Bill stared at the clock on the car while he waited in an empty driveway a few cars down. The time read five minutes to seven. Normally the cheetah would not care for the details as small as a few minutes but this time he had a few certain plans. The clock turned another minute and Bill glanced down to his tux, making sure it was fine. Without any other reason to delay Bill drove into the driveway of Jason's living and grabbed the final two pieces of his outfit. Bill knocked on the door and waited with a smile. A few moments later, the spotted canine opened the door in simple slacks and a nice white shirt underneath a black button up shirt. Jason's brow rose when he saw Bill's outfit but the cheetah's grin persisted. "Bill why do you have a cane?" Jason asked with amusement. Bill looked at the cane in his hand, and then looked up to his top hat before shrugging. "For the effect of it all, now monsieur your chariot awaits." Bill said with a smile. The feline bowed to the side with his hand pointing to the car with an open palm. Jason smirked at the display and patted his pocket before going down the steps. Bill stood up and followed suit, both young men getting into the car. Bill placed the top hat and cane in the back of the car and wondered if they were just a tad too much. The crystal blue eyes met Jason's chocolate eyes and the cheetah's smile grew a tiny bit. Bill switched the car into reverse and drove off. Jason looked out the widow calmly, and Bill glanced over from the corner of his eye to try and read the spotted dogs expression. The cheetah turned the car into a driveway after only a few minutes of driving with Jason's brow scrunched in confusion. "Why are we stopping? Jason questioned. Bill smiled and got out of the car, grabbing his hat and cane. Jason also got out but repeated the question. "Because this is where dinner is." Bill said with a bright smile. Jason followed suit behind Bill with a smile on his face at the oddity of Bill's over exuberance. The spotted canine walked up to Bill and hooked his arm with the cheetah's getting a purr from the feline. "No homemade meal?" Jason questioned with a cute and fake pout. Bill chuckled and with his cane pushed open the door to the smalltime diner. "Home cooked dinner is date three at least." Bill said. The pair laughed and walked in. The diner had a small counter where the cash register rested that gave the host or hostess easy access to move around and get people seated. Behind the counter stood a female otter in traditional work clothing with a bright smile on her face. Her closed eyes met the smile, showed that shift in light caught her off guard. "Hello and welcome to Bear's Stop." The otter said with the same smile her eyes opening. She looked at Bill who was smirking largely at the otter. In return the otter's face turned to amused confusion. "Well, well, well, what do we have here? Spots did you find a new boy? "The otter spoke confidently and her every word held amusement. She got out from behind the counter and stood next to Jason. The Dalmatian blushed as the otter sized him up. She stood a few inches shorter than the canine yet the blushing Dalmatian looked as if the otter could topple him without even trying. "And by his looks he is such a cutie. Better play nice with him Spots or I may just whip him straight and steal him from you." The otter girl said with a grin as her finger traced Jason's chest. Jason meanwhile blushed a much deeper shade of red. Bill rolled his eyes and sighed, his expression still slight amusement. "Annie I'd prefer if you leave Jason alone. Bill said. Annie the otter's purple eyes shone with intrigue at the word choice and she moved over to the tall cheetah. Her finger once more reached for a male's chest, tracing over Bill's heart. "Jason? Not 'get off my boyfriend?' So you didn't bring him by to get my approval?" Annie asked sweetly in a slow and enticing tone. A cough from window of the kitchen showed that the otter girl had gotten the attention of her other co workers. "No Annie I didn't. In fact I came here to eat. Such a shocker I know." Bill said with more amusement in his tone. Annie sighed in defeat at the reveal of his intentions for the evening and grabbed two menus. "Spots, just once I wish you would let my fantasies be true." Annie said with a defeated sigh before the trio walked over to a free table. "Here you two are. Terry will be with you in a few." Annie said as she placed down the menus on the table and the two young men sat down. When Annie walked away Jason chuckled a tiny bit, his blush slowly fading. "So