Normally Halloween is somber, with decorations in every house, the streets full of people in costumes and, most importantly, candy. So many sweets that filled the streets with a sugary aroma. But this year a tragedy had occurred that would bring the smiles of all the young people. "A storm is approaching!" Huey Duck warned watching the heavy clouds begin to light up with lightning. "We should head home before the rain catches us." He suggested his brothers. "Nooooo!" Dewey shouted dramatically, rising to his knees and raising his arms. He didn't mind getting his Sasuke Uchiha costume pants dirty. He thought he looked cool and mysterious. "I curse you, honey! I cur-akh!" Louie gave his brother a light smack on the back of the head. "Stop making a fuss, we won't leave yet." He said the duck with his Greek tunic taken from his closet at the last minute because he was too lazy to look for a costume. "It's the best day to get free candy. We can't leave for a few little raindrops!" Huey rolls his eyes. If it weren't for his Optimus Prime suit, made of real metal, he would have lightly slapped his face for his brothers' behavior. "We already have a good amount of candy." Huey points to the plastic pumpkins that were half filled with goodies. "And it won't be a few small drops of rain." Huey takes the scout guide from him, flipping through several pages until stopping. He began reading aloud about the different types of clouds and how it was possible to identify climatic factors to determine what will happen next with the weather. But Louie and Dewey had left as soon as Huey took out his book, tired of him ruining the fun with nerdy facts. Instead they hurried to another house to ask for more sweets. They're a couple of kids on Halloween and they didn't want to stop, even if the world was about to collapse. "Nothing can stop us!" Dewey exclaimed. **20 minutes later.** "No one can stop the storm!?" The blue duck exclaims, with some fear in his voice, as he observes that from one moment to the next a deluge had begun to fall on his heads. The streets, once filled with laughing people, were now filled with water and it was difficult to see anything in the pouring rain. The 2 young ducks had barely managed to find a place to take shelter to avoid getting wet and ruining their treats. Dewey closes his eyes tightly and begins to do the hand positions that he remembers from Naruto, although they were completely random. "Sharingan!" He exclaimed loudly as he opened his eyes, casting a strong look at the sky. Nothing happened. "Next year you should dress up as a clown." Louie said hugging himself. The nice extra ventilation of the Greek tunic now let in the cold from below. "Take out your phone and call home so someone can come pick us up." Dewey smiles. "Great idea!" He started going through his pockets...finding nothing. "Right... I left it at home." He said remembering leaving his cell phone on his bed. "What!? Why did you leave your phone!?" Dewey blushed slightly. "And why don't you have your phone?" He tried to throw the hot potato. Louie grabs his robe and moves it slightly. "Do you see any pockets?" The ducks' discussion was interrupted when the lights flickered and the boys turned around, noticing the place where they had been taking shelter from the storm. They meet under the awning of a hotel with Halloween decorations at the main entrance. Louie raises an eyebrow. "...when did this appear here?" When did they open a hotel in that area? The young duck had not seen the building before. "Oh! Oh! Oh! I have a great idea!" Dewey said, bouncing on the spot excitedly. “Let's go in, I'll show the hotel members how amazing and cool I am so they'll let us use the phone to call home.” The blue duck put both fists on the sides of his waist, looking completely proud of his plan and waiting for Louie's admiration. The young duck rolls his eyes and goes ahead to open the double doors of the hotel to enter. The hotel reception was simple and well lit. With a classic Halloween decoration. Paper bats, plastic pumpkins, fake spider webs, bones and skulls. But there was something remarkable, so to speak. On one side of the reception desk was a cardboard model of what the hotel looks like. Without a doubt a strange decoration for the reception. "What's something like this doing here?" Louie said confused and approached the model. He stretches his hand towards it. "Youngster." A voice suddenly said, making Louie jump back. "Gah!" Behind the desk stood a tall man dressed as a devil. He wasn't there before, that was for sure. "I ask you not to touch the cardboard hotel." The cloth mask did not allow his face to be seen, but the severe tone denoted that he was a young adult, and also annoying. "Haha. You got scolded." Dewey mocked his brother. "What is that school project?" He points to the cardboard hotel. The devil lets out an annoyed snort. "It is the first design of the hotel, made by the creator with his own hands." "Oh! He must have been planning to open a hotel for years! How insistent!" Dewey said and tried to look out one of the model's small windows. Seeing that inside there were small dolls, 3 to be exact... 