Chapter 9 

(The Lord of Darkness Part 1)

We join our heroes still in the same city in where everyone had met and had new members joining the new Team Phenomenon, the group settle down to rent a hotel room for the night after the fuss of the big day, meeting new people and finding missing ones and taking down bad guys.
The Group was relaxing by the clear hotel pool as Mia and Marytha were splashing at each other, Spark doing routine maintenance on Cyborg's limbs, Silver relaxing next to Xak in the sun, Solar and Lunar bickering at each other as usual, Shocram staying far and clear of the water, and Shadow leaning against a wall in a corner with his arms crossed.
"Hey Xak,” Silver started, “so you've encountered these Void guys like Mephiles, right? What were the other 2 like? What are we up against?" he asked leaning over to Xak.
"Well. One goes by the name of Mischef, he has a head that's lit on fire with black flames, and he's all spikey like Mephiles with evil soul piercing red eyes... And a laugh that could curdle milk..." Xak explained, still relaxing.
"And the other one?" Silver continued to ask
"The other one was named Myral, and he was like red crystals, and he felt like it too, I know, I punched him in the face and nearly broke my knuckle... his skin was like armor, his eyes were a glowing purple of evil, and his laugh, just made me shutter, he sounded like a psycho clown..." Xak continued.
"Huh... so Mephiles has brothers... And I bet there is more than we've heard of... we should probably start putting together a plan and stuff--"
"Hmhmhm a plan would be an excellent Idea,” A deep voice growled, “but there is no need, when we're standing right here..." the deep evil voice drawled. The others looked at the three void brothers there before them in the flesh. As soon as Xak saw them, he quickly jumped to his feet, and Shadow pushed himself off the wall.
"Mephiles!" Shadow shouted out, Silver was all ready for combat, and the others staying away with Shocram, Solar, and Lunar and Cyborg protecting them.
Mephiles looked at Shadow "Aww shadow, it's a pleasure to see you again... I never got to thank you for beating me in the temples nea solaris, hmhm how have you been--?"
"What are they doing here?!" Xak interrupted with a growl, and black flames blazing in his hands.
"Oh we just wanted to show you our trophy, Mischef?" Mephiles said, then a black portal showed out of nowhere, with a young female hedgehog in a cage, looking weak and frail.
"OPHILIA!" Xak cried out, "What have you DONE TO HER!?” he demanded fiercely, “WHAT DO YOU WANT WITH ME?" Xak cried out again with his flames blazing even bigger and darker.
"Well of course, we want the last piece to our family..." Mischef said as if it was so simple.
"Family? What does that have to do with me?" Xak said growling, but yet confused.
"Do you think he's not aware yet?" Mischef whispered to Mephiles.
"No, not yet... but he soon will and when he does..." Mephiles said and looks back at Xak.
"If you want to know more... about this, you should go to the temples... in the desert, you know the one's you wondered in...” Mephiles slowly turned his large head to Shadow, “hmhm Shadow remembers, those temples don't you dear boy?" 
"What... so then I was to suspect those Temples, what's in them Mephiles?" Shadow demanded.
"You'll just have to go back and find out hmhm." Mephiles said was the three brothers walked through another black Portal the appeared out of nowhere, Ophilia weakly looked up; only just barely through her heavy eyes she saw a blurry outline of a black hedgehog.