what was with her? " Jason asked, his voice still filled with a chuckle. Bill stroked his chin as he thought for just the right words that were needed to describe it all. "She is Annie, a friend of mine." Bill said simply, hoping that the brief description helped. Jason nodded and chuckled. "Are all your friends so odd?" Jason asked his smile bright. Bill glanced at the menu before his gaze shifted back to the Dalmatian. "All my friends, asks the one who has friends that decided some alone time was better than a movie AFTER we already got there. " Bill quipped back. Jason's eyes averted the feline's gaze and his blush returned. "Hey I didn't know they were going to do that." Jason said. A grey rabbit boy with a rather thin build that put Levi to shame walked over to the table. His hips swayed as he walked, though his attire told anyone that he worked there. "Do what? I do love to hear a juicy story." The rabbit said with a higher pitched voice than most adult males. Bill rolled his eyes as the rabbit pulled out a notepad and spoke again. "I even could write all the details. Or take your order, whichever you like cutie." The rabbit said as he stood over Jason with mischief and trouble in his eyes. The cheetah was either ignored or simply not noticed by the rabbit and when the cheetah coughed the rabbit turned his head. "It'd be great if you took our order Terry." The rabbit's expression changed to momentary surprise before switching right back to mischief. "Well of course Spots. After all, the paying customer gets what he wants. You two decided yet?" Terry the rabbit said with a smile. Jason glanced over the menu and Bill ordered a chicken salad with Bill choosing a hamburger with fries. Terry wrote the orders on his little note pad and walked away. Jason gave Bill a quizzing expression once Terry was out of ear shot. "Hmm that's two workers that know you. Any reason you picked this spot?" Jason asked with a smirk. Bill kept the smirk as well as he replied. "I liked the food and I get a ten percent discount for working here." Bill said with a smile. Jason's eyebrow rose and he smirked. "That is a good reason." Jason said with a smirk. "Indeed it is." Jason replied. The spotted canine's gaze looked over the simple and home like diner and then back onto the cheetah's over dressed outfit. "Aren't you a bit over dressed for this place though?" Jason asked. "Only if I wore a monocle." Bill replied. "After all then I'm a prime example of the higher rich class. Or something like that." Bill added, his face still wearing a pleasant smile. Jason laughed in return and Terry came back into view. The grey rabbit held a trey with a chicken salad as well as a trey of chicken fingers. The men sitting down both looked in confusion as he placed the chicken fingers before them. "On the house sweeties. " Terry said with a bright smile. He turned to Jason and write something down before speaking again. "Sorry but your food is still cooking sweetie. Also I forgot to ask what you two hotties wanted to drink, so anything you'd like." Terry said his smile still as bright as the morning sun. Jason blushed slightly but Bill just rolled his eyes. "I'll have some lemon tea." Bill said quickly not even needing to glance at the menu. Jason meanwhile read over the selection a few times before coming to a choice. "I'll have the strawberry fruit punch drink." Jason said shyly. Terry smiled and took their menus away. "Excellent choices both of you. I'll be right back with your meal and drinks." The rabbit said and he scurried away with his hypnotic hips swaying back and forth. Jason blushed slightly and returned his gaze back to Jason. "Is he always like that?" Jason whispered. Bill nodded and smirked. "Oh yea he is, though he gets much worse. Never be around him drunk or else you might have to beat him off with a stick as he tries to get to yours." Bill said with a chuckle. Jason's expression was not one of amusement at such a joke. Bill cleared his throat and chuckled nervously. Jason took a bite of the chicken finger and his expression once more changed. Bill smirked as he guessed the canine was hearing an angelic choir in his head judging by the blissful expression on his face. "See why I like it here?" Bill asked. The spotted canine nodded, still caught in the expression of pure bliss as he chewed on more of the chicken finger. Bill chuckled again. "Keith is a really good cook. I learned a lot of what I know about cooking from him in the first few years I worked here." Bill said. Jason finished the wonderful meat and spoke. "So you've been here