2 small ducks and a purple monkey. Dewey blinks perplexed. "Wow. What a great coincidence." Louie addressed the mysterious devil behind the desk. "Sorry for the inconvenience. But we need to use his phone to make a call. As you can see, the storm left us somewhat trapped. So if you would be so kind, sir..." "Monkey." The devil said with a happier, even playful tone, as he reveals a purple monkey tail. "Prank-Monkey." "And you like pranks?" Dewey asked with a smile. While Louie raises an eyebrow at the strange name. So either that guy was literally playing with them or his parents had a strange taste for certain names. "They mentioned they want to use the phone." The receptionist dodged the blue duck's question. "Unfortunately, our only working phone is in room 13." Lightning resonates with those words. "What? Why is the only phone in a room?" Louie questioned. "What happens is that in room 13..." Another bolt of lightning strikes. "...it is the only room with a landline telephone. The signal of the other telephones and services has been interrupted by the storm." "Can we go to room 13!?" Dewey said and stood waiting for something to happen. But nothing happened. The duck makes a disgusted face. "Oww..." "Sure, no problem." The disguised monkey uses his tail to grab the key that was hanging behind him and throws it to the boys. "Enter through the door on the left and follow the numbers on the doors." Louie caught the key, noticing that it is a big, thick key, like it was from an old door. "Huh, thank you, Mr. Monkey." The young duck walks with his brother towards the door, under the watchful eye of the receptionist until they cross the door. A malicious smile lights up the devil mask. The receptionist jumps over the desk and takes a closer look at the model of the hotel. --- Both duck brothers tilt their heads in confusion when they see that they are in a room with some furniture and on the other side there was another door. They were expecting a hallway with rooms or something like that. "I guess it's a separate waiting room for VIP people." Dewey said and then combed his feathers with a smile. "I guess my genius is too obvious and that's why they sent us here." "Put some ice in your pants." Louie commented as he walked towards the door at the other end of the room. But as he stood in front of her, he noticed something unusual. "002?" He read the plaque on the door. "As?" Dewey turns to look at the door behind him, noticing a beach with the number 001. “So this is the first room of the hotel?” He questions the confused duck. “And having to go through other people's rooms to get to another one? “It’s a silly idea.” The green duck said with a frown as he imagined something like that. “Lack of privacy, geez.” He said quite unhappy with the idea. Dewey crosses his arms, trying to smile confidently, though his eyes wander uncomfortably at the idea. “I guess you don't have enough confidence.” “This place is strange. Let’s find the phone to leave.” Louie said opening the door. "What the hell!?" He exclaimed as he saw the next room. Room 002 was exactly the same as the one they were in, except that the windows were boarded up and there were some cobwebs in the upper corners. "This is not normal." Dewey enters and looks around the room. “A hotel should be cleaner.” He said pointing to the cobwebs and noticing some dust on the furniture. “Maybe it's not a real hotel but a kind of house or labyrinth of terror.” Louie proposed, trying to be reasonable and looking for a non-scary explanation for this. “Shouldn't there be signs outside?” Dewey looks out of one of the windows. “Though I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see anything. Look at that rain, I only see that and darkness.” Louie's heart dropped to his stomach and his pupils shrank. “H-how can there be windows here?” He questioned with his voice shaking. “This building was among others! There weren’t even alleys!” Dewey shrugs. “Well… maybe that's not the case. We hurried to cover ourselves from the rain. Maybe we ran to the corner or something. “I really just wanted to avoid wet underwear.” Louie still had a bad feeling on his shoulders. His brother didn't seem to notice this. Instead, Dewey took his brother to the next door. The door had the number 003 on the plate... and the wood seems to be more worn than the others. Dewey didn't seem to notice anything and opened the door. The changes were more noticeable now. The room was dimmer, creating eerie shadows in the corners and around the furniture. There was also a greater amount of dust and cobwebs, although that was the least important. Dewey flinches slightly and swallows. “Maybe some light bulbs burned out.” “I'm not sure I want to see the next room.” Louie was shaking a little. “C-come on, I don't think things could be worse!” Dewey tried to act brave, not noticing that he had said a cursed phrase that ensured that everything would get worse. Despite that, he continued with his brave big brother