"X-...Xak?... is that y-you?" She said softly and dry.
"Ophilia! I'll save you don't worry!" desperately, Xak bolted at the three attempting to save Ophilia, but before he could touch them, Myral turned around and kicks Xak in the chest and knocked him into the hotel walls, smashing a huge wall in it as Myral laughed his evil laugh and the portal closed behind them.
"XAK!" Marytha shouted as she rushed to his side "hey Xak, are you alright? Freaking crap they’re strong..." Marytha said with a panicking look on her face
Xak was going into unconsciousness and coughed up a storm, as he slowly opened his eyes seeing in blurry vision, "Ophy... Ophy.. I promise... I'll save.... you..." xak said, finally passing out cold.
"Seems Mephiles was holding back then... these brothers must be the result of his scheme, from a year ago... but if this was his true intention... then why did he need Iblis?" Shadow said out loud in question.
"Maybe... Iblis was a trick... to deceive us! While we thought we beat him, He was hatching another plan this whole time..." Silver said in suspicion
"Hmmm that would make sense... but if that's true... Then what does Xak have to do with this whole situation?" Shadow continued with questions.
"Who knows...?” Silver says. The frowns, “Do you think maybe Xak may not be the guy we think him to be?" Silver asks.
"Hmmm... could be a possibility... We’ll have to keep an eye on him... Something isn't right here..."Shadow said.
"Hey guys what are you doing here?" suddenly another yet familiar voice join the party, as the voice belong to no other but the blue blur himself, Sonic.
"Sonic! We’ve got problems and you're gonna want to hear this..." Silver began.
"Yes, it seems Mephiles was not defeated after all and now he's come back with family...." Shadow said.
"Mephiles? I don't remember him... should I be worried?" Sonic asked innocently as Silver and Shadow were blown off guard with Sonic's ignorance.
"He was the one that killed you!” Shadow snapped in annoyance, “Remember now?" He shouted as everyone else noticed the three hedgehogs talking over there.
"Hey Shadow, Silver wanna help us get Xak inside in to a bed, and who's the new guy?" Solar shouted.
"Silver go help while I talk with Sonic" Shadow says.
"Right!" Silver agreed and went to their aid.
"So a guy who killed me huh? Can't say I remember it's a little hazy I guess...” he put his hand on his chin, pondering, and “Wait; now I’m remembering something... oh yeah now I remember! It was the guy who looked a lot like you! Okay so he's bad news, and now you say he's back?" Sonic asks. 
"Yes and with more of his kind..." Shadow said and I found this kid, Xak who has some strange connection with Mephiles and his brothers," Shadow continued to say, gesturing to the hedgehog passed out behind them.
"Wait Xak? Brothers?.... I found an injured stranger on my way to town, who ask me to take him to Xak... That’s him? He's right over there..." Sonic said being reminded of the task he was already doing.
"Does he have a connection..."shadow said
"Um he said something about.... a member of Xak’s family from the kingdom..." Sonic answered.
"Kingdom?” He asked, “So Xak is he royalty or something?" 
"I don't know... But i'm gonna take this poor guy in and see if this Xak guy knows him..." Sonic said as he picked up the injured hedgehog and took him in to Xak’s room as the others took Xak to his bed.