awhile?" The spotted canine asked softly. Bill nodded as he answered. "Yea I worked here five years. How about you? Where do you work at? " The cheetah questioned. Bill looked away at the window for a moment before returning his gaze onto Bill. "A few odd jobs at the campus and a tutor. That's about it. Work study isn't much but it helps quite a bit. The bills gotta be paid somehow right?" Jason said with a smile. Bill returned that smile and quickly grabbed one of the chicken fingers before the Dalmatian devoured them all. Terry once more appeared with the duo's drinks in hand as well as the hamburger for the spotted dog. "I've got your food and your bill Sweeties. So I'll just leave this with mister hot stuff here." Terry said as he placed the bill in front of Bill. The rabbit gave Bill a big wink and walked away. The cheetah rolled his eyes. "Guess he really doesn't know how to be subtle." Jason muttered, and Bill nodded in agreement. Bill took a few bites of his salad and purred at the well seasoned and perfectly prepared chicken. It reminded the cheetah he had to ask Keith for some new recipes. Maybe Jason would like a cake. A few other thoughts trailed through the wild feline's mind till one was verbalized. "What kind of things do you tutor?" Bill asked. "Math and history mostly. I'm good at remembering things so it's subjects like that are easy." Jason said with a nod. Bill thought it over. "I'll have to keep that in mind if my math class ever gets too hard." Bill said with a smile. Jason smiled back and then the spotted canine turned the conversation around. "How about here? What do you do?" Jason asked with a smile. Bill glanced over at the kitchen window where a streak of red fur could be seen. The cheetah pointed at the kitchen and spoke confidently. "Like I said, Keith taught me how to cook. I work here as an assistant chief when I'm not a waiter. There's only a small number of hired on staff so many of us do double jobs when someone has the day off. " Bill said. The spotted canine's face turned slightly red from what Bill guessed was from not listening before. However the blush faded away as Jason realized something. "Wait... Why are there so few workers?" Jason asked. Bill smiled at the Dalmatian catching that detail. "Boss Bear's rule is that if he can't name every employee he has, he has too many. Because of that most of learned another job or two here to make sure any post is covered." Bill said, with Jason's expression in slight disbelief. "Wow I'm not sure if I should be impressed or worried." Jason said, the disbelief still on his face. "Nah we are all very well trained. And maybe later this week I'll show you some of the things I learned here." Bill said with a wink and a grin. Jason blushed deeply at the joke and judging by his deep red blush the canine had many things run through his head. Bill's smile grew highly amused and the two chatted away while they ate. "Ready to go?" Bill asked as the two empty plates stared at the males. Jason nodded and stood up. His hand reached into his pocket but Bill already had his own wallet out. "I'll get the bill tonight. Like I said I get a discount. "Bill said. Jason's expression showed some disagreement but he didn't word any complaint as he stood. The two went back to the counter where Annie was handing Terry a few menus and a group followed the rabbit. When Annie saw the young men come over to her the expression on her face changed into a pout. "You boys leaving so soon?" Annie said as the pout remained on her features. Her purple eyes however told amusement behind her sad expression. Bill nodded and handed over some money to the otter. "Yea we are heading out. Thank you for the food." Bill said with a bright smile. Annie's pout melted away into a smile and she took the money and put it away in the cash register. The otter went out from behind the counter and kissed Bill on the cheek. "See you in a few days Spots." She said and then turned her attention to Jason and kissed his cheek as well. "And I hope to see you again. Who knows maybe Boss Bear will hire you if we ask nicely." Annie added with a wicked smile. Jason nodded shyly, his face curled into a timid smile. "That sounds nice." The spotted canine replied. With that the duo went out of the small diner, full and still looking for adventure. As they stepped out the moonlight met their gaze and Bill's pleasant smile painted his face again as an idea struck his mind. "Let's go." Bill said and Jason nodded. When the two got into the car, Bill started it and drove away from the diner. One more gift was planned for