act and led Louie to door 004 and opened it without hesitation. “Taraa~!” He exclaimed expecting a normal room. Only room 004 was not normal. It was still the same size, the same furniture as the other rooms, and it was even better lit than room 003. But this only made it easy to see. The walls have cracks and holes… with big eyes. Big eyes, too big for anyone, all of them moving frantically around the room. At least it was like that for a few moments. The big eyes stopped suddenly, all of them, and turned to look at the pair of frightened ducks that were at the door. The young green duck, with a scared expression, turns to see his brother. “Let's go back to the hotel reception! Something strange is happening here!” They both run back through the rooms. Fortunately the eyes stayed on room 004. Dewey gets to door 001 first and reaches for the knob. Only to notice that the door was locked. The young blue duck persists in his attempt to open the door. But there was no success. “We are locked in!” Dewey exclaimed, feeling his heart race with fear. He hits the door and screams. "Help! Mr. Monkey! “We are locked in!” “That guy must have locked us in!” Louie felt panic rise. "The Windows!" Louie hurried to the uncovered windows. But no matter how hard he tried, they didn't move. “Urgh! But there is no kind of insurance!” “Big brother will take care of this!” Dewey said flexing his noodle arms like there were big muscles there. So he tries his best to open the window. He achieves nothing more than making a fool of himself. and get tired. “Let's try to use one of the furniture!” Louie said as he walks over to one of the chairs and tries to use it to break the glass. But no matter how hard he pulled, he couldn't lift it. “I can't even move it! This looks like she is stuck to the ground!” “We have to get to the phone in room 13.” Dewey said. Lightning thundered outside. "It worked!" The duck said with a smile. “We must reach the end.” “This is a terrible idea.” Louie said. But they had no other options. They could not escape or turn back. So moving forward and hoping that there actually was a phone was the only option they had. That's how the 2 ducks walked through the empty rooms, with Louie being behind Dewey. The eyes on the walls were still there, watching the pair of brothers. Louie felt his underwear become slightly damp. Dewey was sweating as they crossed the room. It's true that he likes to have attention. But not in this creepy way! Fortunately for them the eyes don't seem to be able to do anything. "L-let's go quickly to the next room." Dewey said, standing in front of door 005 and reaching for the knob. "GAAAAAAAARRRHHHHHHHH!!" A scream, no, a kind of spectral roar echoed in the room, even the storm seemed to fall silent at that moment for fear of the roar. Dewey and Louie react by trying to jump into each other's arms out of fear. They hit their heads, sat down on the ground and hugged each other while trembling in fear with big teary eyes. A warm sensation spreads across the bottom, both of them had urinated in fear. "W-W-W-W-W..." Louie was too scared to speak, his teeth looking like castanets in his mouth. "D-d-don't scare me at all!" Dewey said covered in sweat and unable to stop shaking. "I'm Dewey Duck and I'm the protagonist!" He shouted with trembling eyes and ignoring his soaked pants. The door to room 005 opened, as if they were being invited in. But nothing could be seen on the other side of the door. Both terrified ducks try to poke their heads out to try to see what awaited them in that place. Then a sudden flash illuminated the room for a few moments. But what they could see were the furniture and that there were still eyes on the walls. Louie was sucking on his thumb while his robe, now yellowed, dripped from fear from before. Dewey holds his brother's other hand, trying to be a trustworthy figure to reassure his younger brother. "I-It's just a little poorly lit! There's nothing to be afraid of!" That would have worked better if his legs weren't shaking so much that they caused his pants to slide slightly revealing a lavender waistband. Dewey begins to walk into the room. Even leaving the door open everything remained in darkness. It should be easy to cross, right? There shouldn't be anything in the way from one door to the other, right? The eyes on the walls can't do anything, right? Everything would be fine... right? It was what the young ducks repeated internally in a fruitless attempt to ward off fear. That all ended when the door behind them was slammed. “GAAHHH!” They screamed in the dark. But that did not last long. The room was illuminated again by a flash allowing the boys to see that they were not really alone. The door had been closed by an enormous creature, so large that it had to hunch over to avoid hitting the ceiling of the room. The creature has a humanoid body, it seemed to be made of tar, but the biggest attraction of that thing was its only eye, a red eye that took up almost the entire head of the creature. The room fell into total darkness again, being filled