(Minutes later)

Xak awoke to an empty room with another hedgehog sleeping in the other bed across form his, Xak was very confused and hungry, he got up and went out of the room to find everyone in the hall way.
"Um hey guys... what happened?..." Xak asked as soon as he stepped out when suddenly he was greeted with relief.
"Oh man you're alright. Myral really knocked you out... That’s the second time; just how strong are these guys?" Shocram said getting up off the ground from where he was sitting, as Mia charged at Xak and glomped him to the ground and hugged him tightly.
"Big brother you're okay!" Mia said with joy.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine... “Xak stood up and pulled Mia off of him. He rubbed his head, "uhg... I remember... something about temples... And then... OPHY!" Xak said out loud. He marched up to Shadow and grabbed him by the chest fur and pushed him against the wall, "what do you know about the temple!?" Xak demanded, as Shadow merely looked to Xak with an annoyed glare and punched Xak in the stomach, making Xak loosen his grip and Shadow followed with a kick to his ribs knocking on his back.
"Don't ever do that again... And besides I don't know anything about the temple. Other than where it's located, and that I once fought Mephiles in them...but as to which they hold, I don't know..." Shadow said with a slight growl.
"Wow Shadow, chill out,” Sonic popped up, “now will someone please fill me in... I got the Mephiles and his brothers part but can someone share a little more, like for one who are all these people, and what temple!?" Sonic asked in outrage with being held back in all this confusion.
"Those bastards killed my family..." Xak grunted as he rolled over, "they destroyed my kingdom..." Xak got on his knees and then standing straight up with heavy panting, "They... kidnapped my Fiancée..." Xak said stand straight, holding his abdominal area, "and... they will... pay!" he growled as he turned around, looked at Shadow with black flames in his hands bursting to release, "You're gonna take me to this temple.... right now, Shadow..." Xak commanded staring Shadow down.
"HMPH! You’ve got some nerve kid..."Shadow said staring Xak down as well.
"Hey guys, you know we don't need more violence...” Sonic muttered with a small careful smile, trying to lighten the moment, “look Xak, they obviously want us to go to this temple... so it's obvious that’s it's a trap... we shouldn't go--"
"And what leave my girlfriend to stay in their possession, to suffer more?” he interrupted, “if none of you want to help that's fine... I’ll go it alone, I should've in the first placed..." peeved off, Xak started walking away down the hall until Lunar rushed in front of Xak with his Black orb summoned.
"You're not going alone, and you're also not going anywhere" Lunar said with a solid authority as Xak only walked up to Lunar and head bashed him hard enough to put Lunar to his knees in pain as Xak continued walking, then Solar stepped in front of Xak this time with his white orb summoned.
"Xak, stop right now, we know you're angry but you're not much of a match for those guys--"
"I...” Xak said stomping with black flames blazing out of every step he took, "DON'T!" he started to raise his voice with the flames still blazing from his feet "…CARE!" he shouted as he grabbed Solar by the arm and smashed him into the wall beside him, and continued to march on.
Suddenly Shocram tackled Xak from behind and gave him a little taze to calm him down. "XAK! Stop it, you're not gonna help anyone by going crazy again..." Shocram said when suddenly the room's door opened, the stranger Sonic found was awake and looked at the group in the hall way.
"Hey.. can you guy keep it down?..." 
Xak's eyes went wide as the voice seem familiar to him..."N-nicks? UNCLE NICKS!" Xak said as he stood up throwing Shocram off of him and ran towards him, "Uncle Nicks is it really you!" Xak said crying with joy and disbelief that someone has actually survived.
"Wow, haha Xak you look different? did you do something with your hair? No, it's the eyes huh? Damn I’ve never been good at guessing games,” Nicks said smiling.
"You’re alive, I thought me and Ophilia were the only ones still alive!" Xak said looking up at him.
"yeah... it sucks what happened...but it can't be helped, I was wondering around for a year now, trying to find a new home and stuff, then suddenly I hear tales of a brown hedgehog, getting into a fight with a black hedgehog... named Shadow... and then I heard them say something about this same little hedgehog thieving,” Nicks gave him a look, “and resisting arrest your story has been traveling everywhere, when I heard these rumors I could think it was my little nephew the scamp so I’ve been following these rumors and trying to find you, then before I knew it I was passed out and then woke up here...” he sighed, “it's good to see you again nephew." Nicks said with a glee expression hugging his nephew back.
"So Ophy's been captured huh?" Nicks said sincerely
"Yeah but i'll save her... wait how did you know? None us said anything?" Xak said, followed by a question.
"Oh you know... the rumors and stuff" Nicks said smiling.
"Oh I guess that makes sense" Xak said calmed down. He looked to everyone; "sorry I flipped out guys" xak apologized
"Yeah tell that to my arm!" Solar said holding his injured arm.
"Yeah and my head!" Lunar shouted holding his head.
"Aww poor lunar" Marytha said and then quickly caught on to what she said and silenced herself before anyone caught what she said.
"Hmmm" Shadow whispered to himself as something about this Nicks character didn't seem right he leaned in on Silver and Sonic.
"Keep a close eye on that Nicks guy... Something is off about him." Shadow whispered as Silver nodded in agreement.
"Alright, yeah I caught it to..." Sonic whispered.
"Me too..." silver also whispered.


(Meanwhile)

The dark brothers were standing in the temple in the very same chamber that Shadow and Mephiles had their show down in years before.
"Mephiles, how can you be so sure he'll come, I mean he obviously thinks it's a trap." Mischef said to him.
"Don’t worry so much dear brother... if Myral's plan works... then we should have nothing to fear..." Mephiles said calmly
"But that's the problem, Myral didn't tell us about his plan, how will we know if it's working or not?" Mischef asked
"Mischef... you should have faith in your brother, he maybe a little unstable, but his is the most devious out of us all, I think you could give him a little more credit." Mephiles said
"I suppose you're right..." Mischef submitted.


