The device appeared to cause something called lucid dreams and, if two or more users were connected, synchronized their brain waves in a way that created a shared dream, sometimes called dream walking. It seems some people are better at lucid dreaming and 'dream walking' than others.  That was all Jack could find out from researching his experiences on the web, well that and a forum with people sharing their other worldly experiences.
 After joining, posting his story and waiting the few responses he had received were mostly people calling it fake and saying it sounded like bad erotica, until he received a pm from MaxYawning. 
 "Hello, my name is MaxY and I believe your story. It's not that much of a stretch seeing as I have visited beings from other dimensions in their dreams. I will see you soon!" Jack stared at the screen and wondered what 'see you soon' meant and then he felt another's presence and spun around in his chair.
 The creature laying on his bed was defiantly not like anything he'd ever seen before. It had one patch of brown hair on its head and smaller patches on its face. "Hi Jack. Nice to meet you."
 "Mom, mom!" the pup panicked.
 "Calm down, this is a dream." Jack surveyed the room and noticed his bedroom was just slightly off. "I am Max."
 "Is that your real name?"
 "No, but it suits me don't you think? Do you have humans here?"
 "Humans? Here?"
 "Yeah, people like me, in this dimension?" Jack shook his head and Max frowned.  "So I must look pretty freaky, huh?" Jack nodded. "Well, I have two eyes and arms and
 legs like you..." Max drifted off and stared at Jack. The pup's eyes looked bright and innocent. 
 "Why are you here?" The pup's words broke the spell.
 "I just wanted to tell you that it seems like the device just boosts natural talent and get a look at the puppy from the story." Max got up and started petting Jack before placing one of his hands in Jack's shirt and slowly scratching down toward his...
 "What are you doing?!?" Jack jumped away.
 "Didn't you like it?" Max smiled.
 "No..." The human bit his lip and mentally kicked himself.
 "I'm sorry... I'm sorry." He sighed. "Time to wake up." It seemed like everything slowed down and the world faded to black. 
 Jack's mouth was dry and he was panting as he woke up. He lifted himself off of his keyboard and his eyes darted around the room. As far as he could tell he was awake. He looked at the screen and read MaxY's pm again. "Can you teach me how to do that?" Jack hesitated a moment before he hit reply.
 MaxY took awhile to reply, but Jack received instructions not to use his father's invention and instead visualize himself floating out of his body as he drifted to sleep and that MaxY would handle the rest. 
 As Jack fell asleep he could have sworn he saw the ceiling drifting closer, but it was quickly replaced with the sea of blackness that usually occurs before a dream. 
 "Hello, sunshine." MaxY greeted the pup. 
 "Huh?" Jack realized he was flying above himself. "Is this a dream?"
 "Sort of, kind of between reality and not reality really. So what do you want to do?" The human grinned.
 "I want to..." Jack floated to the ground "Do what you did to me. To someone else."
 "That's easy, just tell the universe what you want." Jack looked puzzled. "If you can knock over that action figure you can make someone fall asleep and dream walk." 
 Jack walked over and tried to knock down the Superman toy with no success as his hand drifted through the plastic. "It didn't work!"
 "Would I be here if it were so easy?"
 "Well, what do I do?"
 "Take off those clothes and you have yourself a deal."Jack frowned at MaxY, then tried several more times and even tried to hit it in frustration,  succeeding in wobbling it. "If it helps I can be someone else like the nurse who showed you how to pull back your sheath. " MaxY morphed into a possum woman, clad only in a white lab coat. "Or maybe a friend. " MaxY's voice shifted with his form as he turned into Alice. "Or even something a little more familiar." MaxY turned into Jack, but he was completely nude. "I already know what it looks like." Jack felt his own naked form against him as the human whispered in his ear. 
 "Alright. " Jack stripped as he watched his own penis slip from it's sheath in the form of MaxY watching him. "This is kinda creepy. "
 "I read your mind, you can't lie to me.  You thought it was weird, but you liked it when I turned into you. " Jack went back to undressing and paused before pulling down his briefs. "Trying to hide something? C'mon." MaxY pulled them down for him, revealing his matching erection. MaxY cupped Jack's ass and rubbed their cubhoods together. "Like a mirror." 
 "Tell me how to do it!" Jack pulled away and MaxY frowned.
 "Remember how you tilted it when you were angry? Channel the energy into your hands and visualize yourself knocking the toy over. " Jack listened to his clone and tried one last time and Superman fell to the ground with a thud. "Are you done now? Need anything else?" Jack smiled at his unhappy copy and gave him a hug. The hug made MaxY feel warm and sad as he morphed back into himself. 
 "Uh... Max?"
 "Just tell me you love me. I'll know you don't mean it, just say the words." The human cradled the puppy and fell back on the mattress as the puppy whimpered and whispered the meaningless three words phrase to him. The pup could fell tears splashing on his bare back.