with the sound of screams, whimpers, and heavy footsteps around. Dewey and Louie screamed, cried, wet themselves more, ran and bumped into furniture until somehow they made it to the door, rushing into room 006 without even thinking about what they would find there. They both fell face first onto the carpet and crawled into the thankfully lit room. The creature in room 005 seemed to stay there, leaving the young ducks alone. But with a loot. Louie hugged her now bare legs, his robe having been left behind next to his pumpkin of candy. The only thing Louie kept were his MLP underoos with images of Spike, which were completely soaked. “WHAT WAS THAT THING!? IT WAS TOO BIG! IT WAS VERY SCARY! AND HE WAS LOOKING AT US!" He was crying pathetically with tears and snot running down his face. Dewey was in a similar state. "MOMMY! UNCLE DONALD! “HEEEEEEYYYHHHH!!” He cries like a baby wearing only his wet Paw Patrol underwear. “Ohh~Poor babies~” he said a laughing voice. Both brothers stopped their whimpers and fearfully searched for the source of the voice. “Up here~” When Dewey and Louie looked up they could see the receptionist, with his devil costume, his purple tail and with a sinister smile. This added to the fact that he was standing on the ceiling, so he is upside down. Dewey and Louie hugged each other, shaking with fear. This was no ordinary monkey and they had nothing to do. “Hihihihihi~” The monkey laughs when he sees the ducks' scared expressions. “I guess I'll have to take care of these little lost babies.” The monkey's shadow on the ceiling begins to expand, deform and divide into several arms that move across the ceiling and then along the walls. Leaving no place where his victims can flee. Dewey and Louie hug each other, watching helplessly and waiting for everything to end quickly. --- “Where did that couple of irresponsible people have gotten into?” Huey said to himself as he walks down the sidewalk under an oversized umbrella. Always prepared for adversity, as the scout guide said. The red duck had been looking for his brothers since they had left. He was upset at being left alone like that. But his older brother's instincts told him that he should help his brothers, who are probably stranded somewhere, to take them home. He then slaps their butts for being a couple of naughty boys and walks away. One night with the red background he should teach those two a good lesson. Huey's thoughts were interrupted when the rain began to decrease, more and more until it disappeared, leaving several puddles as the only evidence of what happened. Huey blinked in confusion. “How strange, I thought the storm would last longer.” He decided to keep the umbrella above him in case it rains again. “Excuse me, young man, do you happen to know these little ones?” He said a cheerful voice behind the duck. Huey turned around, seeing a person dressed as a devil. And next to it a double baby stroller. The duck's eyes widened when he saw that his brothers were in the stroller! Dewey and Louie were dressed in footed pajamas, cyan with block designs and yellow with fairy designs. They both had noticeable bulges around their waists, so it was obvious that they were wearing diapers. Dewey and Louie were also sucking on pacifiers, completing a humiliating baby appearance. “Dueeeee!” They both said, holding the pacifiers in their mouths as they stretched out their arms, like babies happy to see their big brother. Huey, well, I wasn't too surprised at this makeover from them. He sighs. “Yep, they are my younger brothers. Thank you for finding them both and I apologize for any trouble they will cause you.” The diapered ducks' eyes widened as he saw that his brother was assuming that they were responsible for something bad. They tried to protest and warn Huey about the monkey. But the pacifiers in his mouth were sealing his words and it was impossible to take them away. The monkey makes a careless gesture. "Don't worry. As soon as I saw this pair of babies crying I knew I had to do something.” He put down the cart and started to back away. “I'm sorry to retire this way. But I still have a lot to do tonight. “Red bananas don’t pick themselves.” Huey closed his eyes and nodded his head in agreement. “Understandable, red bananas are…” He realizes that doesn’t make sense. "What thing?" But when he opened his eyes, the man in the devil costume had completely disappeared. “Huh. I guess that was some pun or something.” Huey shrugged and began to push the stroller. “You two and I will have a conversation when we get home.” He assured his brothers. “But I guess we can ask for some candy on the way, now that the rain has stopped.” Dewey and Louie try to protest, they didn't want to walk around dressed like that! But their mouths were still sealed by the pacifiers. And to make matters worse, their sweets were replaced by bottles and jars of baby food. However, one thing is certain. Next year they will be careful not to approach any hotel or anyone dressed in a devil costume. And run away from anyone who answered to the name Prank-Monkey.