(Meanwhile)
"man... when you tink we get a bath'troom break bradah?" a thick voice said in darkness
"Pfft like i'm so posed ta know dat?" yet another thick voice said in darkness
"how much longa are we gon' be in heer?" the first think voice said
"Pfft, like i'm so posed ta know dat?" the second thick voice said in darkness repeating himself....


(Meanwhile)
"Alright guys, it's decided we're going to the temple!" Xak said with everyone sitting around in a circle in the hotel room with everyone cheering as they came up with a plan.
"Yeah!" everyone cheered.
"Yeah let’s go beat those void jerks I'll personal send them to hell with my bare hands!" Shocram said, all fired up with motivation.
"Yeah we'll make them pay for crimes!" Marytha said also inspired with Mia cheering with her, "Yeah we'll beat those dummy heads up hard!" Mia said.
"It’s settled, we sleep tonight and march to the temple in the morning, and show those voids that you don't ever challenge the power... of..."he silently lead up as suddenly everyone cheered out loud,
"TEAM PHEN-NOM-MEN-NON!"
Soon nightfall feel on the world as everyone was fast asleep as the hours past and soon enough, the sun rose and the group already up and ready for their trip!

"Are we ready guys? This trip will get a little bumpy!" Xak said
“Alright kids hop on if you’re with me, grab on!” Cyborg said as he launched himself up with his jet pack and his arm extended like a rope for Spark and Mia and Nicks to grab on to as he started flying off ahead.
"Hurry up guys!
"Are all you guys ready?" Xak asked looking to his right and left seeing everyone in a row.
"I’m good" Sonic said instantly blitzed off.
"I’m ready," Shadow answered as he too skated off.
"I'm already! Let's take them down!" Silver said lifting himself up off the ground with his telekinesis and flew off quickly.
"I’m ready and feeling all kinds of lucky," Marytha said as she started running after them.
"We’re ready to go!" Solar said as Lunar nodded agreeing as they shaped their orbs into hover boards like before and flew off.
"Pfft, and you know I’ve been ready!" Shocram said as he took of already too fast.
"And so am I!" Xak said as he started running and catching up to the rest as the whole group, traveled together some by air others by ground running at incredible speeds and the flight at unbelievable speeds.

(Meanwhile)
"They’re coming..." Mephiles said opening his eyes and chuckling a little.
"Finally, hmhmhm let the fun begin; hopefully Myral won’t fail us..." Mischef said.
"Hmhm I know he won’t..." Mephiles said with confidence.
"Get the chaos emeralds ready Mischef... its show time...” 


(Meanwhile)
"Hey brada... does something feel strange ta ya?" the voice in the dark asks.
"Kinda ya... what could it be?" the second voice asked back in the dark
"Hmhmhm... I know..." a third voice softly spoke out in the mists of the darkness with suck a hollow deep voice.
"Hey! You ain't allowed ta talk in dere!" the first voice said.
"Relax Bro... he can't hurt anyone..."


The group arrived at the temple after a few hours of traveling, following Shadow, who led them to the temple and made it inside just as a sand storm picked up, they entered into a chamber with three different hall ways.
"Wow it is dark in here... we should pair up in groups, each group with a light caster, and find the way to the voids," Xak said
"Are you sure we should split up?" Shocram asks.
"Yeah, I mean it's the only way to cover enough ground." Xak said.
"It would be smart, this temple seems to have changed sense I was last here... stay on your guard." Shadow mentions.
"Right now let’s set up the groups." Xak said.
"I’ll be the last caster." Shocram said, "I'm going doing this way, let’s go anyone who wants to follow me." Shocram summoned his sparkling blue electricity to his fingers and started walking as Sonic, and Lunar started following Shocram.
"I'll be a light caster" Silver offers, "i'll go down this way if anyone wants to follow," Silver said as he lit himself up with his telekinesis and started walking as, Xak, Marytha, and Nicks followed Silver.
"I'll be a light caster too" Solar said summoning his white orb "I’ll go down this way!" Solar said walking down as Shadow, Cyborg and the kids followed him.
Now the group completely split up and into three different paths…