the spotted canine on this evening and it would be a blast. Bill's smile grew and the car went a tiny bit faster until they got to an empty park and the car was parked and promptly turned off. The low hanging moonlight met the grass and gave off a haunting essence to the park in the night. Jason got out of the car and looked confused why the pair had taken a stop at the barren grassy area, only a few trees to block the moonlight, the serene silver gold sparkled off of Jason's white fur. Bill flipped on his radio and left the unneeded cane in the car. "So why are we here?" Jason asked, his head tilted to the side. Before he could answer the slow hum of violins started from the radio and a piano's notes soon joined the dance. Bill reached out and presented his hand. "May I have this dance?" Bill asked softly. The starlight reflected in Jason's gaze as those deep brown eyes went from calm though confused to interested and desiring. With a smile as wide as the moon is large Jason agreed. "Ever done the follower's part?" Bill asked softly as the two took to the position of east coast swing. With simple steps of side to side before a hop of a rock step the two kept in time with the hymn of the violin. "Nah but it seems easy enough. Just go slow okay? Just cause I'm a runner doesn't mean I'm graceful on my feet at all times. "Jason said with a smile and the cheetah nodded, speeding up his steps only slightly as the song picked up its pace. The silver light of the moon and stars made everything appear as if diamonds had been sparkled onto the world below in the form of dust. With a twist of Bill's hand Jason footwork led the two hip to hip and the large cat beamed a big smile. Jason blushed from the closeness, and Bill's hand moved down to position, resting on his hip. The beat kept up with the slightly faster pace, the violin's sweet lullaby a dancing measure that the piano underline kept in toe with. As the musical instruments were in sync the men could not say the same. Jason's foot work was much sloppier than the cheetah's who had practiced the moves before. However both were smiling and as the song picked up the common east coast style was disregarded with the violin's drop from sweetness. Soon their fingers became interlocked while their bodies bounced and spun away from the other. The sweet smell of wet grass filled the air, every step brought dew into the sky. "Ready for the best part?" Bill asked with a grin while the song took a moment to let the dancers relax and catch their breath. Jason nodded unsure; his white and black fur alit with the evening's light. Jason purred at such a sight but grinned wildly at what he knew was to come. The piano did not just increase in speed but in power as well as a second piano joined the waltz. The violin also gained a brother as one took the high road and another took the low road. The men gained speed to match the dance of sound and their bodies met with the clasp of fingers and hands before they pushed apart again. Bill's graceful steps and spins made the starlight dance of his frame in fickle glows, while in opposition Jason's steps were large and harsh. The song lasted a short while longer, with their hands clasped and once more back together touching at the hips. The song picked up one final note and Bill leaned in close to Jason. "Trust me..." The cheetah whispered into the spotted dog's ear. Jason nodded and the violin's screamed in reply. With little effort, Bill lifted Jason off his feet and lightly placed him down again. The violin shouted louder and once more the Dalmatian was lifted off his feet. The second time he was also placed lightly down. Yet the song sped up, the climax near. With a few careful steps Bill leaned down, with Jason in his arms as the pair bent forward before leaning back to normal and Jason's feet no longer touching the ground. Almost as if every motion matched the music perfectly, Jason's body was moved to Bill's right side before being twisted around his whole body and ending up on his left side. The final notes of the violins shouted and the pair dipped down, Bill leaning yet holding Jason slightly above the ground. Their lips locked into a sweet kiss and the Dalmatian couldn't help but blush. The music died away and since the radio only had one track the radio went to a silent buzz. Bill smiled down at Jason as the Dalmatian was given his footing again and the cheetah took a few deep breathes to regain his composure. "And that is dancing." Bill said with a wild smirk. Jason laughed and once more their lips locked with only the moon to watch them.
