Cheeseburger The Hedgehog #1

To start from the beginning we have to go back to the year 198X where a man named Arnold Swartzeneggr is working in his pet shop on the run down side of town. He went to his favorite place to eat after work McHogs and got his usual order. Arnold pulled his car off to a parking spot waiting for the employees to come out to his car when he’s interrupted by a nearby noise. Arnold gets out of his car to investigate and found a small tiny little baby hedgehog rolling around in a bush near his car. “Aww it’s kinda cute!” Arnold exclaimed “Maybe someone could adopt you and take you home with them.” Arnold said as he rubbed it’s soft belly with his fingers. He quickly went to his car and found shoebox with a missing lid and put him in hoping he won’t try escaping. Arnold got back into his car just when he saw the an teenager in a employee outfit finally come out with a bag in his hand. After Arnold got his food and he returned back to the pet shop it was now nighttime and he wanted to eat, relax, and finally just go to sleep. Arnold’s apartment was on the second floor of the pet shop and was very small but had a living room with a couch and tv, kitchen, and bathroom. Arnold quickly put the shoebox on the couch and went to get changed into some more comfy clothes. Then returned back from downstairs with some gerbil food hoping that the hedgehog could eat it. The hedgehog was scared at first raising its quills in fear but soon moved over to the tiny bowls of food and water and started eating. Arnold began eating his food as well pulling out his order before flipping on the tv. Arnold looked back at the hedgehog in its box. “Hmm..” “I gotta call you something.” Arnold looked at his cheeseburger he ordered. “I know it’s sounds stupid but, I think cheeseburger is kinda a bit of a cute little name.” “Right?” Arnold looked over at the animal on its back and rubbed its soft tiny belly again with a free hand. Arnold smiled a bit but it quickly faded as he remembered that he’ll have to give him away at some point. “Don’t worry buddy you’ll be fine.” Arnold said to Cheeseburger as he eventually grew tired and balled up into a corner falling asleep. Arnold kept watching tv on the couch until he eventually fell asleep as well. Days passed and Arnold just kept doing his normal pet store gig trying to sell other animals like dogs, birds, hamsters, gerbils, and Cheeseburger who sat in his own cage closer to the desk all by his lonesome. Arnold watched as day after day people young and old would walk in and look at everything and always pass by the cage where Cheeseburger sat. Arnold tried asking his mother and father but they turned him down and said they had too much trouble with a dog already. Arnold decided taking some pictures and putting  an offer for anybody interested in owning a pet hedgehog. Arnold was thinking of getting rid of the offer when someone came forward and wanted to buy. Arnold messaged a date and time that they’re both comfortable with. “Yeah I need to sell him so I can afford to get rent paid this month.” Arnold’s shift working was finally over and the day was finally here. Arnold waited behind his counter for a while unsure if she’ll really arrive but as if on cue the bell to the shop door rings and startles Arnold wide awake as he looks up to see a twenty something woman with blond hair and a hoodie and thick black glasses steps in and begins to approach the counter. “Are You Arnold?” She asks “Depends are you Marry?” He asks back “Yes in fact I am.” She scans Arnold up and down until her face lights up at the realization of something. “Hey I think I recognize you from somewhere.” “Do you go to Super Science University?” She asks. “Yeah I have a class with Professor Fantavius.” He says. “Oh! I knew you looked familiar!” She says excitedly. “Do you have the hedgehog somewhere here that you showed on sale?” She asks changing the subject quickly. Arnold scratches his neck nervously “Umm... it’s not actually for sale...sorry.” He says shyly. “But I really like science too I’m hoping one day I can be an official scientist.” Changing the subject back to science. “Yeah I like to study space, animals, the earth whatever.” She says casually. “Do you wanna come upstairs to my place and talk more about science?” He asks. And so Arnold and Marry went upstairs and began to talk about their professor. “Arnold.” Marry starts. “Yeah?” Arnold responds “Do you think that Professor Fantavius is teaching all there is in those formulas?” Marry asks. “Well I would hope so he’s a teacher.” Arnold jokingly says. “I’m serious Arnold we may discover something new that might change how we view the world.” Marry says looking towards the floor. “You never know.” Arnold says back. And so Arnold and Marry begin to talk more about other things that they like music and movies finding that there tastes lined up well. Arnold began to chat more with Marry during school the next day and got her phone number and started chatting with her via text messages. Arnold and Marry began to talk so much that they started to set up plans to meet places like little restaurants or go watch movies at the movie theater. They began to hold each other and one couldn’t help but think of the other. However one night like any other night they walked back home to Arnold’s pet shop on the bad side of town. “Cmon let’s just go!” Marry teased “I don’t know something feels strange.” Arnold tried saying back to Marry but she was already going off ahead faster down the sidewalk Arnold speeding up to keep the pace with her. After Arnold caught up to Marry he held her hand tight. But suddenly Marry and Arnold both stopped in their tracks they heard something like gravel scrape across the sidewalk and then absolute silence. Deafening silence. Out of the shadows of an alley a figure came out with a knife it rose up high into the air and came down over and over until the knife and Marry was covered in dark red. Marry was screaming and fell to the ground. Arnold tried to pursue the figure but, to no avail as it quickly turned around and sprinted down the alley and hoped into what sounded like a vehicle as its tires screeched off. Arnold went over to Marry who was on the ground covered in red holes and coughing blood. Arnold held Marry in his arms and got close to hear Marry “I love y-“ her face and body went cold and stiff and lifeless. Years later Arnold dropped out of Super Science University convinced that their teachings were wrong. Arnold’s parents also eventually died as well after being so old for so long. Arnold began to lose business by using pets from the pet store to further his experiments. In a last ditch effort to try and find a way to bring back Marry once again. Arnold manages to get ahold of toxic waste and his concoction of science no too different from the stuff Marry taught years ago. With very little companions left Arnold takes Cheeseburger the hedgehog along with a little boat and ore farther out into the wilderness to test all of the science he’s developed to hopefully bring back Marry. When Arnold gets to the lake far away from any campers he pours the both the toxic waste and chemicals onto the hedgehog. Then sets the hedgehog into the boat with the ore. Suddenly Cheeseburger begins to grow larger and yellow with two legs and two peach arms. He begins to grow a peach muzzle and a peach belly. His ears become triangle like and have the same peach color. His eyes begin to glow a big and blue bright light from them. And begins to get giant glowing rings around his arms and legs. He rows so fast that bright multicolored light begins to to envelop him as he skates along the water. Then a bright white light flashes as both the hedgehog and boat are gone to another time.