While the Group wondered to find their way the dark brothers Mephiles and Mischef were preparing the chaos emeralds for whatever dastardly deed they had planned.
We join Shocram's team now, he, Sonic and Lunar were traveling down the long dark tunnel Shocram has chosen, as it felt like they had been walking for hours with no end in sight...
"Man is it me or does this path just seem to go on forever." Shocram asked, walking down the dark path with his sparks lighting their way.
"Yeah something's kinda off if you ask me…" Sonic said looking around with suspicion.
"Hmm I think Sonic is right... something is off...let’s look around maybe a secret path is hidden or something..." Lunar said a he started checking the stones in the wall.
"Yeah, good idea." Shocram said as he too started checking stones when he stepped on a floor panel by accident and suddenly the walls from both sides started closing in slowly.
"Oh crap!--"
"What did you do Shocram?" Lunar asked.
"Hey why am I the one you point the finger at... I mean I kinda stepped on a panel but if could've been you--"
"Hey guys, it doesn't matter if we don't move we'll become a bunch hedgehog pancakes!" Sonic said as he dashed down the hall while Shocram grabbed Lunar and blitzed behind Sonic as the walls closed in around them.
"Crap, crap, crap! We're not gonna make it!" Shocram panicked.
"We’ll make it kid, just keep running!" Sonic encouraged looking back at Shocram and gave him thumbs up and suddenly took off at the speed of sound.
"Whoa, alright it's a race!" Shocram said as he charged up and took off at the speed of light, racing down the hall of doom when suddenly a trap door activated and both the speed demons feel through with Lunar still attached to Shocram as the three falls down the pit of darkness... what awaits them below?

We join Solar's team of Shadow, Cyborg, Mia, and Spark were traveling down the long dark tunnel just the same as Shocram’s team and also finding no end in sight...
"Alright, we've been walking here for hours... what’s going on? Any of you guys got a clue?" Solar asks, looking back at Shadow, Cyborg and the kids.
"Hmm I have a hunch... that we may be traveling in circles or some kind of trick like that..." Shadow answers with certainty in his voice.
"I'll scan the area and see if there is any kind of strange activity controlling us, if Shadow is correct." Cyborg said as he put his robot arm to his robot eye at connection, it glows bright red and making tinging sounds trying to pin point any activity.
"Hmmm I'm not reading anything..." Cyborg said looking back at Shadow, shaking his head.
"What if there is some kind of switch or panel we can find that might open another path for us?" Spark asks, feeling confident about his idea.
"That may work, but we can't be too sure what will happen if we press anything..." Shadow said thinking about the Option.
"Well if that’s what we are looking for, um, I think I found something" Solar says, standing in front of a panel that looked just like the one Shocram stepped on.
"Hmm do you think it's a not way out?" Cyborg asked.
"I don't know... we'd have to press it and find out...." Shadow said.
"I’m not touching it..." Solar said sounding afraid.
"I'll press it" Spark offered, but as he stepped forward his weight triggered the panel. Spark seemed confident pose with a smirk, as a wall opened up and another path was revealed, "Don’t ever question a genius next time!" Spark said a little cocky as he took Cyborg's hand and started walking down the new path with Mia following behind Solar and Shadow, following in after Spark.
"Don’t worry Mia it'll be fine," Solar said as the group walked into darkness.... what awaits them?

