grasp, leaving the breast bobbing as jelly, “I can only do mms, so much, to contain my form, I am certain your daughters do not mind, I am still, presentable, aren't I?” Muwunu's expression furrowed. Weichi and Wenidi's vision locked at her crotch, with her breasts out of the way the trunk of a beasthood was freed to slump against the floor, twitching in liquid girth. Phidel peeked down, “What? Did I drop a tentacle, it is hard to see past my,” she say and bobbed her chest together, “modest assets.” Muwunu said nothing. Phidel rose, her extremities somewhat diminished. “I have always been confounded how much you emphasis your place on the flesh, it is almfmsm, natural, is it not? Should your daughters grow up so sheltered they have not even witnessed a cock?” she said, stretching so it flopped into vision, an arm and tendrils detaching and roving to rub down along it. “Are you really keeping them that sheltered?” a single sweat drop formed on Weichi's forehead as her eyes trailed along the member. Muwunu's eyelids closed. “There is wisdom in your sentiment, and as my guest, I wish you to be feel welcome.” “See, you can be reasoned with,” Phidel said, hand withdrawing, but tendrils still cradling over her shaft. “The others down the depths branded me a fool for having hope, and yet, here I am, an audience with the most trustworthy and grand of gods, and within moments you have even displayed your will to compensate for the good of all. Muwunu remained placid in their throne. “As I strive to be. Tell me, what brings you to my audience?” “Oh? Have your dolls not told you yet?” Seeing what you did with your eyes I would be surprised if you buried your dick in a mud pit somewhere in hopes it would grow to a sprawling dick tree.” There was a silence, filled only by the moist, mindless jerks from Phidel's tendrils. “Because, I wish to negotiate, and end the hostilities, I wish the war between us, to come to an end.” ~ 2 ~ Silence constrict the throne chamber. Phidel merely stood, an arm held wedged between her breasts, holding where a heart should be, smiling. “See? That is what she told me,” Wenidi said, partaking in Phidel's smile. Muwunu contemplated this. The past month activities and devastation from the sea weaved of voice had diminished, yet it was quite a step to place his trust in her. “With your record as a forerunner of the depths, it is hard to believe.” “You kept a record too?” Phidel asked, sly expression coupled with a genuine tone. “What made you arrive at this decision?” Phidel brushed her tendril packed scalp back. “Surely, you recall the times after Gor's Meteor, how peaceful it all was?” “Until the fracture,” Muwunu added. “Everyone has their differences, we simply wish to not be banished for it anymore.” “It has not been true peace, and with your actions during Jantemould, I still have my doubts you would want it either.” “Oh, by Muwunu,” Phidel said, taking another step before falling to one knee, “I can see the realms in peace before in my mind’s eyes’, is it not… beautiful?” Is it not beautiful?” Weichi and Wenidi shifted along the edge of the curved chamber to stand by the sides of the entrance, exchanging glances of wonderment hearing about the two deities discuss times gone by with far more civility than presented. Wenidi infectious smile affecting Weichi as well. In celestial terms the princesses were young, and most of the words between Muwunu and Phidel were a soup of names and actions, in turn weaving a grandeur over the conversation which they could barely grasp. “You were on the side for Tyrozi's emergence,” Muwunu noted. “I was, but can you blame me? She’s quite adorable, and she didn't end up causing much of a ruckus, did she?” Muwudu smiled. His reflective eyes showing Phidel her true self, and yet she was, cordial. And then, there is the matter of…” Phidel began, then peered behind herself, seeing the princesses with their plumage spread at the end of the hall. “Mmm, my biggest, most cordial apologies,” she said with a bow that let tentacles drape down her face, “but these are grand matters, are they not?” “Some of the grandest,” Muwunu agreed. “And I am, mm, uncomfortable, writhing under my skin, doing it in, c… company.” The 'p' annunciated enough that a bubble floated from Phidel's lips. Muwunu peered at his daughters, Then shut his eyelids, and grabbed the glimmering armrests of pearl. They rose, stature swelling, reaching up just a smidgen above Phidel's bosom. “Weichi, Wenidi. Phidel and I will retreat to my chambers to settle the details of our agreement.” “By the time we come out,” Phidel turned her head completely around on her shoulders to watch them, and flashed them a beaming smile, “The war will have come to an end.” The two princesses smiled, though Weichi's brow furrowed as the gods strode behind the throne. “Oh and… proper privacy, mm, don't you,” Phidel said, tendrils forming a sunfeather behind her back mimicking the princesses's plumage. “Agree?” she said and snapped the tendrils together. Muwunu nodded. They gestured to them before they turned to open the gate. Phidel peered at the two, who remained still. Phidel’s smile spread cheek to cheek, little tentacles slithering between her teeth. Wenidi zapped her plumage together. “Good doll,” Phidel encouraged. After another few moments, Weichi followed suit. The last few tendrils slithered in through the crack in the gate, and the room fell silent. The silence wrapped another loop of its constricting hold on the chamber. “Is this not wonderful?” “Mmm, it is,” Weichi responded, the two sitting in the middle of the room, still on one side, still waiting. “It has been a while now.” “There must be much to discuss, I imagine. We wouldst have to spend so long staring into the sea weaved of void. If it falls to our domain in their peace treaty, I would expect we would have to gaze into it far more.” “Oooh dear…” “You could use a bit of forethought,” Weichi teased and reached out to touch Wenidi's features, smoothing out the clay warm cheek to a pristine bend. Wenidi did the same, the clay the two of them had sculpted each other from, had yet to set completely.