We join Xak's team now as they travel down the hall they chose with Silver as their light source, the group felt exhausted from traveling down the long distance of seemingly endlessness destination.
"UUUUHHGGGG!.... are we there yet?" Marytha groaned, dragging her feet ready to collapse.
"I wish... this has to be some kind of trick done by those damned Void brothers...." Xak answered in a growl, slamming his hand against one of the walls around them, “they have to be doing this I'm sure of it.." 
"We just have to keep walking... that’s all." Silver said to reassure Xak.
"I guess" Xak agreed.
"Uhg! More walking!..." Marytha said panting in exhaustion.
"Maybe there's a panel, you know that we could find... and press and it might lead somewhere..." Nicks suggested.
"Yeah!” Xak says, “That’s a good idea, everyone start looking,” taking his uncle’s advice and immediately started looking around.
"Anything to stop walking for a while" Marytha says, and begins to search with Xak.
"Hmm alright." Silver said and felt it a tap suspicion that Nicks would suggest something that boldly with such confidence, but Silver kept to himself though just awaiting for a bigger reason to think otherwise, meantime he helped searching for a another path just as Nicks stepped on a panel.
"Wow I think I found it!" Nicks said out loud as it leads to the chamber where Mephiles and Mischef had been hiding! 
Xak rushed in with black flames blazing, ready for the battle, “MEPHILES! MICHEF!...” he growls, “where’s Myral? and where are my friends?! and where's Ophilia!?" Xak stared down Michef.
"Hmhmhm my dear boy your friends are right here..." Mischef snapped his fingers and everyone appeared from a black portal though unconscious and tied up with dark unnatural rope.
"They’re safe and sound for now... hmhm and as for Myral we don't know our selves..." Mischef said with a grin. 
Suddenly Nicks looked at Xak and his eyes changed from Nicks’ natural color to Myral's dark and evil purple glow and threw a punch at Xak knocking him against the wall as Silver instantly reacted and traps the imposter Nicks in his telekinesis.
"I knew it! You were no ally! Who are you! 'Nicks'” Silver demanded as Xak stood back up from the blow as he looked down in anger clenching his fists tight and black flames bursting and roaring all over his body.
"I’ve had enough of you sick... twisted bastards, ruining my LIIIIIIFFFFEEEE!" Xak shouted charging at the imposter and punched him ten times harder than the imposter had dealt him, knocking him out of Silver's hold by force and launching him across the chamber.
"AAAHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!" the imposter laughed as he flew and crashed into the walls.
"Not bad little nephew...hmhm." Nicks said as he stepped from the dust and wreckage of the crashed wall around him as his cover was blown and his body twisted and morphed back into Myral the dark true form, "hmhm I proud of you... You’ve got the nads to attack a family member... hmhm now I finally get to have you!" Myral said ready for battle as Xak looked at Myral and readied himself as well.
Unexpectedly, Mischef stepped in in the middle, "Myral... you did a good job, but this is my battle...." Mischef interrupted while looking at Myral.
Silver held Myral with his telekinesis again, “But in the mean time you and I can have a little duel!" Silver said with a smile as he lifted Myral into the air and tossed him across the room, back and forth smashing him into walls all the way around over and over and finally smashed him down into the ground, "haha!... it's no use!" Silver laughed standing over the hole Silver made with Myral's body. 
Mephiles suddenly stepped in and started retaliating making Silver loose his concentration to start dodge attacks left and right from Mephiles as Myral quickly steps up and flanked Silver with Mephiles double teaming against him.
"AH! That’s not fair!" Silver complained as Myral landed a punch to Silver's face launching him straight to the wall as he and Mephiles leaps from where they stood and smashed into Silver making the hole in the wall bigger as Silver coughs in agony and drops from the wall and smashed into the ground as Myral and Mephiles stood over his body.
"What was that now... Shiny punk... ‘It’s no use?' “Myral said as he and his brother laughed at Silver's defeat, suddenly a mega-kick landed on Mephiles face and by contact hitting Myral making the two brothers fly into the wall.
"hay! I’m still here, and it looks like you two just ran out of luck!" Marytha said as she suddenly pulled out grenades and started lobbing them left and right as the two voids, "HAHA! Don’t ever mess with my friends you big dumb dorks!" Marytha said as Myral appeared behind her and attempted to swing at her with his arm in the shape of a sword nearly decapitation her as she responded instantly ducking and sweep kicks him, putting Myral on his butt. Mephiles Launched from the wall like a missile and directly landed a punch into Marytha's face launching her into the wall, she quickly got up but was met with Myral's Knee to her ribs taking the breath from her, and collapsed.
"Hmhm what was that you said about luck?.. hmhmhm" Myral said laughing at her.
Mischef looked to Xak, "Seems my brothers are getting lively.. What do you say... you and I have some fun ourselves--"
instantly Xak leap at Mischef and punched him in the face, continuing his attack to his ribs, legs, chest, and finishing with a hammer punch to the crown of Mischef smashing his face into the ground, as Xak immediately started stomping his head into the ground, with tears and revenge in his eyes, Xak showed no mercy to Mischef, as Xak started bashing a hole with every stomp he mad to Mischef's face. Xak started exploding with anger as every stomp made his flames grow bigger and darker, as he suddenly started blasting Mischef with black fire balls endlessly over and over.
When Xak stopped only for a second to catch his breath he saw Mischef there, standing like nothing happened to him.
"Hmhmhm was that all?... I was expecting at least a little more from our last encounter... but I guess a weakling is always a weakling..." Mischef said taunting Xak only making him even angrier.
"Shut the HELL UP!" Xak shouted as his flames grew bigger and roared with the anger of hatred as his skin slowly started to turn pale.
Mischef, Mephiles, and Myral started chuckling as they finally got Xak to his limit; Mephiles went to the door leading to whatever was inside this temple as he started putting the chaos emeralds into the slots in the door.
"Mischef, it's ready, you know what to do!" Mephiles shouted as his brother nodded and looked back at Xak.
"It’s show time Xak.. It’s time to meet your new lord!" Mischef said chuckling, Xak only glared at Mischef and instantly bolted at him but missed as Mischef disappeared and reappeared near the door, as Myral stood next to Mischef and Mischef next to Mephiles seeing all three of them together only angered Xak more, and he bolted again at the three as they disappeared again but Xak had used to much strength in his leap and smashed into the door, getting his fist stuck in the door with the hole he made. 
Mischef calmly placed his hands on the door, then Mephiles, and then Myral and they each used their dark powers making the chaos emeralds glow, as Xak busted into flames which he didn't know that’s all they needed and the door opened.
"Hey what’s going on, the door ain't suppose to open!" the first voice said.
"What was with dat Ruckus?" the second voice said.
"My Return...." the third Voice said as the door opened wide and Xak stumbled into the dark chamber was the three brothers simples walked in, when the four were greeted with two massive titans echidnas looking ready to pummel some face.
"Hey Broda I thinks we gots some intrudas, what'chu tink I oughta do about'em?" the first Echidna says, looking down at them all.
"What we're supposed to do Broda, smash'em!" the second echidna answered.
"yeah Smash'em!" the first one agreed as the two echidna's through a punch in sync at the four intruders as they all four dodged the spot the echidna's punches instantly turned to rubble closing in the door way.
Xak, still in out of control in berserking anger immediately started to attack the echidna's as well did the 3 Brothers, Mephiles launched himself at one of the Echidna's as the Echidna saw him coming, and easily grabbed Mephiles by the head and smashed him down into the ground and finished Mephiles with a heavy stomp, while Myral made an attempt to free his brother by forming his crystal arm in a blade and started slashing at the leg of the Titan. The titan Echidna merely kicks Myral far across the room knocking him unconscious, while Mischef grew angry seeing his brothers being defeated, he exploded with black flames and started leaping at the titan's as his anger got the best of him, the Echidna's simply grabbed Mischef while in air.
"Hey we gotz ourselves a pet fly, Bro, can we keep'em?" the first Echidna said.
"Sure bro, but we gotz ta make sure he can fly, so we knows he's a good pet." the second echidna said.
"yeah Fly!" the first Echidna said as they both threw Mischef right into Myral’s unconscious body knocking him awake on impact, as Mephiles lifted the Echidna just barely off of him enough to make an escape from underneath.
"What are these things?" Mephiles questioned.
Xak being super pissed now, set himself ablaze in black flames, as the two echidna's spotted Xak and aims for him with a double sync punch, but suddenly they were stopped, Silver’s badly injured managed to hold enough strength to stop the two echidna's aiding Xak.
"I won’t let you hurt my friend!" Silver said out loud.
"I've had EEEEENOUGH!!" Xak said exploding blazing the whole room in black flames hurting everyone in the room being friend or foe, as Xak was soon depleted of energy, while everyone was knocked down from the explosion even the titans, all but one.
"Why thank you dear child, for finally releasing me from my 2,000 year imprisonment... and I shall thank you more gratitude in the near future, my child..." a new face spoke with glowing gold eyes.
Xak looked up before fainting seen this new face.
"Youz ain't going nowhere Martyr! Not while we're still here!" the first Echidna said.
"Yeah, not while we're here!" the second on repeated.
"Oh dear boys I'd love to stay and chat... but I must be going... the world is in desperate need of me hmhmhm…" the new face said as black smoke was summoned up to fog everyone's sights and suddenly vanished, with three brothers Mephiles, Mischef, and Myral all together.
"Who... was that?" Xak said and finally feel himself, as Silver rushed to Xak's aid.
"Xak get up, c'mon get up!" Silver said as the others awoke too shouting for help to be released from their bindings, Marytha getting back up after her grueling battle with Myral.
"Man, those guys don't mess around..." Marytha said as she saw the group shouting, she limped to their aid, and cut them free.
"Geez, that's the last time I race indoors, that’s for sure...” Shocram said stretching.
"Yeah me too." Sonic agreed.
"Is every one alright? What happened in here?" Shadow asked seeing the collisions and crashes in the chamber.
"One.. Really.. One-sided battle... and let me tell you... I sure didn't feel lucky..." Marytha said dropping to her knees in pain, "uhg! It feels like a sack of rocks busted me open... uhg.. It’s hurts so much..." Marytha cried as Spark and Mia hugged her.
"It’s okay you're safe now sister Mary." Mia said.
"Yeah you'll fine now I'll fix you up when we get back home." Spark said.
"Sounds good, I just hope you don't mean that literally..." Marytha said with a small cute chuckle.
Suddenly the group finally noticed the big door opened and saw Silver carrying Xak out both severely Injured.
"Xak!" Shocram and Mia shouted rushing to Xak’s aid.
"Silver!" Sonic and Shadow rushed to help Silver as well, "what happened?" he asked when suddenly the titans stepped out from the door way.
"Yer friend.. Just doomed us all, dat's what happened..." the first Echidna said.
"Yeah doomed..." the second echidna echoed.
"What do you mean?" Shocram asked, looking up at them.
"We mean, your, pal there... just released the most evil being ever to exists, and now we're screwed..."the first echidna said.
"Yeah screwed." the second echidna said.
"And who are you two exactly?" Solar asks out loud, which was brave enough to ask.
"We're the Titan Brothas, i'm Brute!" the first echidna said pumping his muscles.
"And I'm Force!" the second Echidna said flexing his muscles also.
"And togetha we're the Brute force take down!!" the titan brothers said in sync!
"The Brute Force take down?" Solar questioned, "So what were you two doing in their then?" Solar Proceeded to ask.
"We'z was guarding the Dark lord Martyr, so he couldn't escape" Brute said.
"Pretty much protecting the world, we've been trapping him here, for over two thousand years now... and then you guys showed up and doomed us all!" Force said.
"Yeah doomed us all" Brute repeated.
"So that’s why they wanted us here, and that’s why they lured Xak here especially... now it's beginning to make sense but things is still missing... what connection does Xak have with this dark voids?" Shadow and Cyborg questioned.
The group shrugged not knowing anything; soon the group began walking out of the temple with two new GIANT comrades.
"Man it's been so long sense we saw da sun huh Brute?" Force asks.
"Yeah my eyes are burnin' "Brute said.
"Alright let’s get a move on." Force and Brute said as the each picked up a hand full of companions and started leaping in great distances.
"Whoa! Could you guys be a little easier some of us just got beat up ya ‘know!” Marytha complained.
"WEEE!!!!" Mia said holding onto Brute’s locks.
"Hey titans!" Spark called out.
"Yo?" they replied in sync
"I just remember I have an old base near here, would you guys mind going east please?”
"H’yeah sure... um which way is east?" the brothers asked in sync.
"Uuhm... that way." Spark said pointing to the left.

The group now in recovery after a gruesome one-sided battle, and now a new foe to worry about... Martyr the Dark lord...
